Prezzo - Weymouth in Weymouth and Portland

My wife is a chef manager and she thinks the food "seemed like ping food". I thought it was ok, but charging £19 for ravioli, I expect faultless. I tried to call and tell them that I had a Tastecard, but couldn't speak to a person. When we got there, having made an automated booking, I told the waitress that I had my Tastecard membership number on my phone. "No problem, we will sort it out as bogof". When the bill came however, apparently they don't recognise the membership number but the number from the app (why didn't they say that to start with?). The last thing one wants, is to argue over the payment of the bill and insist on speaking to the manager, to sort things out. I even had to argue with her.

Called in for a meal and drinks, the place was quiet, seated straight away, staff were polite and friendly, the food was great, would recommend this restaurant 👍

Food was pretty good service was pretty good. The limes in bottles are what sold me. Amazing decor. The calamari was by far the best thing we ate and some of the best calimari I've ever got my lips around. Succulent and tasty quid tenticles in crispy but soft batter

My wife and I are frequent visitors to Weymouth and Prezzo We dined yesterday evening and as usual it was top food , and top service especially from our waitress Hope

The food was very good, not too much. The prices are a bit high (for Central Europeans). The staff was very nice. The serving time was right, the drinks could have come a little earlier. The location at the harbor is chic. We were conflicted about the ambience. Personally, I found it a bit reverberant, especially due to the light floor tiles and the otherwise clear room layout.

Not delivered. Work tomorrow and had to order from elsewhere. Not happy!

Could not fault the flavour of the food. It was delicious and plenty to choose from on the menu. I had a strawberry lemonade which was the best lemonade I’ve ever had. For my main, I went for the cannelloni, but I had a feeling it wouldn’t be a huge portion size - which it wasn’t, so I ordered some truffle fries as well. I had the orange cheesecake for dessert and finished off with a mocha. We sat in the corner of the restaurant overlooking the quay which was perfect and we felt very relaxed. I thought the service was good and I had a 50% off food voucher to use which was a relief, otherwise it would have been really quite expensive.

Delivery time was fine. Meal was not. Called up to complain and they didn’t really care or offer discount. Won’t be ordering again expect better from a large chain.

Speedy service on a weekday visit, but to be fair it was a quiet night. Food hot and plentiful. No complaints. Would return.

Live locally and had a voucher for 50% off food so thought we'd give it a try even though our last visit was far from brilliant. The food was uneatable. The portoin was about half the size we had last time we went. The pasta was swimming in water and had obviously not been drained properly. There was hardly any sauce and what little there was was tasteless. We had a couple of forkfuls and decided to leave. We called the waitress over and said we were not prepared to pay for the food. She didn't seem at all surprised.

Lovely meal, service speed was really good. Clean and comfortable feel.

We went here on the Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend and were genuinely looking forward to our meal. The restaurant was extremely busy which was a surprise as we hadn't seen it like that whilst in Weymouth before. The restaurant has a perfect location right on the harbour bridge so its such s shame that place doesn't live up to its potential. From all of the restaurants that Weymouth has to offer we were so annoyed with ourselves for choosing Prezzo. The food itself was average at best, the prices even with 25% discount were way above what I would expect to pay for food and service of that quality. I will say that the host and the girl that took our order were fine but the rest of the staff left something to be desired. It doesn't help when you have an open pass in a restaurant and you see your food stood there for 10-15 minutes to be served lukewarm and you see the staff playing with their hair and messing with their face.

This is not our first terrible visit to Prezzo, but we wanted to give them a 4th chance. We had a table booked for 8pm, arrived on time & queued at the door. 8.20pm we were finally seated. 8.40pm someone took our Food/drinks order & we asked for Olives to come with our drinks. 8.50pm drinks arrived - no olives, could see them though! The restaurant was in complete chaos, the staff were standing around chatting, 3 or 4 clearing small tables, we felt totally ignored. 1 hour after our supposed 'booked' time we still had no food so made the decision to leave. We shared our thoughts with the manager, who simply replied 'ok, we are just busy'. Busy or not, some acknowledgement of the customers would have been nice, or some warning that there was a delay in seating/ordering/drinks & food! I did complain to HQ who responded with a £20 'gesture of good will' voucher. I won't be using the voucher and I will not be visiting any Prezzo restaurant in the future. Really poor customer service.

