I attended the University of Leicester from 2019-2022 and ate here most weeks as my go to cheat meal. My partner and I returned to Leicester specifically to grab a Huns! I tried the Tandori Hun, as it never existed when I was here, and it was soooooo tasty the sauces were bang on paired with chips and gravy it was a meal unmatched. Vegan or Not, Huns is top tier, couldn’t recommend enough!

Great food, vegan sister made me eat here but I was really surprised. Bit expensive but I assumed that would be the case before we went as it’s the only vegan focused place in the area so they need to make their money somehow. Great quality, filling food. Give it a try for a change!

One complaint...why haven't we tried these sooner? One vegetarian one carnivore and we both agreed these were the tastiest of burgers. Absolutely lovely. The chips were good too.

Delicious burgers. Gravy is one of a KIND, i was never a gravy person but with this gravy when i finished my food I just kept eating gravy that was leftover. No other DOPAMINE FOOD LIKE THIS, sooo happy. Travelled an hour in the car just to have some food from HUNS🥰 you guys are blessed by GOD🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥳

Been meaning to try Huns for a while and finally got round there and Wow I wasn't disappointed. The best Vegan chicken burger I have ever had, beats any of the mainstream burger joints hands down. I will be going back 😋😋

came warm tasted great the ‘chicken’ was so crunchy and the fake bacon was so smoky and meaty such good portion size for the price aswell and it was just so tasty i loved it and i would recommend it to literally anyone

I love Huns, they are genuinely the best vegan burgers I've had in the world. We drive from Derby every now and then and they are so worth the drive. Every single one we have tried is delicious and we love the poutine too! Great value, always tasty and always great service too!

Bit greasy but good value- huge food

The BEST veggie takeaway I’ve had. The mchun and the garlic mayo fries were so good and fresh. Honestly it’s so worth it. You do feel really naughty after you’ve had it though!

I went into the store to take home and it’s reasonably priced giving the times we live in but I’d say it’s still a little on the pricey side. I got the Hot huns meal (£10), it’s definitely got a kick to it but it’s really nice and saucy. Only downfall for me was when I bit into it, I could taste the oil which is something I strongly dislike in all foods. The chips were amazing, crispy but not burnt and they were so fluffy. I think they’re one of the best chips I’ve had so far!! The burger itself was £7 with an extra £3 to make it a meal. The food was made to order which is always a bonus. Customer service was great, I didn’t get a name unfortunately because I was too hungry to ask🥲. But he was friendly and gave me an estimate for the waiting time which was 15 mins, although I’m pretty sure it took less than that. For someone that isn’t vegan and doesn’t particularly enjoy vegan food I would rate this place a 7.5/10. Would definitely recommend to my vegan friends and non vegan if they want to give it a try!

Ordered from here for the first time and wasn't disappointed at all, I was very impressed by the flavours that came from this amazing food. Not being a vegan myself, I found this to be arguably one of the best burgers I have ate in my life, one again the flavours were amazing the presentation. Value for money was brilliant, 30% off due to it being there 3rd year anniversary was definitely worth and full advantage of this was taken with over ordering. Southern fried coating on the vegan chicken may be the best I've ever had vegan or otherwise. Will visit again next time I am in Leicester. Bbq cheeseburger spot on they got the ratio of all the ingedients/topping right which very rarely happens with vegan restaurants or food in general in my experience.

This place has 2 have the most friendliest staff I have ever met. It is 1 of the best vegan food places I have ever been 2. It has incredible variety for the burgers especially, the deserts are very good as well.

Awesome food, really hit the spot! Great variety, amazing chips that were really crispy and the right amount of salt. I had the Hawaiian burger and it was so so tasty. The chocolate cheesecake was exquisite and not too rich, it was absolutely divine! Incredible that everything is such high quality and vegan too, we are so lucky to have this in Leicester! Will definitely be back again!

We are doing dry January so trying to keep ourselves occupied, we drove to Huns from Milton Keynes as we kept seeing their wonderful food on Instagram! It did not disappoint. We over ordered with excitement. The portion sizes are fab and there was a veganuaru discount so we paid less than 30 quid for an absolute feast... which we ate in our van happily. We are now looking at the desserts we ordered wondering how to fit them in

Had a Hot Hun burger today at the Loughborough vegan fair, and what can I say ! Quite simply the best burger I have ever had. I will definitely be making a trip over to the Leicester take out very soon.

