Ilirian Greek Taste in Salford

The food didn’t have much flavor. My husband and I hadn’t eaten all day so we were famished. But we only took a few bites. It really wasn’t that great, but it could have just been what we got. We bought chicken gyros, orange cake, and baklava. The gyros had lots of sauce on them. That was awesome. The chips and everything else was lacking any flavor. The orange cake was very sweet but I could only take a few bites. I was most excited about it. The baklava had a ton of syrup in it. It pooled at the bottom of the container. I grew up with my dad making baklava all the time. It just didn’t have any flavor either. It was strange. I wanted to enjoy it more. The service was so great and kind. I just would not recommend to a friend.

google claims ive been here. i havent. i drove my ewheelchair past it the other day. hopefully the owners will complain to google n eventually google will be forced to adapt their pathetic algorithm so walking past somewhere doesnt count as going inside.

We were spending the morning outside and decided to get a couple of quick coffees and some cheese pies. Everything was very nice and also the girl there was very kind. If we ever find ourselves here again, we will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu 😄

Absolutely delicious dinner at Ilirian and gorgeous baklava for pudding

In the area my husband and I fancied a Greek and found this place. The food is nice - some was great (I LOVED the bouyiourdi) and some was not as great (the chicken kebabs were quite bland in my opinion and the baklava had an unusual taste). My husband asked for less pita bread than the mixed grill would usually be served with (asi don't eat bread and he didn't want to waste it) and it came with a mountain of pita! The service wasn't the best - there were lots of examples of what I think may be a language barrier (the pita bread being one). It was a shame our mixed grill for 2 was served at the same time as our starters as I felt overwhelmed by the food and struggled to eat it all whilst warm. We waited about 20 mins for our mains plates to be cleared - as did a neighbouring table - and they were only then cleared when a dessert I ordered at the till was served. The toilet was a bit dilapidated and could do with an update. I really wanted to like this place, especially as the people did seem lovely, but I do think improvements could be made

Been a few times . the best place in eccles. Popped in had mixed grill to share.more than enough food.the meat was delicious salad fresh.& the lamb chops we waited for as cooking them fresh were perfect ,so credit ti the chef.good price for the quality & amount of food

I have been eating here regularly since the opening of this place. There is a very big difference! Portions are small and much more expensive, I understand that. But the food is nasty!!! Unseasoned and devoid of vegetables, just a bit of lettuce and onion! And those delicious sauces are gone! They serve some tasteless liquid, not tzatziki! Even though the service is still very nice, I don't want to eat here anymore.

I tried it here for the first time. Easy access for disabled. The ambience was excellent, small, but friendly. I ordered cortado coffee and orange cake. The orange cake was very tasty. My one disappointment was I was served cappuccino coffee. Spoilt the whole experience for me. I would have given them 5* otherwise.

Two of us went for Saturday lunch and nearly all the tables were full. I had chicken souvlaki and my husband had mixed gyros, the meat was slightly dry in both but the bread was very tasty. We then had a piece of orange cake each, trying to recreate the one we had in Athens which was supremely awesome. This was ok, nice and moist but nothing special and expensive at £4 for a small piece. The staff were very nice.

The ambience is quite good. The pizza was freshly made and tasted delicious. Not a lot of hit to the wallet as well. Certainly recommend if you are around.

The food has always been ok, plain and simple and a bit on the expensive side for what you get ... given the recent 30% price hike it's now become extortionate, Sorry to say but I doubt I'll be ordering from here again ...

The food here is delicious. Very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are big. We left feeling comfortably stuffed. Looking forward to going back very soon.

We came here today after our usual Greek place in Eccles we go to was full. We found this place on google, and upon arrival was very warmly greeted by the waiter, she was lovely. The atmosphere and decor in the place was stunning. It felt like being in Greece! It looked like a proper Greek restaurant. We were also very surprised about the low prices. The full mixed grill attached in the picture was just £10. £10! Yes for all that food! This is a bargain considering other places charge literally almost DOUBLE the prices. And half the usual price for gyros too. As expected from the other reviews the food was delicious. Just proper Greek food which of course was perfection! What more can you ask for? Fantastic atmosphere and service, friendly and happy staff, fantastic prices, and delicious food. We will definitely only be coming to this place from now on and won't be going anywhere else for Greek food! I wish the best for this business, they really deserve it.

We eat here often and i always have the lamb chops which are done to perfection but this time they were so overcooked they were not edible along with the bread.

Food is nice but it was cold when it got here. You need to wrap the food better to keep it hot.

