Food was nice, in my opinion overpriced for what it was. Obnoxiously loud in there. Lady's toilet is falling to pieces and the tap doesn't work. Waitress tried to take my drink away whilst I was still drinking it and then started wiping the tables down for the next customer whilst we are still eating. There wasn't even anything on there they just wanted us gone!

Lovely meal & great service as usual

Food, service and staff were 1st class. Only downfall was we had 1 coffee and 1 fresh mint tea which cost £11 that included the service charge. Really it was a cup of boiling water and a few mint leaves. Seems a bit expensive but the food and service was great.

The mistake we made was going on a Saturday, the place was rammed and wasn't the best experience, our meal was over £300, and felt pressured to finish our food so they could get more customers in, we had been there for just an hour and a half when we were asked to leave as another booking was due to arrive, we met up with friends and family who we hadn't seen for a while, the social side of having a meal together wasn't something we could enjoy and the evening was cut short which was a pity... not sure we will be visiting again..

Great food, great people and a great atmosphere. A little loud so don’t come on a first date. Love coming back here, always as good as the time before.

Got a takeaway form ibos today, and have been there so many times before. Amazing food and drinks as usual, big portions made with lots of love and amazing service. Much recommended. 😍😍😍😍😍 Honestly one of the best places I have ever been to. Just everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic and the drinks are also fabulous! A 100/10 review. Reccomend for everyone with friends and family or even by yourself. The service is outstanding and everyone is so welcoming, kind and sweet! Love it! 😍😍😍

Friendly and helpful staff good selection of food and drink

Both times I’ve been here have been brilliant. Their cockataiks are lovely and lots of choice. The food has so much flavour! And the customer service is 10/10. They went the extra mile to even give me extra if my favourite side salad ingredients!

This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant! We have been three times this month already and will be back before the end of the month! Every time we come, the food is perfect and the service is outstanding. Would (and frequently do) recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Xmas meal and delicious food and drinks🤍

I definitely wouldn't return again. The food portions were good, but the halloumi dish I had was absolutely soaked in oil. The resturant was also very loud so you can hardly hear each other, and the way they try to cram everyone into the restaurant is like you are sitting on everyone's lap. The worst thing was the attitude of the manager which was absolutely shocking. 4 people ended up dropping out of our booking last minute and we were only told on the way, but when we arrived we were moaned at for not letting them know, even though I had explained it was last minute. As we had a large booking we also had to do £10 deposit each when making the reservation and was told it will be taken off final bill at the end. We were then told by management when we asked for the bill that the full deposit money won't be taken off because of the people dropping out last minute and we should have told them, they said it was their policy. Nothing in writing to prove this, they could not show us the policy and also not on their website so after discussing for a long time with the manager, she finally returned the full deposit money. Would definitely not reccomend.

I have recently been to this restaurant with my friends. I must say that the food is very good,the staff are friendly and welcoming. The reason I give 3 stars for the service is that when we were enjoying ourselves the most,the team leader asked us to leave because they only allowed 2 hours maximum. I travelled to Hitchin for 2 hours( I used to live in Hitchin, now I am in Lincolnshire)to meet my girlfriends, and it is once in a year that we all meet up. So we were all disappointed. I am really sorry that our evening was spoiled.

If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience, this place may not be your best bet. I visited IBO’s last Saturday with three friends, and while we had high hopes for the evening, we quickly realized that not all dining experiences are created equal. First, let me set the scene. The venue itself is small, and I mean small. When we arrived, it was so busy that we could barely squeeze through the narrow passage between the bar and a nearby sofa to get to our table. Once we were seated, we quickly realized that “cozy” was a bit of an understatement. The tables were packed so closely together that when I reached into my pocket to grab my phone, I somehow elbowed the guy behind me right in the ribs. Oops. I started with the spicy meatballs, which were certainly spicy —though nothing that left me raving about them. For my main, I went with the chicken shish. It was cooked well enough, but honestly, I’ve had better pub meals in terms of flavor and presentation. The wait for the main course was a bit of a letdown. While the starter came out promptly, we were left twiddling our thumbs for far too long before the mains showed up. By the time the food finally arrived, I was hungry enough to forgive some of the delays—but still, it wasn’t exactly the dining experience we’d imagined. But here’s where things really took a turn. The so-called "live" music was, in a word, deafening. Now, I’m all for a bit of atmosphere, but when the volume is so high that holding a conversation is basically impossible, it crosses a line. It wasn't just loud—it was painful. Two days later as I write this, my ears are still ringing and I have earache. So, was the nearly £200 bill for four of us worth it? Unfortunately, no. While I don’t mind paying for good food and a fun atmosphere, this experience left a lot to be desired. The cramped space, long wait for mains, and ear-piercing music definitely didn’t justify the hefty price tag. If you're in the area and looking for a lively (and I mean loud) night out, it might be worth a shot—but if you value your eardrums and a little breathing room, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Party of 11 attended last night for a Xmas party. Excellent atmosphere with live music. Service was excellent throughout the evening even though they were very busy. All staff friendly and helpful. Great food from an extensive menu. We had a brilliant evening. Thank you to all the team.

