Il Pizzaiolo in Barking and Dagenham

Came here for the first time in years yesterday and now we regret not coming more often! The ingredients all taste fresh and high quality, and we got given a little bowl of cheese and a bowl of sliced chillies which was a nice touch.

This is a see and good restaurant

Very good pizza and pasta in London at a relatively affordable price.

Pizza sind weltklasse, service auch

1st came here in September in a heatwave when London was quiet but yesterday it was packed. I cannot recommend this place enough the staff are courteous and the food is fantastic. It is not pricey either, I pay more in Southampton. Food quickly delivered and of extremely high quality and large portions. Please have the Pizza bread to share 1st! Will be back in mid Jan thank you again Il Pizzailo :)

Fantastic food at a reasonable price

What a wonderful place! We had to find a venue at short notice to host a Christmas lunch having been badly let down by Hush/Soho House. I can't begin to tell you how lucky we were to find Il Pizzaiolo, and how accommodating they were. With one week to go they managed to provide us with a table to seat 18 and service that made Hush look positively second rate. The team at Il Pizzaiolo were so charming and helpful that it made the whole afternoon. All of my guests were unanimous in their praise. Big groups can be awkward to organise, but the team helped by bringing starters for the group as a whole and making the ordering process really smooth. When the food arrived it was delicious, once a gain everyone said how much better the food was than our original choice. You can enjoy 'fine dining' all you want, but there is nothing better than going to a restaurant that actually cares about you. That is what Il Pizzaiolo provides. Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you all - we will be in touch about next year!

Mein Freund und ich haben zwei Calzonen bestellt. Bei "Just eat" habe ich extra noch geschrieben, dass eine Calzone keinen Schinken enthalten soll. Leider war trotzdem in beiden Calzonen Schinken drin. Für Vegetarier ist eine Bestellung bei diesem Restaurant deshalb nur bedingt empfehlenswert. Meinem Freund hat es geschmeckt. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell.

Vraiment bonnes, servi bien chaud mais on a attendu au moins 40 minutes, c'était plein. (Nous étions une table de 7). La pâte est très bonne et les légumes sont frais, je recommande.

Was recommended this restaurant by a friend so we decided to book it for our Xmas friends day out in London In a perfect location off of old bond street , service was brilliant and almost all the dishes were spot on , had a problem with one dish and that was taken off the bill All tasty and good sizes , clean restaurant and friendly staff .

Went here for a quick meal after work. Friendly staff, great portion sizes. The pizza and garlic bread were the best balance of crispy and soft. Pasta was huge (too much to eat) but really tasty. Well priced considering location.

Durchschnitt würde ich sagen. Die Pizza mit 4 Sorten Käse war wirklich lecker, das Fleisch in der Bolognese leider nicht, total knorpelig. Hauswein auch nicht gut. Ambiente na ja. Preise für London okay. Portionen sind recht groß.

Très bon restau italien. On s'est régalés. Il n'y pas que de la pizza. Attention à la carte, deux pizzas se ressemblent mais l'une est avec mozza fondue, l'autre avec mozza genre burrata posée dessus. Demandez au serveur.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere and music - highly recommend!

A great place to stop for lunch with a good selection of dishes prepared in the small kitchen next to the tables. The food was excellent and arrived very promptly, and the meal overall was reasonably priced. It would have been nice to have a good tea option on the menu (even though I appreciate this isn't very Italian!), although I suspect there would have been some available if I'd asked. Would definitely return, and would definitely recommend.

Found this place on google maps as it was the closest to us, and we are so glad we popped in! -1 for loud music (in my opinion) For wheelchair users - toilets only accessible by stairs

Service was great. Only tried the pizza which looked good but not much flavour, which is a shame. Prices are reasonable.

Came here for lunch during a visit to London with my partner, the one and only restaurant we visited whilst there over the weekend and had no faults. Food tasted lovely and was reasonably priced as well. Lovely little venue too.

Dinner here on the first night in London. Recommended by our family and so worth it. Great ambiance, friendly service. The food is very tasty and fastly served, drinks too. Clean place and cozy. Will come back.

Such a wholesome place in the heart of Soho! Was starving and craving some Italian. Saw this place of GMaps and was walking distance from the station. We ordered a pasta and a pizza to share! It was simple, sublime and so comforting🥹 Cooked by Chef Luis. The portion size was so worth the price too. Maybe for the first time ever I was served such a big bowl of Pasta in the UK . Paid 20£ each so pretty decent and such a happy tummy! Definitely recommend . I love it when I discover such amazing places without any intentions🥹🥹🥹

Love this privately owned and very personal Italian restaurant in north Mayfair. Don't go here if you like tiny portions and big prices, or wish for Instagrammable images. Do come here for great honest pizzas and pastas made with love. Very few of these places left in the West End.