Popular place , latte was brought to my table and was piping hot. Very good service and was reasonably priced. Wish I had more time and had food as looking at the next table it looked amazing.

Absolutely fantastic gem. I had the Greek Meze which was beautifully cooked, delicious and flavourful. We went there as a group and enjoyed every minute of the experience, also thanks to the friendly staff and the very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!!

Unbeatable for the money. The halloumi is particularly good, but everything in our Greek meze and Ilyrian special was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and service. I'll definitely be coming back.

Ordered a chicken gyros last night not only was the food very late too my surprise my chicken gyros was not in the box it was just a few chips for 17 pounds avoid!!

My wife and I went in for lunch today. We had a Gyro and a Pizza. Both were excellent and very good value. Staff were extremely nice.

Great food atmosphere and very easonable price wise. Better value and quality than other places. Nice casual atmosphere if you fancy a bite when you're out shopping, or for a meal night out. It's my go to eatery. 5⭐

I was twice already and looking forward to go again. Fantastic food! Very tasty, fresh ingredients, generous portions. Very friendly personnel, in particular Ms. Elena. Service in time and always with a smile. My son is vegetarian and he found quite a lot of options.

Sooooo damn good! And very sizeable portions too! Came in worrying if it would be enough, but left with a belly full of food. Definitely will come back

First tried this place on Wednesday just gone, two days ago and I've been back this evening already. I had the chicken gyro, and at £6.50 it's an absolute bargin, it's so fresh and tastes so so good. The staff always have a smile on their face and are happy to answer any questions we have. Brilliant food, brilliant place.

We've had food there twice now and both times it was so incredibly fresh and tasted so so good. It'll definitely be the default take away we go for and have already been recommending it to people!

Delicious Mediterranean food in a pleasant setting, the view out of the window isn't particularly inspiring but can't be helped. The atmosphere inside is nice with traditional music and colourful paintings, and service was prompt and efficient. The gyros is well seasoned and the meze platters are very generous (please put the gigantes back on the menu though!). Kids loved their pizzas. Coffee is very strong if you need a caffeine boost and reasonably priced. A great addition to Eccles.

I work nearby and love to pop in for a quick, Mediterranean meal! The atmosphere is airy, staff is attentive, menu selection is great and meal sizes generous and great value! Perfect place to eat for everyone and anyone for solo, families, chilled vibe!

Had the mixed grill for 2 delivered … and can say it was gorgeous.. lamb chops were done to perfection nice a soft and not chewy…. Greek sausage 👍🏻👍🏻

Food was cold such nice food ruined by being cold on arrival

Never ever AGAIN!! my mrs has just thrown hers in the bin. It was dripping with grease, tasted absolutely disgusting. Not happy

Food tasted great however was stone cold. After warming it up in the microwave was very nice but not ideal. Would possibly order again as it was tasty but if cold again would probably give it a miss.

The portion size of one small chips between two does not equal the amount of money charged. The dip was extremely salty and it says two but received 1. It’s very expensive and top quality. Won’t be ordering again.

The gyros were incredible will 1000% be ordering again!! we were missing the baklava and was sent a cake of some sort instead other than this i was incredible happy!

Soggy cold mess after being an hour late. Said the driver couldn’t ring me but restaurant rang me on my number.

This place is a hidden gem. I hadn't visited before because I usually have my dog with me, but this time, I decided to go in and try their meze. It was an incredible experience. The meze was not only delicious but also generously portioned, allowing me to savor a wide variety of authentic Greek flavors. The selection they offer is remarkable, providing an opportunity to taste a bit of everything from Greece's culinary traditions. I'm already looking forward to my next visit; this place is a definite must-try.

Wrong order was sent. I called to let them know and was told they'd correct the issue. One hour later, still no food. I called back and was told the kitchen was closed so they would refund me. I was not refunded and thanks to the pathetic just eat refunds procedure. It looks like I'm losing my money. Do not order from here

Thoroughly impressed with my gyros and delicious orange cake. Had a take out but looks a nice place to eat in or outside on a table. Eccles needs more places like this one. Staff are really nice and used the really clean loo while I waited a short time for my food. Even fussy eaters would be happy here.

Would love to visit again, for food this time, but as they don't serve gluten/wheat free vegetarian food apart from cheese salad, then it's a no-no from me. Our server was lovely and patient and helpful but ultimately, couldn't help.

Lovely little Greek place in Eccles with fabulous food. Staff take time to explain dishes when requested. Larger parties probably need to book a table. Great for walk in food and can be delivered locally.
