Fantastic very good service. Clean the tables for you straight away and all the staff are nice and they respect their costumers that come into the shop and the crepes waffles bubble waffles are all freshly cooked for you aswel absolutely fantastic

I had the cookie dough crepe and I was honestly disappointed. It did not live up to my expectations, the crepe was basically a crisp and the cookie dough wasn’t even cookie dough it was a rock hard cookie. Also my pepsi tasted like sparkling water.

This place is a cracking dessert parlour, 30 minute drive for us to get to but we'll worth it, the choice and quality won't be beaten. We sat in as a family and all enjoyed so much.. all had the crepe with 2 scoops of ice cream, Nutella, Ferrero rocher strawberries etc. Joseph who served us was a nice chatty chap. Well done guys as my kids were happy

Every Birthday and Christmas we go to SubZero to get family treats. The selection is ever changing with more and more delicious flavours being made. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Elliot who helped us make some fantastic choices. As always it is a pleasure to visit and take home some of the finest Ice Cream and Sorbet’s known to man.

Amazing choice of ice cream!! Flavours are to die for!! 😋😋😋 In door and out door sitting available if you haven’t been before. Parking can be tricky on sunny days - recommend a Sunday as the business parts are closed so less cars around

Honestly, I have never seen so many ice cream choices. We went with one of their waffle options, as honestly the amount of choice was overwhelming! The dessert was stunning! Real ferrero rochers, the ice cream was so creamy, the waffles were delicious. I also loved the added “crunch” texture with the wafers. Also, the price was reasonable too because I paid £13 for two desserts. Honestly, if you haven’t tried this place yet, you must!!

The best ice cream ever We have just visited to pick up our Christmas ice cream. Sub Zero never fails. They have a huge selection of delicious ice cream cakes and desserts as well as an amazing range of flavours. No wonder it’s our favourite ice cream any time of year

I ordered an ice cream cake from Subzero and whilst I knew it would be good I had no idea how good! The cakes are absolutely huge, you get 16 scoops of your choice on the top and it is decorated with soft-serve ice cream, raspberry ripple ice cream, just more ice cream than I ever expected! Fantastic value for money and will definitely be buying one again!

Ice cream is fantastic, flavours are brilliant. The only 2 issues are making a choice about what flavour to have and the lack of seating inside.

Always come here for special occasions and treats. Great service and fantastic ice-cream. Highly recommended.

Visited the caerphilly store many times and can honestly say the best icecream ever!! So creamy and delicious, nothing can beat it!

I usually love this place bit having waited 30 minutes to move 3 spaces in a 9 person queue I wont be going back anytime soon. 6 people serving 1 customer at a time with 1 person in red overalls sole job to shout aggresively at people to stand behind the yellow sign. If the people in front order anything that needs to be cooked you have to wait until the full order is complete before your order is taken. I dont care how nice the ice cream is, waiting over an hour for a 2 scoop tub isnt worth it. Can i suggest a fast and slow lane, the fast lane for cones and tubs and the slow lane for cooked products. Serving 1 customer every 10 minutes isnt good for you as a business or for customers. I understand these are challenging times and I am happy to queue but the general slowness of everything has put me off going back again. Thats £20 I will be spending somewhere else.

If you really like ice cream then this establishment is a definite must. The selection of flavours is overwhelming and very hard to choose. If you decide to meat in then there are only a limited umber of seats available though if the weather is good there are excellent tables and chairs outside.

The best place for ice cream in the whole of Wales. It is a local attraction here a Must visit. The varieties of ice cream is amazing but now have desserts etc waffles and pancakes and milkshakes. Have taken my American friends and relatives here and they found it amazing. The ice cream is wonderful

Took the great grand children to subzero during the school holidays. What a little treasure the Rhondda people have on their doorstep. Such a variety of treats and so so clean. Outstanding service and happy smiling helpful staff. I espied a georgeous ICECREAM Birthday cake and am ordering it today for my 5 year olds party on Friday. just hope it doesn’t melt by the time I get it to Gower!!

I will have to visit 20 times before I start to make a dent in the list of things I wanted to try. Went for the cookie dough waffle to kick things off as it covered a lot of bases. Waffle. check. Cookie dough. check. Two scoops from the many choices of ice cream was great although I did feel like I had to make them work with the desert. Raspberry ripple and fudge crunch were my choices. Overall it was nice, wouldn't say it was better than your Kaspers, Treatz etc. but the sheer volume of choices would keep me coming back. My mum had the Black Forest sundae which came in a cute chocolate made cup. Step-dad went with two scoops of rum and raisin - you can't change some people.