Great restaurant with really helpful positive staff

30-08-24 would give zero if i could AVOID. food was good and so was majority of service, we got seated by a young girl in blue with red hair and throughout the whole meal all we received was dirty looks and snarky comments. we all felt very uncomfortable, and as we went to pay she continued to make comments and shouting from the kitchen about how we were younger then her . unacceptable and unnecessary for her to do. i would avoid just for the reason to not ever see her again. she ruined our evening and our friends 18th birthday.i felt very upset after and ended up going home in tears because of her. i have genuinly never ever ever seen such bad customer service. (mcdonald’s is better). i work in hospitality myself and i would never dare to say the things she said to us. you are always meant to try and help the customers. we were nothing but kind understanding and respectful to the staff. BUT AVOID THE RED HAIRED GIRL AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DONT WANT A UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE. she was so so mean to us. i feel like she was being agist towards us as well as homophobic/transphobic as one of my friends are trans and we weren’t sure if it was anything to do with that. be kind to people around you.

I had booked online and my booking appeared to be lost. The staff were super unhelpful and in normal circumstances I would have left and gone somewhere else, however I was with my disabled son and we visit every year so he wanted to stay. We went back to our apartment and booked online (30 mins after our original lost booking time) when we went back the staff member told us that they were busy and did not have a table as we had “cheated the system” by booking online to an available table. I spoke to another staff member who tried to help. I then watched a battle between the staff members as one wanted to help and the other wanted us to wait longer as we had “tried to cheat the system”. All in all really stressful particularly as they had tables but one staff member didn’t want to let us have it. We had to wait 30 mins after our online booking time to get a table. My son got his dinner but we won’t be back anytime soon!

Waited 2 1/2 hours for cold food, had to feed the kids before it arrived as was getting really late and they still needed to eat so a huge waste. Rang the restaurant multiple times and no answer. Also the portion sizes for the cost is absolutely diabolical.

Had a rather weird time here, food outstanding but our meal took over 3 hours as it seemed our mains were forgotten in the kitchen combined with it being busy, manager was really great about it though and resolved the situation.

Probably the most chaotic meal I have ever had in my life. The drinks came at the same time as the mains and the starters came after. The entire atmosphere is chaotic and waiting staff don't appear to have designated areas so are just running around like headless chickens avoiding eye contact with you.

Food was poorly packed, this had leaked everywhere before it arrived. The food was all cold. Chicken burger was just a soggy mess.

the driver went above and beyond to bring my food to me when he couldn't come on to the holiday park. I'd like to thank him for his hard work.

We pre booked a table, but from the minute we walked in the restaurant there seemed to be no real focus on customer service as we waited to be seated for quite a while as the staff failed to acknowledge we were there. Once seated things didn't improve with a half hour wait before anyone took an order, then our food came out before our drinks and we had to call a waiter back to get cutlery before we could eat. The restaurant just seemed really unorganized and the staff seemed disinterested and appeared to do the bear minimum. We had to request things a couple of times before they actually turned up. The saving grace of our visit was that the food was actually really nice but not enough to really recommend going here.

Prezzo Italian restaurant Weymouth is a very nice Italian restaurant serving traditional Italian food, there service was brilliant, quick and professional. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family even though we had not booked (which I recommend even though they will bend over backwards to try and fit you in. The food comes out super fast, they have an perfectly adequate bar with all the normal drinks (alcoholic and soft). The restaurant is straight off the front so the lower restaurant is good for anyone with mobility problems . It is on the front so can get a little noisy at the front, and being on the front no parking.

Everything is slow, disorganized. This place is not ready for busy hours even though the restaurant is located in beach side where is easily guessed as crowded area in the summer season.

