In Excess in New Forest

My second visit. Wish I lived nearer to visit regularly. A lovely menu in Charlotte’s tea rooms for lighter lunches so reasonably priced and delightful staff. Love the garden centre. The inside shop is, unlike most garden centres, very reasonably priced - it’s an Aladdins Cave! I must go back there - never mind the 50 minute drive!!!!

This little coffee shop and restaurant in our local In-Excess Garden centre is a gem! My cappuccino was piping hot (a rarity these days) and delivered to my outside table where I enjoyed some Autumnal sunshine...!

Came here late afternoon during the week for coffee with my Father. Nice outdoor seating area and very friendly staff. The latte here is very well made, and was served hot, which was fantastic. Had a cherry and buttercream cake, which was very tasty and was a very generous portion size and and very good value for money. Nice outdoor area to wander around and look at plants, with plenty of roses in their pots, which look lovely and colourful. Many of the staff who work in the shop also seem to be very pleasant and friendly.

This is a lovely friendly place to enjoy a light lunch or coffee or cakes with family friends or solo. The food is cooked to order.

We’ve been coming here for years, the staff have always been amazing, polite , helpful, friendly, fast service, and great food, love coming to the shop, and the cafe, it’s a treat, and your always made to feel special ❤️

We had not visited this shop for quite sometime, as we found the one nearer us on the Southampton road, the shop there is nice, and the cafe is too, but on several occasions we have found the staff in the restaurant unhelpful, and unfriendly, so we went back to our old place in polymer area Ringwood, all the staff there are helpful and friendly, and one of the girls in the cafe who has been there a long time, put herself out to come over and welcome us back, it was lovely, we will stick to this one from now on.

Stopped in on the return journey home out of curiosity. Garden centre has plenty to offer with prices being fair offering a good variety of plants etc. Hidden away is the small cafe area, which was busy during our visit. We both had latte to drinl and panni with salad. Food portions were perfect as was the food itself. Very friendly staff on a busy Saturday. Shall be revisiting soon.

I came here last summer and it was lovely but not today sadly. It was a quiet day with few customers so the three staff were hanging around which is fine. However, the first table I went to still had two old glasses and an empty can and was covered with crumbs. The next hadn't been wiped down so I aimed for the corner table which I expected hadn't been used. I ordered a tea, coffee and cake and although I was only one of 2 tables in they forgot the tea. The whole experience was very disappointing. Please train your staff to stop chatting and ensure the tables and crockery are spotlessly clean, and a smile would help.

Very happy staff are knowledgeable and helpful especially the Hungarian lady so pleasant I hope your paying her well. Prices good and great selection,plenty of parking and a nice cafe. A pleasant experience all round.👏👏👏👏

In Excess is a garden center and shop and well hidden within amongst the plants is a very great cafe serving good quality cooked food and coffee tea and cakes. There is plenty of seating in side and some outside on the decking. The shop and garden center is very dog friendly ( watch for treats at the till! ) and although you can't take a dog into the cafe you can sit on the very nice deck outside with your dog as i did today. I ate a really excellent vegetarian full english breakfast with Latte coffee and took a cake home.