Sunday evening, feeling hungry but being vegan it's always hard to find good fast food, we are so happy we ordered from Huns, called up at 5:45pm for fish n chips and their deluxe chicken burger, collected at 6pm and was home chilling with the best tasting food I've eaten in a long time. Friendly quick service we will be back again.

This is definitely one of the best Vegan fast food places in Leicester. The food is fresh, made perfect to order. I was worried that maybe the portion sizes would not be great, but they are very generous! This has easily become a must go to place if you want a vegan 'meat' burger or loaded fries. Looks great on the inside and the staff are some of the nicest people around.

OMG I fancied a juicy dirty burger being vegan though a good one is hard to find 🤔 After watching His on The Great British Takeaway and seeing what they did and the reviews they had Hubby and I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed I was in burger heaven it was just like a burger should be full, messy and full of dirty calories there was no way I could of ate chips with it unlike my Hubby however they were tasty as well as did nick 1 or 2. I will be back again however it's a trek from Anstey so will be a great treat when we need one maybe a Sunday evening tea now I know they are open. Staff were friendly, happy to see you and you were greeted with a smile 😀🥰👍

The best burgers I have had an my go to takeaway when I visit Leicester (better than places I've been to in London)! Have tried the chk'n style burger, kebab style burger and lotus Biscoff cheesecake. Once my train into the city was delayed, I missed dinner and we ordered this to the hotel. Delivery was quick and food just as delicious as the time we did takeout from the restaurant itself. Thank you and can't wait to visit again!

It's just so good, we tried the new Vish & chips and I nearly drove back when we'd finished because I was so sad it was over. If you ever need a vegan treat this is the place. If you sell the tatar sauce separately, we'll be back to buy by the barrel.

Been meaning to try this place for along time Decided today was the day Ordered deluxe and garlic mayo loaded fries The burgers were massive and had nice flavour Tad bit to bread crummy tho but still for something that wasn’t meat. Did taste like it. After my first bite I actually thought it was meat! The fries were banging. Loads of flavour. Crispy and these I could eat again and again. Really nice job on these The food was hot when we got it too Well packaged Massive portions Keep up the good work guys

Chicken burgers… I can't usually get 'em 'cause my girlfriend's a vegan which pretty much makes me a vegan… Pulp Fiction aside, this is honestly some of the best meat-substitute I’ve ever had. The taste is great, but it’s the texture that makes it. Sublime. If you’re craving fried chicken, this honestly hits the spot (even if you’re not vegan and could just go and get some fried chicken).

Delicious vegan junk food. Awesomely crispy chick'n burgers, great fries, biodegradable packaging, fun specials (e.g. Xmas no-beef burger at the moment). Wish they delivered to our area but I understand why they don't. Highly recommended for the vegan / plant-based eater!

My favourite take away. Huns is vegan fast food perfection. The chickhun is mouthwatering, the variety of options for burgers is extremely impressive and the people who run it are absolutely lovely. Never had a bad experience or a bad meal from there.

Being an ethical meat eater which essentially means it is very rare to find takeaway food serving such ethical meat and so I and my partner end up with vegan/vegeterian food all of the time. So Hun's was our first time and probably the best vegan chicken burger we have ever tasted! It was succulent, crispy and flavoursome. The value for money was commensurate with the portion size and enough for a hunger munger like me and my partner could only finish half of hers. Will definetely be coming back for more.

I have been vegetarian for the last ten plus years and vegan since January 2021 - and thankfully it's been a lot easier over the past few years to become vegan... definitely so if you have stumbled across Huns. I had heard so much about Huns from my friends and family and finally we ordered some Huns on Friday and I have to say - the food is DELICIOUS. These guys were kind of like a dirty little secret as they used to do kerbside deliveries but they have now (thanks to their hard work - and delicious food) opened a shop on Welford Road. We ordered the deluxe burger, BBQ burger and also the garlic mayo loaded fries - the cost was circa £25 which seems steep but the burgers are MASSIVE!!!!! I mean, I have never experienced a burger that you don't need fries with but Huns you can do without fries (due to the sheer scale and size) - although it would be rude to not have fries?! The food was delicious, the service was excellent (so polite, friendly and just chill) and the whole process was smooth, efficient and quick. I will definitely be returning and hopefully the more people that eat at Huns, the cost may come down (economies of scale and all of that jazz) but regardless - the food was BANGING. Will be back for more guys, keep it up!

