Il Mulino in South Kesteven

A friend and I had a lovely meal at Il Mulino on Friday night. The service was so swift we were in and out in just over an hour. It would have been nice if we could have had a more leisurely experience but our meal was cut short when we tried to order coffee and were told that the coffee machine wasn't working! We had no alternative but to go home and have our coffee.

Great food and service on our second visit and will definitely go again. Rather noisy partly because of large group with uncontrolled children but also because there's nothing to absorb any noise so maybe recommend a few"soft furnishings ". The courtyard outside is lovely. Give it a try.

An excellent meal served my friendly staff. Portion sizes are large and very tasty. The tiramisu was one of the best I have had. We had not booked and we were very lucky to get a table. We will def return

With all the great reviews we were really looking forward to our meal. The staff and service was faultless, however the food was bland. My wife had a chicken masala dish and whilst the sauce was creamy it was bordering on tasteless.i had tuna and pasta with onion olives and their homemade tomato sauce. The tuna was put of a tin and mixed with the sauce which bland. Both dishes were served on cold plates, very disappointing

If the menu is correct as I walked out of the door, I was charged £7.00 for a pint of Moretti. This was poured out of at least one bottle. The pizza should have had chillis on, but no sign or taste of them. A poor effort.

First visit and won’t be the last. Ambience excellent, service excellent, food excellent. The food was delicious. My wife had salmon pasta and I had pork fillet in a mushroom cream sauce. Shared a tiramisu to finish a great meal.

What can I say. This place is lovely called in on the off chance as we have wanted to visit for a while. The staff were lovely and attentive but not intrusive in anyway. They let us take our time looking at the menu as there were so many things to choose. We opted for the pizza as we love a pizza and side salad. I had a glass of house white which was delicious and hubby had a coffee. He said it was the best coffee he has had. Wow the pizzas, loads of toppings, steaming hot and so fresh. It definitely is the best pizza I’ve ever had and I have eaten lots. I want to try everything on their menu but would be gutted not to have a pizza again as it was so tasty. They are 12in so couldn’t eat it all which was good because we got to bring it home and have the next day. We will definitely be visiting again the whole restaurant is lovely and if you like Italian food then I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The food at Il Mulino is unreal and our families favourite, it's always a pleasure to visit. The chicken dishes are so yummy with huge portions - we love the pollo alla crema! Always have such lovely service too, would fully recommend. 10/10!

This was about the best lasagna I've ever had... so delicious! Good house wine. Great service. Reasonable prices. Right in the heart of Bourne. We heartily recommend it.

We booked a table here for just over 20 of us on a Saturday night, we were really impressed by the service and food. The staff were really helpful and friendly couldn't fault anything. All our food came out hot, one after the other and with no issues. The restaurant was nice and it has a lovely enclosure courtyard garden out the back where you can eat on a nice evening. Would definitely recommend and return , thank you to all the staff that were part of our visit.

Favourite restaurant in Bourne. Truly authentic Italian food with a great family atmosphere. Visit with my 4 year old daughter and the staff were really attentive at all times. Great food, great staff, definitely my number one go to place for dining in Bourne. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked a meal for a birthday celebration. Saw the reviews on here regarding service - the service was fine, attentive and prompt. The menu however is nothing like you see online.