Visited with my daughter. We both had white chocolate and raspberry, I had waffles and she had a crepe. We were lucky enough to be served quickly and we had a table too. The portions were huge, lots of fresh raspberries and two scoops of ice cream. The general cleanliness could do with being looked at, particularly the floors and the toilet area. Apart from that it was a lovely experience and we will be back with the rest of the family!

Had one in Porthcawl today staff dancing and bread cut on counter well had had a waffle meal and totally shocking never again there kids working there and ripping customer off with the waffle and crepe deal Tonypandy is a bit better

Popped in with my teenage daughter today. Very friendly staff, choice immense, and not as expensive as I thought. The chocolate crepe was gorgeous and was really enough for two. Something for everyone. Will definitely be back.

Popped in couple of times during June and July, one weekend there was queues all over the place, finally got served after being told to get in the third queue. The time after much more orderly on a weekday, was packed but 1 queue instead of 3 different places. Dont mind waiting when made fresh, icecream lovely.

We come to this place 3-5 times a year. We live the flavours you offer and quality of ice cream. On our last visit we have noticed that none of the staff would change gloves after serving previous customer. There would be nothing wrong about it if they wouldn’t give change and take card payments while wearing the same gloves. I think that owner of this fantastic place should definitely look into it and either get one person on the line who will only take payments or make sure everybody change gloves after every single customer.

A breath-taking range of flavours, with multiple choices of presentation. More than enough to get you to go back and sample others. I don’t think I would like to take a family of 4 there too often as it can work out quite expensive, even if the products are so scrummy.

Really tasty ice cream. Well presented specials. Not over the top on cream like other parlours tend to be. Can't believe I didn't know about the place until now. Could have done with a hot drink to accompany my order but they only sell cold drinks. Will be back... Soon.

My gf and I dropped in to Sub-Zero on a Sunday afternoon. Joanne had the Maple Syrup crepe and I had banana & peanut butter sundae. Both were superb. Can't wait for our next visit :)

Me and my partner have gone here quite regularly after discovering there was one within 20 minutes away. Great customer service received every time. Haven't been able to sit in but we quite enjoy sitting and eating it in the car outside. Very easy parking here. Also love the to go tubs as well if you don't fancy eating it there. Not allot of places do bubble-gum ice cream so its brilliant that now I can get a tub and take it home.

Forget Joe’s or even Ben & Jerry’s Sub Zero is awesome! We arrived about 8pm and waited in the packed que for at least 45mins but it was so worth it! Only thing I would say is the system of serving people could be made more effective but the ice cream is so good to be honest I would have waited an hour!

The ice cream desserts are excellent, however the design, queuing system is not the best especially when busy, which ig very often is.

My goodness spoilt for choice with something for everyone. Without doubt the nicest ice-cream I’ve ever tasted. My husband is very fussy and for him to say it’s 10/10 is something. Can’t wait to go back. It took no time at all for the queue to go down and the staff were really friendly.

The two queues were all the way to the end of the shop, no one seemed to be getting served any quicker. It took us 35 minutes from joining queue to getting ice reams, then we had to eat in the car because there was no where to even stand because it was so busy and there was not enough staff.

What a lovely idea, all those ice creams in one place. Brilliant choice of flavours and ways to eat ice cream. The only disappointing part was the place is so popular there is a lack of space to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Lots of people were turning up, buying what they wanted and eating it in their car. Also there is very little car parking places.

The best I've cream I have ever had in UK. Takeaway pots in various sizes are available to sample their extensive range, also do exceed crepes.

I may be a little biased as I grew up eating this ice cream. But I’ve never tasted better wherever in the world I’ve ate ice cream. There’s great deal of choice of flavours and an array of meals. The only downside is that it gets really busy on hot days as you would expect.

This venue is excellent to take the children for an ice cream treat. Large selection of flavours to choose from. If not local to the area you are missing out on delicious ice cream. Could do with better signposting on the Williamstown / Penrhiwfer Roundabout.

Walked into subzero was spoilt for choice , did not know what to order then another customer passed and I said I will have that because it looked so good, we sat down and when it arrived I was amazed how good it was, still don't know what it was called but it was full of caramel everything but no good for my diet.

