This is definitely one of the best Pizzas in London!! You need to visit this restaurant in Stoke Newington! They have tables inside and outside and they do delivery. They serve main dishes, pizzas, dessert and Sardinian food... Proper Sardinian Food!

The food here is excellent. We have been going there for over 15 years. It is simple and well cooked. The pizzas are delicious covered in good quality cheese and accompanied by big fresh salads. We love the radicchio, crispy lettuce , the fennel and the sweet tomatoes.
The wine list is small but we would recommend the only Sardinian wine there ,Cannonau which supplelements the chewy and slightly burned flavour of the pizza dough.
The accommodation is simple and no nonsense: wooden varnished tables and wierd modern art pictures on the walls. The service is always good.

We were a huge, noisy, slow party of 13 getting together for a pre-wedding meal for the families to meet from overseas which meant a lot of talking instead of ordering, a lot of hugging, and a lot of food to be ordered. The staff were so wonderful to us. They were friendly, helpful and incredibly patient. I didn't realise how fantastically it would be decorated but we loved it. Just enough kitsch and such a fun atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious from all accounts. My lobster spaghetti was great. Thank you for looking after us so well!

I went to Il Bacio with a group of friends, the reason we chose it was because it offered also gluten free options, the prices seemed reasonable and the food choice quite wide.
The service was good, the waitress was attentive and kind; the pizza was a very good Italian pizza, quite big and amazing price for it and the gluten free pizza was good as well. One of my friends had a ravioli first course and was pleased with it. I will go back again and I would recommend it!

My partner and I used to eat at this local restaurant almost every week...using Tastecard. The food was ok but the staff were never friendly. We often visited with family as they do a great set menu for children.....but the fuss over using more than one Tastecard last year was so embarrassing we stopped going there for a while. We booked a table for 9 a few weeks ago. ... on a Saturday so no Tastecard. We were put at the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen. It was so hot we were all perspiring. Service was awful. We were regulars and the staff just shrugged when I asked to move....we would have waited for tables to become free. But no. They were happy to accommodate other walk in clients. I wish we had left but we had 3 hungry children with us. Pizza bread was good. My calazone pizza with extra onion (add £1.50) had very little filling. I will never go there again. After eating there for 8 years and walking past the restaurant most days I guess this review bars me anyway!!Try the new place on the High Street called Apollo

Despite the mixed reviews we ate here after a couple of very good pints of Guinness at Shillelaghs irish pub. We had a range of starters with chicken livers and a plate of lamb chops. The Sardinian lager was good and the house white was fine. Atmosphere was cosy and service good. In respect of the pizza bashing on show here, I have to say the pizza delivery guy was kept extremely busy so guess the quality is appreciated locally.

We went to Il Bacio with our two children and really enjoyed the food, which is good, old fashioned Italian.
A great child menu was on offer, which accustoms small children to the full, delicious Italian food regime incl. salad starter and babychino - at brilliant price. We went for a quick pizza on NYE before going on somewhere else & I'm so glad it was just that rather than having chosen it as the main focus of the evening. The service was very unfriendly, unwelcoming and drab, no smiles no pleasantries etc. despite us being smiley and pleasant towards them. Maybe working on New Year's Eve was making them so miserable, but from the customers point of view it didn't give a nice feel to the night, luckily we were quickly in and out. The service was very quick, which can be ok but it did feel rushed. We were in and out in less than 30 mins, I noticed the owner/manager tapping on the window from outside to one of the waitresses telling her to clear our plates. Just felt like we weren't wanted there at all. Pizza was ok.

Great value, the pizza was huge and so tasty.

Definitely going there again, i'd give it a 100% positive review except for one thing, our main waitress said 'are you ready to order' about 2 minutes after i'd had the menu, hadn't even finished looking through it, now i understand if she reads this she might think well you took ages to read it but i generally don't think she gave me enough time which made me feel quite pressured. She was also stood at the bar at one point, leaning on it with her head in her hand looking very miserable. I understand that waiters and waitresses can have a stressful time even though the restaurant didn't seem too manic, I've been working in bars for years and even when i have a bad day i can still put on a smile and make the customer feel at home so that was a shame, as i said would have been 100% if it wasn't for her.

I don't understand why they don't make better pizzas. Nice places with nice staff but the pizzas are so bland. You could do a lot worse but really don't expect much in the flavour department. They have a virtual monopoly in the area - maybe that's why?

I chose Il Bacio as the venue for my birthday meal last Friday. The food was OK, pretty enjoyable actually although I really think that the service, which is a big factor in choosing to eat at a restaurant, really wasn't up to scratch, it was unfriendly, unwelcoming and really not that inspiring. The food here never disappoints. We were a table of 4 and ordered pizzas, pastas & deserts and were delighted with the food. The service on the otherhand is a bit sloppy and unfriendly. Our food was practically thrown down on to the table without the waitress actually asking who had ordered what! It wouldn't have mattered had she got it right but found ourselves swapping plates over to their starving owners. A bit of paitence from the staff wouldn't have gone a miss and just more attention to detail.

This is a great little Italian which is of the same family as the one in Blackstock Road which I've not had the pleasure of visiting. This was about my fourth visit here and it proved good as ever. The food's authentic Italian, great pizzas, pastas and more exotic daily specials like wild boar, rabbit, lobster etc. My tagliatelle with meatballs was delicious as was my friend's pizza mariniere. The deserts are also good and I can recommend the torta del none.Incidentially they accept Tastecard on Sunday to Thursday which meant we had a great saving with two for one on all courses.Service was excellent with both the male and femail staff member who attended to us.Outdoor seating is minimal as it's on a main road.

We moved from Stokey last year, and we really miss the Bacio restaurants. There are three on Church street. We prefer the one closest to the high street. We loved the pasta dishes there, and the pizzas were also fantastic. The service is great. The other Italian Bacio (more towards the graveyard) is lovely too, but gets quite full and noisy. I am quite fussy when it comes to food. Nothing annoys me more that paying a lot of money for badly prepared food, or sitting in a dirty restaurant. This place is definitely the best Italian I have been to outside Italy. It really is super. Also, given London rices it is extremely reasonable for the quality of food offered.

Il Bacio and Bacio Express make good pizza. It's not amazing, but it's the closest to real Italian pizza in this area. They tend to go over the top with crazy combinations of toppings, very unusual, as pizza is best when kept simple. Still good though.Strangely they lack most of the basic traditional italian pizzas (meaning toppings). I don't understand why, as in Sardinia's Pizzerias they do all the classics, like the rest of Italy.I'm not even sure it's cooked in a wood fire. They both do home delivery (I prefer Il Bacio), and often prefer doing that, as the restaurants get loud and noisy sometimes.