Overview: Tasteless food, slop in a plate. The terrible music playing was techno - not a great choice for an Italian restaurant. More apt for a coffee shop in Amsterdam. The food - disappointing. I ordered the salmon pasta.. there would be more fish in a vegan option. And the staff standing outside smoking as if this were the back of a school yard. To top this off we mentioned that the music was loud and the salmon non existent aswell as a final comment when the bill was served with a 10% service charge! An utterly disgraceful attitude and a waste of money. McDonald's would be a better choice than this dive.

This place is an absolute gem. Excellent service. Fresh made Italian food with great portions. I had the Lasagna and it was amazing! A must see. You won’t be disappointed.

The carbonara was passable. However, others food was severely lacking. They were playing awful techno music in an Italian restaurant. It was mentioned to staff twice, however the music continued. When making a complaint at the end, there was no acknowledgement of it. Wouldn't frequent here again. Finito.

Great staff, lovely atmosphere in beautiful settings. I got the spaghetti bolognase and it was tasty but it was like something you'd make at home. Slightly missing that va va voom. Still I would recommend as the pizza looked unreal. Sorry I didn't try.............

El encargado es un engreido , altanero o como decimos los argentinos - un forro- Una lastima ! La comida , si bien es abundante al menos el plato que nos tocó a nosotros es insípido. Personalmente, a nosotros (mi novio y yo) no nos gustó para nada . Hasta se siente a lo lejos el ruido a microondas ! Decepcionante !

Se si ha voglia di un locale italiano,a due passi da Oxford Street,questo è ottimo per rapporto qualità/prezzo.Buona cucina,buona pizza(pizzaiolo napoletano)pulizia e grande cortesia del personale.Trovandosi in una piccola e tranquilla via,anche mangiare all'aperto coi bambini fa stare sereni.

Nous étions trois touristes à midi, les plats furent excellents. Ce que nous n'avons pas apprécié est qu'ils ont servi une très grande tablée qui était arrivée après nous.

Lovely to sit in the sun with a drink, however, the food is so-so…very plain, past in tomato sauce will be just plain pasta and tomato sauce…nothing speacial… even a chain like Zizzi is a way better

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Il Pizzaiolo. Leider war es ein eher durchschnittlicher Besuch eines Restaurants. Die Lasagne war in der Mitte nicht ganz durch, geschmacklich ok. Das vegetarische Risotto war auch geschmacklich nur in Ordnung. Wir haben für 2 Essen und 2 Getränke 39 Pfund bezahlt. Alles in allem aufgrund des Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen.

The food was tasteless and disappointing. The risotto looked and tasted like a GCSE Food Tech project. Honestly, absolutely no flavour. It seems like they boiled some rice and added some canned tin tomatoes. It was honestly shocking The service was also awful. If your goal is to have a tasty and filling meal; I don’t recommend. If you’d like to be disappointed, give it a go.

The food was delicious!!! They have wines for a good price, the atmosphere was cosy and family .. the waiters were friendly and cordial. I loved that place and I want to come back soon

Great Italian food and a lovely staff. The pizza we ordered was delicious, I’d say £6 for a bruschetta is a bit pricey but overall good quality for what you pay. Toilets were nice and clean. Removing 1 ⭐️ for adding service charge, the waiters' compensation should be included in the price of the food.

One of the Best Italian pizza in the Isle of Man!

Whilst we were having a dinner the waiter all of a sudden blasted some song she liked and then turned it back down to normal. After a little another waiter turned the music off completely and turned on football way too loud which he was watching by himself, lile we were in a bar where the world cup is happening, I literally left with a headache. Very unprofessional and egoistic. Also if you want to receive a professional manner, this is not the place as the waiters are dressed awfully, walking around with dirty trainers and bomber jacket.

Very mediocre. Spaghetti carbonara was super small portion. Not even e kids size! and at almost 13 pounds, way overpriced for what you get. The taste was good, but left my too hungry afterwards. My girlfriend got the lasagne wich was below average. You expect more from an italian restaurant with such prices. Would not recommend.

Service was kind and prompt but my pizza came completely cold and hard. It was very difficult to slice and was missing the basil topping...I appreciate that they were one of the few places open on boxing day but for 17 pounds I would much rather go somewhere else.

Great tasting pizzas, quick service and at a good price! Went early evening and it was fairly quiet.

Had to find a last-minute place to watch the World Cup finals and were lucky enough to find a seat at this restaurant. Glad we did as the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Special shout out to our waitress who was hustling hard during the busy service.

Great food! Typically Italian restaurant running short of staff and everyone off their feet but they were all nice, most of them. The food was great! Pizza was to die for and the pasta okay. They gave us a tiramisu on the house as we waited quite a bit for our food after we got our starter. (25 mins or more). I would go back and just hope the speed was faster as the decor and vibe of the place was nice!! I really liked the place.