This restaurant is by far one of my favourites in Weymouth and is the best Italian here too! One of the lovely staff members called Ella is a role model to this amazing place! She is kind, caring, makes you smile and was excellent with my autisic sister which is not what I see happen in many other restaurants. Ella should be proud of herself because I am a very happy customer and I give my credit to the rest of the amazing team working here too! I will definitely return :)

Ordered via Deliveroo and paid for priority delivery. Driver arrived at restaurant but food was not ready. Restaurant was not very busy. 2.5 hrs later food arrived. Food was undercooked, inedible and just terrible . I spoke to the manager who was rude, unhelpful and did not even apologise. Another member of staff was much nicer and offered free desserts. How can you forget garlic on garlic bread!!!!

Appalling service, went into restaurant this evening ( Friday ) to book a table for Sunday afternoon and waited 10 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us and was then informed she didn't know how to access the booking system and I would have to wait until another staff member was available , then waiting 5 more minutes and nothing . Obviously we then left and with no intentions of ever returning, which is a shame because we have visited here numerous times over the years .

Always a pleasant meal, but mid week and mid day lack of covers. There again our group of 6 made it a very chatty meal.

Wonderful lunch on a beautiful sunny day celebrating a birthday. We were greeted by a very friendly and efficient waitress who found us a table with a great view overlooking the quayside and the lifting bridge. She was very kind and helpful when we ordered our drinks and food. We ordered 4 main courses, two of the Gorgonzola beef burgers with truffle fries, one sea bass with gnocchi, and a vast calzone tré carne, all of which arrived promptly and everyone was totally delicious. Nothing could be faulted, everything absolutely perfect. We’ll be back very soon

Good service, really nice food 👍

The food was ok however service very poor. Rushed to order, then ordered second round of drinks. After 10 minutes of the drinks did not arrive. I ask if there were coming. Told yes they are on their way, well stated and finished our meals and still no drinks. Really poor service. With all the good places to eat in Weymouth we will not be returning.

Unfortunately I can't publish a photo, but the food is not only a pleasure for the palate but also for the eye. The 'Spinach Creste di Gallo with burrata' and 'Sea Bass with Gnocchi in saffron butter lobster' were simply great!

Prezzo is a decent option for a casual Italian meal, but it won't blow you away. The food is alright, the restaurant itself is fine, and the ambiance is just okay. It's a bit pricier than I expected, especially considering the automatic service charge added to the bill. If you're looking for a sure thing and can't snag a reservation elsewhere, Prezzo will do in a pinch.

Took a while to be acknowledged and seated

In a lovely location opposite the harbour. The food was very good and the service was really good. We would definitely recommend it.

staff are always wonderful and welcoming, food is always incredible, and service is usually reasonably quick! the menu also changes seasonally and every dish I try is amazing!

i came with a friend to have a nice evening but unfortunately i had a bad surprise as we had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated, all the staff noticed us yet continued to ignore our presence, when we were finally seated we had to wait over 25 minutes for our drinks. We felt as though we were ignored for ages before someone took our order. The starters came 30 minutes after our drinks, and then we had to wait another 40 minutes until our mains which arrived luke warm, by this point we didn’t want to complain because we were so hungry. Once we had finished our food we went to the bar to pay, where we waited another 15 minutes for any staff member to acknowledge us, Carlos came and spoke to us and apologised, although it didn’t feel genuine, and made excuses for his staff saying they were short staffed, where we could quite clearly see they were not bothered that we were waiting. In all honesty it felt as though the manager/staff couldn’t manage the restaurant, and kept accepting people when they were already fully booked.

Delivery time kept getting pushed back, understand that it might be busy but order didn't arrive until 1.5 hr after ordering and pizzas tasted like they had been left out that long too. They were barely warm and dough was tough. One of the pizzas toppings were slid all to one side. Really bad quality for the amount of money it cost.

Great food confused staff very noisy.

We probably ordered the wrong thing. We had the chicken, a wedge of cabbage with an over cooked hassle back potato. I had set my mind on a pasta dish which I’m sure would have been more to my liking. The beer was good and the fried mozzarella stater was ok. The staff are very nice & could not fault them in their service. Sadly we should have ordered pasta or pizza. They looked really nice.

