Amazing place on the seafront of Weymouth. We have been here twice now, first time was an amazing cooked breakfast and today was the most beautiful cream tea, the scones were warm and melt in your mouth and the jam and cream just topped it off. Mich is a lovely host, happy to take photos for us and very friendly and helpful. Definately a place to visit when in Weymouth whether locals like us or visiting.

Fabulously friendly restaurant. We booked a table for an afternoon tea but ended up ordering the most unbelievably good breakfast. The staff are so lovely, the food is fantastic and the location is great. Well worth a visit

We ate here on the way to an event so only had time for a main course. The seafood tagliatelle was generous and delicious, and the chicken rissotto very tasty. I would highly recommend this place.

Now under new management we decide to go for a pizza evening. The decor is very attractive and we felt very comfortable and cosy. Very gentle enjoyable music playing in the background so you could still have a conversation. Our pizzas were first class, very tasty and plenty of topping. Very friendly staff and will definitely be back.

Called in for quick meal on Sunday night. The restaurant was nearly empty which should have been a clue for what we had to expect. Starters of il tricolore and bruchetta were bland and tasted on very little. Our main courses, spaghetti bolognause and pizza were equally disappointing. Who grates parmesan over the dish before serving? Throughout our meal the owners daughter scootered up and down inside the small restaurant, the door was left open having asked for it be closed due to the wind which made sitting in the window cold. This was the worst meal we have experienced out in a long time and you can do so much better elsewhere.

The pizzas are quite good and the pasta, although are not wow, are quite good and tasty. Maybe a little overpriced. The staff is very friendly and attentive, also the place is good to feel comfortable. They have a fairly varied menu, for all tastes. The location is perfect to be close to the beach.

Whilst visiting Weymouth for the day on our 5day break in Dorset, my wife and I came across IL Caprese by accident. We wanted an evening meal without the need to pre book and were told we could have a table. First impression was, quite a small place probably not much choice. I was very wrong. A good choice of food on the menu to suit all tastes. I had the Tagliatelle Frutti Di Mare and it was delicious, my wife had the Chicken & Mushroom Rissotto and also thought it was delicious. If you want somewhere to eat in Weymouth, I would recommend this place every time. Well done Il Caprese. If we ever come back to Dorset, we will definitely pay you another visit.

Can't fault the food but it was obvious the staff couldn't wait to close up even though it was only 9.00pm. Server interrupted us 3 times asking if we'd if finished our starter. Felt very rushed and uncomfortable throughout our visit.

I don't believe that this is authentic Italian food, I ordered the lasagna/lasange and spaghetti bolognaise as our main dinner. The lasagna unfortunately was extremely bland and the bolognaise size was ridicoulas in fact it looked like a child's meal ! And at 14.50 per item I was expecting something alot better. Our starter didn't arrive with our main meal as this was forgotten. I can't comment on the other meals avaliable but I wouldn't recommend to any foodies as you will be very disappointed like myself.

We would highly recommend this restaurant, having had two brilliant experiences of it during our week in Weymouth. We dined at many places, but none could compete with the quality and value for money offered here.

Really poor, Service indifferent, food not seasoned and poor. I wouldn’t recommend. There is a reason why you can get table on a busy Friday night.!!

Dreadful. Arrived having booked a table for 7 people, to be sat at a table for 4. After some prompting we were moved to a more appropriately sized table. Starters arrived after a reasonably long lag — and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. 2 mains arrived, followed shortly by four more — one of which was wrong. It was changed, but took a while. Still no sign (or acknowledgment) of the missing seventh meal. Everyone finished, except the missing meal which, by now has been requested several times, and finally out of exasperation cancelled, although the did offer a takeout option! Paid the bill, which, to their credit had already had the cancelled meal removed. Left, hungry, to heating presumably the owner whinging about a whole sea bass wasted; indeed it was by your incompetent staff who couldn’t produce it, in over an hour. If you want to live thru an episode of fawlty Towers — this is the place to visit.

We booked a party of 10 on a Sunday night and was pleased they could accommodate us at such short notice. We arrived at the allotted time of 7pm and they hastily set up 2 tables of 6 and 4 next to each other. We ordered drinks and wine and were told that waiting time for food was 40 mins, this was fine as we were a large group. However, after approximately a hour we asked them to take our order, but only the starters were noted which basically was Garlic Bread and Bruschetta to share. 20 mins or so later, we then asked if they would take our main course orders which they did, we couldn't understand why these hadn't been taken earlier. The starters then appeared but there was confusion and some ended up on tables of other diners and then bought back to our tables once the mistake was realised. Mains finally arrived at 8.45pm! A couple of the dishes were served on cracked plates and promptly returned. Mains were decidedly average. All in all, perhaps in hindsight they shouldn't have taken such a large booking as although they were friendly, they seemed disorganised and under pressure. We also felt that everybody else in the Restaurant was being served first.

This was easily the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The bruschetta was burnt and seemed like warmed up supermarket garlic bread with hot tomatoes put on top. The main courses were worse. The table next to us (an Italian couple) got up and left...

Pizza OK but not special, burger and chips was average. House white wine was warm and disappointing. Nice view, staff helpful and good décor. OK for a quick meal. Purely a nod to Covid. Staff not wearing masks!

My wife is a chef manager and she thinks the food "seemed like ping food". I thought it was ok, but charging £19 for ravioli, I expect faultless. I tried to call and tell them that I had a Tastecard, but couldn't speak to a person. When we got there, having made an automated booking, I told the waitress that I had my Tastecard membership number on my phone. "No problem, we will sort it out as bogof". When the bill came however, apparently they don't recognise the membership number but the number from the app (why didn't they say that to start with?). The last thing one wants, is to argue over the payment of the bill and insist on speaking to the manager, to sort things out. I even had to argue with her.