Fabulous ice cream which we ate inside the car because the queues were outside the door - there were a few tables and chairs but they were soon taken, and also, the ice cream parlour I Am SubZero was on a trading estate, so apart from the car, there was nowhere else to sit

The choice is outstanding and the taste is exquisite. You really need to find this hidden gem of an ice cream parlour. You will not be disappointed.

Really lovely icecream the seating area is a little on the small side but the HAVES few tables outside to accommodate if you wish to sit in the open air. Service was good but the price tag is a expensive at £5.99.

I have been waiting to visit Sub Zero for a long time, I finally went this week. It was not a disappointment. There is a huge range of ice creams, sorbets, pancakes and waffles, lots of toppings and fresh fruit. You can purchase tubes of 4 small tubs and lots of cartons with many flavours to take away. I live 40 mins away from Sub Zero and I'm glad because if I lived nearer I think I would be there every day. Well worth the visit and the staff were lovely too.

There aren't many places to get a parole with amazing ice cream. The Forrero ice cream, Donatello ice cream and even their ice cream cakes are lush. You can't go wrong with taking the family here and try some different flavours.

Visited with my grandchildren to see santa they loved it worth the money, loads of choices for the grown ups.

You get large portions but they are seriously over priced. I would much rather have something smaller at a lower rate but all items are one set size and price. All in all it is lovely but i won't be rushing back.

came here about 8 at night and was not happy. we waited second in a Que of only 4 people for about 15 minutes or more. no staff acknowledge us, they were just messing about behind the counter we got fed up and left. however i returned the day after and the girl working that shift was lovely! put plenty on our plates, she didn't keep us waiting and we enjoyed, it depends who is serving. also cost 6 pound for a crepe box, rather pricey

Have visited this place a couple of times over the years and have always enjoyed the ice cream. Visited yesterday 8th of October, had a lovely double cone, wife had the same & my children enjoyed what they wanted. When the kids had enough, even got to taste what they had ordered as well.

So much to choose from these fine deeserts. Ice cream, waffles and much more!! Very friendly staff and our order was was done very quickly. Will return again

We’ve visited a few times, there’s so much choice and the ice cream and sorbet are all delicious! We love that you can buy some to bring home too, the only downside is that it’s not the easiest of places to get to, but definitely worth the half an hour drive!

An awesome selection of ice cream flavours and everyone I've tried has been amazing! The desserts all looks awesome too. Can take a while to be served when it's busy, which it often is, but it is definitely worth the wait.

I have visited sub zero a number of times and it has never disappointed. The raspberry and white chocolate crepe is delicious and is a large portion with fresh raspberries. There is a large selection of ice cream flavours to choose from! The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend to all Ice cream lovers!

Visited sub zero and was amazed of this hidden gem, the ice cream was amazing and as I remember as a kid when I used to walk to the old dairy for an ice cream boat in the 80s, the ice cream milk shakes are amazing.

I'm a regular visitor to Subzero. And do you know why? Personally it's the best ice cream I've had. And they are always trying something new. The Easter sundae they had was to die for.

Great choice of delicious desserts to eat in or take away. Clean and staff friendly. My only gripe is there's very limited seating inside. Super busy queuing to the door but bank holiday so to be expected. Staff all flat out to get everyone served. No seats available as so busy lots of people sitting in there car enjoying there ice cream. Loads of out side seating but pouring with rain. Peanut butter waffle I had was lush ice cream lush,toppings lush, waffle more like a pancake. Daughter had cookie with ice cream centre was also lush. Would definitely go back. A must try for all ages.

Friendly staff and an excellent choice, I had a banoffee crepe. Very large portions, my kids could only manage to eat half of their sundaes. We were lucky to arrive just at the right moment to get a table, as the place became very busy just after.

cant say ive ever had a bad experience here, layout always looks so pretty on your plate, always clean and very tasty only complaint is that is is so big it makes you feel sick, you should not go here after a meal this should be your meal.

Been going to this icecream maker since i was a kid and he wss known as mr creamy down the lane in penygraig. Move on 40yrs and it a new name ,new factory and new ice cream parlour. Called in yesterday afternoon the queue was manic and if you had ice cream here before you know this before you get there . Massive choice of ice cream , waffles crepes ,milkshakes ect . You can keep your posh trendy makes i am sub zero so much better .

