Height of bad manners for the table to be cleared while someone was still eating. How basic is that in your training?

Lovely ambience and friendly staff. Small fish and chips was absolutely massive but very tasty. My wife's beef and ale pie with seasonal veg and chunky chips also huge but very tasty! Shame we couldn't eat it all. An excellent place for midweek lunch, and obviously to the taste of lots of other diners.