Went for a birthday dinner specifically for the lobster on the menu only to be told they didn’t have it - the way we were told it gave the impression they never have it it’s mor of a marketing strategy as once your sat and have drinks you’ll just order something else. Drinks (cocktails) were fantastic but service was abit slow considering they were well staffed but seemed as thought this was just because it was a busy night for them Food was okay abit over priced for the quality in our opinion and fish was overcooked Staff were nice except one member that came across patronising and fed up with her delivery towards us We paid bill but didn’t feel obligated to tip due to this experience wouldn’t recommend it and likely we wouldn’t return unfortunately

Food was good for lunch set menu. Service was was slow considering we was only two in there. Was surprised when received the bill had changed us for having some extra chilly sauce and mayo £3 never been charged at any other restaurant,

Failed to deliver food, patronizing and rude response when asked why it has been rearranged 6 times. Will not be going here again unfortunately.

Went for lunch today, food was excellent and the lunch menu is very good value for money. Staff were all amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, probably helped by the fact it was nice weather and the front was open to the outside. Would definitely recommend!

Wouldn't detur me from coming back was nice. Please work on manners if your greeting waitress she was excellent attentive.

Beware of the Water Trick I was quite disappointed with the cunning water service here. They poured only half a glass from the bottle, then took it away from our table, presumably to pour for someone else. The bottle was nowhere to be seen, but I was still charged for a full bottle of water. This left a sour taste in my mouth, and not just from the overpriced water!

Really vibrant place and quite lively. Really enjoyed the food. The cold starter for two will feed 4 easily. Lamb chops were a little overdone for everything else was perfect.

Had the most amazing experience at ibo’s bar & restaurant tonight my friends birthday was yesterday So we wanted to go somewhere for some late celebrations. We tried somewhere different not too far this place was amazing service was outstanding & food was amazing.the manager was a so helpful with our booking. We will see you again soon

Came here recently for a friend’s birthday. Meal was great, really big portions and tasty. My only negative with the food was the feta was quite bland and I had to put a lot of salt & pepper on it (most likely my personal taste) & the rice was a bit different to Turkish rice I’ve had before, but was still nice. I also would have loved if the music was traditional Turkish music, it was great too hear classic songs I know, but I think it would have just been that extra special something if I heard traditional music. I got the chicken shish for my main and it was super tasty and fresh. I also had a raspberry mocktail and it tasted very nice! Also good value for money. Would definitely return!

This place is just like any other Turkish restaurant, the only point of difference is the extremely expensive price tag that comes with it, kids chicken nuggets and chips is £10, that's with no drink/dessert, most dishes are £20+, way too expensive!!!....and you can walk across the square and eat elsewhere for a lot less, the cocktail menu is great, that's about it!!!

My work colleagues and I went to Ibos in Hitchin on Friday evening and we all had a fabulous time. It is very hard to fault anything as the drinks were excellent (the cocktails were a master piece) the staff were excellent, great warm atmosphere and the food was excellent. My main course, Shrimp Casseole with extra spice was very tasty indeed. Well worth a visit at any time during the day. I am already looking forward to going back soon. Thanks IBOS.

Excellent Food in a very nice restaurant. Very Friendly and efficient waitress. Only one small downside. A glass of Malbec Wine at £9.50 is a bit over the top.

Amazing food, we had the veg moussaka with chips, and mixed grill and the food was lovely! All well cooked and hot when served. Complimentary bread and dips was also a nice touch. Our host Natalie was attentive and provided excellent customer service

We went here for the lunch menu, the service was brilliant as the staff was very helpful and served with a smile, the portions was a very good size and the price was very reasonable for the level of quality, very flavourful and cooked to a very high standard, the restaurant it’s self is a high class interior and a very comfortable and welcoming feel, I would most definitely eat here again and would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who visits or lives in the local area 5 star from us

My friend and I went there for dinner last night. It’s a striking looking place. The bar looks like a cocktail bar and the decor is like onyx making it feel expensive. We had a reservation (they were very busy) and the manager greeted us and was very welcoming. She made good recommendations for what to have and talked us through the menu. We shared bread and humous. The bread was incredible. I don’t know what flavouring they put on it but it was addictive. I wanted more and more. For a main I had the chicken kebab and my friend had the lamb. Mine was massive. Huge. I had no chance of finishing it so he helped out. His was more of a normal portion size. The food was excellent. Couldn’t fault it. The rice soft and fluffy and the chicken was cooked to perfection. They had live music on, he was decent and gave the place a bit of a lift / buzz. This place is great for groups. Not so sure I’d go for a first date though. But two lads having a meal out on a Saturday night it was perfect. Really liked it. Would go again.

Food is brilliant which is a shame because the service isn't. Been twice, second time was to see if it was a one off, but sadly no. If you ask any questions you get blatant eye rolling, everything seems like a problem, even trying to order a drink 10 minutes after being seated. Was a uncomfortable atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Will not be back.
