Indian Kebab House in Dumfries & Galloway

Had a curry from here the first night Stay in a local hotel after a short walk into town. The shop is half indain half kebab shop? Can not seem to get the balance right! The curry was not as expected it was more like a corma colour with potato chunks and chilled chicken grabbed from a glass chiller cabinet at the front of shop and chucked into a pan to warm up. Not much competition in the area but wouldn't recommend this shop.

Not sure why this gets bad reviews, we always eat here, chicken is so tender and dishes are always very tasty

Had chicken av tasted better dog food an am being serous like not good. A would of gave this place -stars but not optional.

Kebab undercooked, chips cold and stale, ordered a pizza and it came out cremated. Wasn’t the cheapest aswell. I’m usually not fussy and would appreciate anything, but this I would avoid and defos won’t be back!! Would rate as a 0 if I could

Understaffed but order was produced quickly , chef wore gloves to handle food but also took cash payment wearing same gloves. Chicken undercooked , kebab cold and chips had been re fried. Food ended up in the bin. Wasn’t cheap - £23 for three meals with no extras. Place and staff grubby looking. Will not be back

Ordered for a family of 7, food arrived with a full meal missing... Called restaurant and was very rudely told the order had been wrote down wrong and hung up on! No apology whatsoever (and may i add we were charged the earth for this meal!) Rest of meal dry and not appetizing! Very disappointing!

Utter rubbish. Curries are bland. Kebabs are dry and tasteless. Garlic naan is flavourless. Avoid at all costs. The worst Biryani I've ever seen, overcooked rice and peas with a tasteless sauce. It looked awful and didn't taste any better. Will never use again. I would score zero if possible.

They have a very good menu to pick from. I think the pizza's from here are excelent, you need to be hungry to finish the portions.

I visited this place a couple of years ago when I was in the area for work with some colleagues and 4/4 of us found it above average. Today's visit was around 7:30pm on a Sunday. This time I traveled out from Drummore as I was down on holiday visiting family, The place was dead not even a single person inside or out, I would usually avoid a completely empty take away at the weekend as it's usually a sign it's not very good but I knew this place from before so went in and ordered a large kebab, it looked of reasonable quality on the skewer and I even watched the guy cut fresh meat from it, i was then met with one of the worst things I have tasted. The kebab was extremely dry and brittle, severely lacking in flavour and very overcooked - at least half was on the verge of going crispy with the ends already gone, the pakora sauce accompanying it was not much better, would not even feed this to an animal. By far the worst kebab I have ever attempted to eat. Will not be back ever.

Llegamos a la ciudad en una visita de familia, y queríamos un poco kebabs plato hindú de estilo a verme a través del día siguiente. No había nada Indian acerca de mi kebab cuando llegué a casa, había crudas coberturas de pizza y patatas fritas sin cocer en el "hoggie" ahora sé que esto no iba a ser bien comedor comida india, pero por £8.50 me esperaba un medio laminados kebabs decente y no un desastre cruda y una visita al médico. Además, el servicio era pésima después de que nos dijeron que estaría lista en 5-10 minutos, fue finalmente lista 30 minutos más tarde. ¿Cómo se puede tomar 30 minutos a enrollaba crudas ??? Creo que voy a ir a algún otro sitio la próxima vez.