Found this pretty much by accident. Great little place, friendly staff and brilliantbfood, prices very reasonable for central London. My wife had the insalatta tricolori and I had the calamari fritti. I have to say one of the best I have ever had, just melted in the mouth, hence the picture of an empty plate! We both had Pizzas, vegetarian and Diavola we asked for additional spice and the brought a bowl of chopped chillis in oil, brilliant. Drinks were also very good and fairly priced. Highly recommend.

Sub-par food. Left my friend and I with a upset stomach. So much that he threw up a poor excuse they call a seafood arabiata. This was not the first time this place had charged ridiculous prices for terrible dishes. Most customers here look like they accept the terrible quality and try to get out of the place as fast as possible. Avoid this place.

One of the best Italian style thin pizzas I've had in London!! Delicious 👍👍👍 Total Hidden gem which should be visited when shopping in the area. Had the Tonno y Cipolla which was extremely flavourful. Being a chili fan when they offered to bring some it was an obvious yes. The nice surprise was this wasn't a paste or sauce, it was fresh chillis chopped and in olive oil. With the friendly service and fair prices I can't wait to return!

Came across this restaurant by chance when walking at the back of Oxford Street. Shared a couple of pizzas and garlic bread which were very tasty. Decor of the restaurant was nothing special but you were able to sit outside

Great restaurant with great range of Italian food. We've tried II pizzaiolo pizza and it was really nice specially with fresh mozzarella.

I walked in with a client 21.27hrs and then a member of staff stood up from a table with 3 ladies abs find me myself that they are no longer serving food. As I was about to leave the 3 lady's on the table then decided to abuse me to leave and the member off staff was laughing with them, please check your CCTV as I will be making a bigger complaint on this. No need to being abused when being turned away for food and when you close at 23.00

Not good. Not the food, nor the service. First, I asked the server if the tuna in the Salad Nicoise was fresh. He said yes but it wasn’t, it was canned and it took half an hour to be served. It had no dressing. I asked for dressing and they gave me olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dress it myself. Then, the penne quattro formaggi was bland. I wanted to cancel the order but apparently the chef had started making it. It had no taste. The food was definitely not worth the wait. The portion size is good hence two stars, but the taste…skip this place.

Genuine, authentic, family run Italian. We actually just walked past this place and it looked so good that we gave it a try. Pizzas were beautiful and clearly freshly made and hand stretched. Totally reasonable prices too, especially for this part of London. Give the chain restaurants a rest and try this place, you won't regret it. The pasta bowls we saw coming out were enormous and there were lots of smiling faces enjoying them. Lots of Italian nationals in there so that's usually a good sign too. Don't be put off by the basic looking menu, the food itself is great 👍

Fabulous hidden gem of an Italian restaurant. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints.

I loved this place. It was fresh and reminded us of small pizzerias in Italy. Perfect crust, sauce, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. I want to reconstruct it are home!

Urgently needing an emptying of the bladder, we impulsively made for this little Italian place thinking we'd have a couple of quick beers and small bite to eat after shopping nearby, before moving on swiftly with our day...How wrong we were. The place itself was fine - we particularly enjoyed the amateur frescos and the numerous bare assess of the cherubs above our heads. So far so good. It took a while for us to be acknowledged - Liverpool vs Chelsea was on the TV and the staff seemed preoccupied with enjoying this fine sporting contest of two Italian giants, rather than sitting us. In the end we simply picked a table and sat ourselves. Drinks arrived fairly quickly, but our mistake seemed to be in ordering two of the simplest dishes on the menu - a prawn salad and melon with prosciutto ham. The place wasn't particularly busy, but since the chefs seemed preoccupied with the sporting entertainment, we figured we'd order something that required minimal preparation and thought. Remarkably and much to our amusement, it took an hour to receive a slice of melon hidden under a layer of ham that looked like it had been simply tipped out of the packet straight from Sainsburys and decided to die on the piece of melon. Perhaps the melon was hiding its embarrassment at having been served in this brutal manner. The dish would have taken an uncoordinated toddler 30 seconds to prepare in a similar style. We waited an hour. The best was to come however, as the salad was an ungarnished delight of completely dry salad leaves (perhaps they've not discovered dressing or olive oil in this establishment yet) and a teas spoon full of mini frozen prawns with a dollop of prawn cocktail sauce. Three bites was all I could manage. I did ask for some Tabasco in the vain hope of attempting to burn some vestige of flavor into my mouth...but it never arrived. Avoid.

We came for coffe and tea … we sat down outside !! No people inside and outside !! Weiter said if we dont order food we must go !!! One more time i say ! Was zero people !! Never saw something like this !!!

I went here today with my son, and this honestly the best Italian food I have ever eaten . The best chilli pasta I have tasted. I will be bringing my whole family back . I highly recommend
