Always on point with the flavour. You can tell that Imo Oluwa has a culture of excellence Another experience - 18th of October 2024 Staff at my school have ordered food from ImoOluwa to celebrate Black History Month two years in a row now. Thank you ImoOluwa for supporting our school celebrations and helping us to make fond memories through beautifully prepared and yummy food

Visited the restaurant to have their abula. The portion and protein size is huge and impressive but the taste of the food was quite disappointing. It wasn’t tasty or spicy, more like almost bland. The best world to use is, “the abula was manageable but not delicious as expected “ The food took almost an hour to prepare, ambience wasn’t too nice but the man who attended to us was very kind and lovely. Will I recommend their abula in terms of taste and deliciousness? Nope! Maybe try some else on the menu.

Had a stop over in Manchester and saw the place recommended from google. Please don’t be put off by the reviews, the meal we got was alright and we enjoyed it. The portions were large, beef was really soft and meals were fresh. The ayamase sauce was fiery so if you have low spice tolerance avoid that. Overall good experience

I believe as an Amala connoisseur this is arguably the best Amala spot in England. I have been to good restaurants with good atmosphere but poor food. They have an atmosphere that reminds me of a spot in Ibadan. The amala is soft, fluffy and usually buried at the base of the food bowl with generous toppings of soup, and very soft meats to my delight. The atmosphere for me was 3 star because the toilet was did not have a hand dryer for drying hands.

The external view of the restaurant can be improved. It was hard to know if it was open or closed. The interior has a lot more room for improvements. It's a bit tight even when it wasn't full. I used the toilets, and I believe it could use a bit of fancy to make it more welcoming. It was clean and didn't have any foul smells, but it could look nicer. The meal was nice, we had Abula (Amala, gbegiri and stew), egusi, efo, and ila with poundo. They were good and well prepared. The meat was soft and easy to consume. We didn't need toothpicks in the end, even though it was offered. We got puff puff as a starter. The puff puffs cost about 3 puffs a pound. Was just right, as we flushed it down with Malta Guinness and Fanta. It's quite nostalgic, though. We didn't order the rice or any non native meals. So I can't comment on the taste of those. However, compared to other places I have been, I can say the price of the meal was a bit more expensive. I paid £25 for Abula with Egufe (goat meat), and as I told them, I had told them, wasn't supposed to be that much.

This is the most outrageous reap of Nigerian keep away. You are over charged from what is on the menu. The meat tasted spoilt the amala was not well cooked.I had an upset stomach after eating. If you love yourself stay away there are other Nigerian restaurants that are better and serve better food at a cheaper prize. Complete waste of money. I went with the reviews hoping this restaurant would be better than the one nearby in Little hulton, Frankly I don't know which is worse after this experience. Tiny egusi soup portion, very dry and hard meat to chew nevermind swallow then the pounded yam was dried out. I had ordered it because it had a lot of recommendations. In retrospect; it seems it has a lot of recommendations because of the Abula, however, that was not what I ordered. I ordered the vegetable egusi and the jollof rice. I also wanted the Moimoi but was informed it was out of stock. Positives; huge food portions and the puff puff was good. Negatives; did not enjoy the food. It tasted really really off. I cannot place exactly why it tasted that way. The Jollof rice felt like rice and stew. I was terribly disappointed.

Rarely do I go out of my way to leave a review but I just have to rave about Imooluwa Restaurant. I recently graduated from the university of Manchester and had family coming in to celebrate with me. I reached out to the restaurant to cater for my graduation because I had ordered from them on Uber eats before and liked their jollof rice. The food was amazing and everyone raved about the catering. The pricing was very reasonable and the customer service was great! I am so happy with the restaurant and glad there were left over because it was just that good. The jollof rice was the star of the show. I wasn’t a big fan of the fried rice but I am a picky eater so that might just be me. The assorted meat and stew was amazing; shaki, beef, chicken, everything was cooked soft and juicy. I defiantly would recommend this restaurant not just for dinner but also for their catering services. Thank you Immoluwa restaurant. My guests and I were very impressed.

Waited quite a while so they could the exact order yet, was given something beef instead of goat meat. Tasted the food (abula) and it was just bland. Everything about the soup and protein was stale.