Just had a beast of a burger "Deluxe Burger" for £8.50. Worth every penny. The service was fantastic - the staff were welcoming especially to my pooch. Didn't have to wait long. The food looked and tasted fresh. A super dooper serving of cheese, fake bacon and a tasty battered fake chicken burger in a nicely layered crispy coating. Burger was piping hot. Sauce serving was generous too! Definitely worth a try if you like vegan friendly fast food!

Huns is the benchmark I will use from now on when visiting vegan restaurants/takeaways. There's a few small things I would change but these are personal preferences and wouldn't be reflective of everyone's opinions. We drove down from Coventry this afternoon after hearing some very good things and tried the following: Hot Hun Burger - Absolutely phenomenal. The seitan "chicken" is perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft, juicy interior. Seitan burgers can often have some chewy parts but not here! Cooked to perfection. The only small thing I would change is the hot sauce used; Sriracha is a very overpowering flavour and I think it would benefit from having a buffalo or vinegary style hot sauce like Franks or Louisiana instead. Again, this is a personal preference but it would be great to see a buffalo version on the menu. BBQ Wingz - Ah vegan wings with a "bone", amazing! Beautiful texture with a sticky, sweet BBQ sauce covered in sesame seeds! I'd love some more flavour options (buffalo wingz served with a vegan ranch dressing would be incredible!) These were seriously delicious. Gravy Loaded Fries - The star of the show for me! The fries were a little undercooked but that was soon forgotten about once I tried the INSANE southern gravy! Before going vegan I loved KFC gravy and chicken and seriously, the Huns version is better! The fries are topped with their seitan chicken which matches perfectly with the delicious, thick gravy. Make the fries a bit crispier and I reckon this could be one of the very best things I've eaten since going vegan. Yes, they are THAT good! The Original Dog - The taste of the sausage is spot on! Loaded with ketchup, mustard, fried onions and good quality pickles - I think they were dill pickles so extra points for that! This was delicious and will for sure be a staple on my future orders! Biscoff cheesecake and raw cookie dough - Biscoff isn't really my thing but my other half adored her cheesecake. The cookie dough is in the fridge for her to have tomorrow but she had a little taste and said it was amazing! As I said before; this is the benchmark all vegan takeaways should aim for. So many vegan places are popping up and nothing I've tried has come close to Huns. I'll be making the drive down on a regular basis from now on. To top it all off, the service is fantastic. How refreshing to call up and place an order and be greeted on the phone by a SUPER friendly person who genuinely sounded like she cared! They were just as friendly when I arrived too. 10/10 all day long. Thanks guys!

Absolutely perfect burgers, first time I try and absolutely tasteful, just one thing, but it's a bit about me not looking properly, Huns Vegan should numbered their burgers on the delivery bags, because, sadly, I invert my burger with my girlfriend one, but both were great !

Ordered the BBQ burger with fries and a biscoff cheesecake through ubereats and it was all absolutely delicious. Genuinely one of the best vegan burgers and desserts I have ever had! Cannot recommend enough.

First time ordering after looking for a vegan takeaway that does seitan food in Leicester for a while. After finding out that even the loaded fries were vegan, we were sold! Great takeaway food and a good value for money. The only gripe being that the bottom of the burger buns had gone a touch soggy by the time we got home from collection, but that certainly didn't detract from the overall enjoyment. We'll certainly be coming back for seconds!

This is a fantastic chicken alternative!! Loved the texture, I'm not a big fun of seitan but overall it was very good ! They are super friendly, i had their burger at the vegan camp out last year! Can't wait to visit the shop but knowing them I definitely know is super cool !

I have been looking forward to trying huns since it opened, so ordered the hot huns, classic huns and a portion of loaded chick-hun fries. The burgers and fries chick-hun is made out of what looks like gluten. I didn't like any of it I'm more of a soya fan and Quorn products, the actual burger and chick bits are too thick and have no flavour, plus I found it to be greasy, but I think it's to each person's individual taste, I wanted to be honest and definitely worth a try.

If you've recently turned vegan and, like me, miss the taste of fried chicken, Huns is definitely the place to go to scratch that itch! Some of the best vegan chicken burgers around - we've tried the Classic, Hot Hun and the BBQ Hun so far and they have all been incredible, and soon had me forgetting about chicken! Really reasonably priced and worth every penny, and served by friendly staff! A brilliant addition to the world of vegan fast food!