£15 for a Caesar Salad that was just lettuce and chicken and only the size of a side salad, no Parmesan, no dressing and definitely not a main meal. Definitely won’t be ordered from here again

Absolutely FUMING. Ordered through ‘just eat ‘ from this restaurant, and the calamari turned up with no dip. This is pure sacrilege! Italians are turning in their graves as I write this. (Restaurant also didn’t give the delivery driver a bag, so I had to juggle the 4 items all the way to my kitchen like a circus performer. ) Garlic bread also bang average. Pasta wasn’t bad hence the 3 stars. Prezzo, you owe me a dip! I’ll be in tomorrow to collect. 🤌

Prices have shot up and too be honest it's not worth the money.

We ordered a vegan chicken pizza and were sent a real chicken pizza with dairy cheese, not only do we not eat meat but have 2 dairy allergy sufferers in the household!! Tried calling the restaurant several times and no answer!!

Ordered a King Prawn spaghetti. It arrived on time and was hot, however a huge issue, there were no prawns in the dish. Not sure how a chef can prepare a dish without the main ingredient. Reported through app and called restaurant. Hopefully another dish is being prepared and sent out.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza on its own so their wasn't much on the order so it was pretty easy for Prezzo and just eat to deliver but yet I get a stone cold pizza like so cold when I tried warming it it went so hard and then the cheese wouldn't melt so then I had to grill it by the end of it I was making my self dinner just after spending £30 through just eat on 2 bad orders and then get told they won't refund me

Good service and good food/drink. Quite pricey for a pizza/pasta dinner. Decided to book for an early dinner but really didn’t need to as it was fairly empty when we arrived. They did move some tables around for large parties arriving after we’d departed.

We had a problem with the bill on our last visit so had a discount voucher. The lovely lady who sorted out the last problem remembered us and Carlos the Manager was also very helpful. The food was really good and we love this place so will definitely be going back. Sorry I can’t remember the lady’s name but she had blonde hair in a ponytail and I remember her saying she was from Poland. She was also great with other people there. Give this woman a pay rise!

Food didn’t contain all the items advertised for the meal. Could see delivery driver was waiting over 40 mins at restaurant for our order. After accept the order, manager tried to force driver to cancel the order. Not acceptable behaviour by the manager of restaurant in my opinion. Mediocre, unsatisfactory food, late sadly, no fault of driver. As a local will not support this restaurant due to manager behaviour and food nowhere near standard.

Some birthday meal this turned out to be. I have never had such a bad, aggressive, argumentative, condescending waiter in my life. A Tuesday morning in March was never going to be really busy, even so, I made all of our requirements clear in the online booking form. I informed them I use an electric wheelchair and requested one of the large tables overlooking the harbour. With 6 in our party in my sense too, it would mean I could get my wheelchair out of any gangway. I also informed them I am severely allergic to nuts. On arrival it became clear all 4 of the tables had been given away. (All people agreed they had not booked but were offered the table on arrival) We were then given the option of 2 inferior tables. Having chosen the lessor of two evils and eventually got my wheelchair into this horrible rectangular table blocked in a corner, we started to look at the drinks menu. One reason we had decided to come to Prezzo was so the three couples would pay separately. Our usual restaurant brings us one large bill that has often led to much confusion to split as our group contains non drinkers etc. He then proceeded to tell us we couldn't so we said we'd sit at 3 separate tables as there were 2 right next to us empty, if he really believed that semantics would solve his problem. His increasingly aggressive attitude was not pleasant on my birthday of all times. This attitude continued throughout the whole meal. The meal was awful. Three of us had the ' coated, deep fried mozzarella', Well we're all fairly sure they were from Iceland and if they weren't then their quality was no better than if they had been!! Things got no better from this point on. All the food was basic and over priced. The wine was completely overpriced and not served correctly. Needless to say, all 6 of us have no intention of revisiting this horrible place and we highly recommend no one else does. There are lots of fabulous restaurants in Weymouth, this is not one of them.

Even on a busy Saturday night, the service was great, my table of 15 were very happy with everything. The staff were brilliant, very understanding and accommodating to our needs. The food was delicious, the menu had plenty to choose from, we’ll definitely be back! Thanks for a great evening!