My wife and I visited this evening and to say we were a little annoyed by the service we received is an understatement.  Whilst we were queuing to  purchase a Sundae each, the lady who was serving us noticed a person she knew in the queue behind us and proceeded to address her and not us, we said nothing, but both my wife and I made a look at her that made her ask us what we wanted.  She proceeded to take our money, but talk to her friend behind us and just left us standing in the queue whilst she brought her friends forward and began to serve them.

Having been a big fan of Mr Creemy's ice cream in the past. ( Sub zero's previous trading name). I was expecting good things from the parlour. Unfortunately it was not good. A chaotic serving system with at least 8 staff behind the counter and not one seemed to know what was going on. We ordered waffles and crepes. The waffles were small flat and the crepes were burnt and crispy. Also the place seemed cramped considering the space they have to build on. Not a patch on other dessert parlours I've been to. Also the counter where the food is cooked were dirty and obviously not cleaned regularly. The only saving grace was the ice cream. All seems like this place was badly planned from the beginning.

I am subzero is one of the best ice cream parlours I've ever been to. They have so much choice and brilliant flavours to choose from. And their flavours taste of what it says on the label. Personally I love their Welsh cake flavour. The options are vast, from tubs to cones, sundaes to waffles. When you visit the parlour it's on a little industrial estate in the Rhonda valley, it's not a place you would expect to find an ice cream parlour but it's well worth the drive out.

Tucked away on an old industrial estate, Iam Subzero is a ice cream lovers paradise. There is so much choice to choose from you wont be disappointed. The staff are friendly, and help you when deciding what to have as theres so much choice it can be overwhelming. You can choose from a huge selection of different ice creams along with waffles, crepes, or just served in a cone. You can eat in and take away. Well worth a visit!

Visited Sunday at 9pm. They close at 10pm but clearly the staff had given up! It want busy but no staff were serving and were instead engaged in horseplay and moping around behind the counter

We have attended Subzero on numerous occasions (embarrassingly too many to mention) and have always had great desserts here. They have ice-creams in every flavour imaginable and the ones we have tried have all been super tasty. My husband orders the same dessert every single time - the Ferrero Pyramid, and refuses to order anything different because he says it is that good. I have tried a few different desserts - crepes, waffles, sundaes etc. and every one of them have been delicious. Our children also love a trip here, and they are very accommodating with the children's choices. The staff are all really nice and have excellent customer service. I feel that Subzero may not be the cheapest ice cream parlour around, but its definitely not the most expensive, and in my opinion it is the best that I have tried locally in terms of taste and value for money as the portions are very generous. They also sell tubs of ice-cream to store in your freezer at home. The only downside is the lack of seating - its always quite busy and lots of people have a take-away to eat in their cars. With 3 children under the age of 6 this is not possible for us as the car would be covered in ice-cream, but we have never had to wait too long for a table to become available. They do have outdoor seating, but in the colder months or wet weather this is not suitable as it is not under any form of shelter. Another small issue is that sometimes we have cleaned our own table with baby wipes, but again, the staff are not to blame as its normally so busy that they are all concentrating on serving customers so it can take a little longer for someone to become available to clean the table, and they are always very apologetic if there is any delay in them being able to clear plates from the previous customers. I would highly recommend a visit here as I guarantee that you wont be disappointed!

First time visit with 3 granddaughters.

Turned up for a family treat today looking forward to it all week ..the girls all had their lush ice cream I ordered strawberry ice cream with waffles to take away (as it was busy and no seating available)so the young guy says that's £15 please,I go to pay by card but to my horror the card machine wasn't working and the girls had gone to sit in the car by this point ..I had no cash on me as I don't carry it ..I've gotta say I've never felt so guilty in all my life when the young guy server sed I could have the ice creams free but no waffles as he hadn't started them yet ..I asked was he sure and he sed it was fine honestly ..I couldn't thank him enough and apologise ..but he said it was an error on their behalf and all customers should have been notified before ordering ..so I can't complain just praise and thank you sub zero once again we will be back

Love coming here with our 5 children, can be expensive, but we keep the visits here as a special treat Only criticism is, it has limited space. As a family of 7 we need to nab 2 tables when they become free which is rare

We visited as a family of four. The queue was out of the door but it went down quickly. It was definitely worth the wait, big portions and absolutely lovely ice cream. We will definitely be visiting again