So Me and the Mrs popped in for a reservation as we are currently staying in Weymouth, wasn't very busy at all and the atmosphere was decent but basing our experience as a whole is the reason for 3 stars... We went ahead and ordered drinks which I was shocked by when I looked at the bill and saw that 300ml came to £4.20! On the website it states that it's typically between £30-£40 for a meal. The starter (which made us ferrocisly ill the next day) and two mains with two drinks to came to £75 which is just ridiculous. If you're posh and you've got loads of money then go ahead if you are a regular old joe then I would say to avoid at all costs. Food really was not worth £17 per meal... Safe to say we were very disappointed.

We came here for a business meal today and everything was amazing. Our waitress Marzena was really accommodating and made us fell at home.

Just Eat - I always write a message asking you to call on arrival as I can't hear the bell or banging. Only very rarely do any of the delivery drivers actually READ it. Excellent food, as always, feom Prezzzo.

Quiet lunchtime in March. Had Chicken, bacon and avocado salad and Sea bass. Good service.

DIsappointing, PIZZA magaretta was like rubber with minimal topping. Salad was lovely. Would not normally use this chain and luckily had tesco vouchers to soften the blow.

Went as a family group of 12 to celebrate a birthday. Waitress was very friendly but we found the delays between courses exceptionally long especially when we had small children getting bored. Children's meal did not include a drink (£2 for a fruit shoot) and drinks generally were expensive. The food when it did come was very good. Will not be rushing back soon.

Food was OK. Waitress was pleasant but we felt rushed. It wasn't only us, staff were coming to tables, including ours before were had finished our starters saying that our mains were ready, we were still eating. We were asked did we want our mains brought our while we were still eating our starters.Staff were embarrassed but I feel that they had been told to rush costumers. Not a good experience tonight, we have always enjoyed Prezzo before

Very small portion for the price ,and very basic

Went yesterday with a friend. We had a voucher for 2 for 1 main courses, so our mains cost about £8 each. There quite good. We ordered a glass of prosecco each. The glass was barely half full . When the bill came, it was £ 8 a glass, so basically £16 for a 125ml glass. We should have complained at the time but were too busy talking.

Despite being busy and understaffed, the whole team were amazing! Thankyou Shannon who looked after us, the young man whizzing around, the girl with two shades of hair and the manager! You clearly pulled together this evening as a team and we enjoyed our meal!

Lovely welcome from friendly staff. These guys were attentive and warm really made us feel welcome. We were served promptly. The good all came out hot well presented and tssty. The hummus and flatbread were the nicest we have had. They then were kind enough to bring out our daughters birthday cake and sing happy birthday with us. They provided plates napkins and cutlery for our cake. The lady that took the payment handled out tesco vouchers efficiently and with out any fuss. Some places will be less friendly when you attempt to use them. Thankyou all for an enjoyable evening and exceptional service.xxx

Food was cold and not very nice - would have been lovely when it was hot. Not very enjoyable and definitely not worth the price. Have never had a pizza arrive that wasn’t cut into pieces? Won’t order again

The guy who served was probably one of the best waiters we have ever been served by so efficient so pleasant lovely nature if he hadnt have been working would have asked him to join us for a glass at least, the food was fabulous I had crab and lobster ravioli in a lobster bisque sauce hubby had calamari and bloody loved it we will definately be back so good thank you x

Children's burger and chips came with no chips, dips were about 4 teaspoons worth. Children's pizzas were a strip cut from a bigger pizza. Food was nice but a blatent rip off.

Excellent waiter. Professional, friendly and not over intrusive. Food a little overpriced but very good. Extremely quiet as we were the only diners.

4 people for lunch, mains and a nice bottle of wine, other drinks and coffee, £175 inc service. I was very pleased with the gluten free pasta option, very nice indeed. Our waitress was very good, lovely girl and very helpful. The other 3 all enjoyed the food. Nice views, plenty of space, a little quiet when we were there. Good experience

Unfortunately the pizza didn't seem to fit in the 'stay hot' bag and was cold when delivered.

Ordered food at 17:30. Nothing had arrived by 19:00. Ended up driving to pick up food myself. Food was cold on account of being sat waiting. Shocking service from Just Eat and poor attitude of restaurant. Will not be using both ever again and will be expecting a refund.
