I had the joy of dining here last week 😊 The food was delicious and affordable. Everything, taking reservations, cooking and service was managed impeccably by the manager, the only employee of the establishment. That's why you have to be prepared to have to wait a few minutes outside for a table to become available, and it's well worth it!

Excellent authentic Georgian food in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The soup dumplings and bread were both fabulous! Stumbled upon this spot needing a quick dinner and got so much more. Great value too.

My wife and I had never had Georgian food before but it was so delicious we had to come back the next night for more. The people were wonderfully kind and the food was exceptional. If you're in Edinburgh do not miss out on this gem!

They've got khinkali and khachapuri, two of the most iconic georgian dishes. All amazingly done, really delicious. The only disappointment is that they don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own wine or beer for a small fee. 5/5 overall!

This is some of the best food I have had in my LIFE! First time trying this type of food. It was absolutely amazing. Family of 4 with 2 smaller kids and we ate every crumb of the food. Absolutely must try!

Amazing food and very friendly staff. We'd had special Hungry Wolf khachapuri and one with chicken and walnut sauce and both were delicious.

Great Georgian comfort food, the khinkali has a great broth and the ajapsandali (eggplant salad) is perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is cosy and the vibes are totally welcoming. I will definitely be returning to try out the rest of the menu.

The Khachapuri and Khinkali were delicious, but the Georgian tomato and cucumber salad was disappointing - no walnuts and the vegetables lacked flavour. The girl serving us was really friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. The place is small, so it’s a good idea to book a table in advance. There’s no restroom on-site, but you can use the one at the pub next door.

While the food is interesting and tasty, I wouldn’t recommend eating in the restaurant at all. It’s not comfy, tableware wasn’t clean, table wasn’t clean. There is no restroom and the seats aren’t comfy. Take away is a good option to my weekly kebap, nothing more.

My partner and I have been craving Georgian food for a very long time after first trying it in Tblisi. We had adjarian katchapuri and cheese khinkali at Hungry Wolf on Wednesday, it was absolutely beautiful, so tasty and authentic. The owner is a wonderful Georgian man making his own Georgian cheese, what more could you want? We loved it, thank you!

I might be wrong, but serving Georgian food on such a small plate ruins the idea of the restaurant. Khinkali were from mince, not chopped meat. And no lemonade...

Great little place with delicious food. You can see the owner making the Georgian bread by hand. Only drawback is lack of any wine to go with the meal.

A unique place with really authentic Georgian plates. The people that have the place are very direct and nice and you feel comfortable. Easy going atmosphere and nice food in good prices.

We ate at the Hungry Wolf on our first evening in Edinburgh and the welcome couldn't have been better: traditional Georgian dishes (happily discovered for the first time) cooked simply but with great care by the chef and owner Manuel who welcomed us with kindness and warmth, even making himself available when I asked him questions about the ingredients to satisfy my culinary curiosity! It's also very cheap... what more could you want? Thank you!

For 20 GBP, two of us had a very good dinner. The place is small with good service. They don't sell alcohol and you have to bring it yourself, we bought it at the pub next door. recommendable

Friendly staff. Very good. This tastes like "mother cooked", gives a safe and warm feeling in the stomach. Would have liked to have tasted a Georgian wine, but unfortunately they had no wine rights. Located near the tram so it's easy to get here.

Absolutely delicious, the food portions are extremely generous and the price is very reasonable. The cheese was super cheesy, as it should be! The service was also great. Its a small restaurant but very comfortable nonetheless, definitely recommend booking in advance as it is definitely worth it!

A great restaurant with very nice owners and reasonable prices. The food is freshly prepared, the portions are large and the taste is very good. The owner is very nice and gave us good advice on our choice of food.

The food is very delicious. We Tried Khachapuri and Khinkali (dumplings). Everything tasted amazing. Serving was quick and you can enjoy seeing the preparation process in the open kitchen. Very Friendly staff, gave us some useful tips about visiting interesting places in Edinburgh. We will be glad to enjoy visiting the place again.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. Homemade food run by a wonderful Georgian fella. You can eat as much as you want and the prices are incredibly fair, £20-30 in total for an entire meal. My one hope is that they can move to a bigger place, and expand! I love these guys.

Wish I could give Hungry Wolf 6*!! Popped in just on a whim, stuck in Leith for 2 hours - the place is lovely. It feels like being a guest in a comfy living room. We had no idea what the food was, so the chef helpfully came over to talk us through the menu, and show us pictures of what each dish looked like. I picked something I wouldn't normally try (a cheese boat with black beans), and it was incredible! My buddy loved his "open heart" dish, too. Plus the music was great, there's an open kitchen, big portion sizes - we'll definitely be back. This place deserves to be busier than it was.

The pizza styled food is delicious but the mains and dumplings are underseasoned.

A unique experience! A single room in extension of the kitchen, absolutely authentic with two chefs working the place. Want wine? Go buy some in the shop nearby. Bathroom? - Across the street. The food? Wonderful, delicious, a little different to the cheese-dough combo of a normal pizza, and really filling! A heart-and belly-warming experience that will stay with me!

A hidden gem of Edinburgh restaurants! Definitely recommended for everyone, especially those who are still not familiar with Georgian cuisine (you are missing a lot). Will definitely come back to explore other parts of the menu.

Loved this place! AMAZING smells when you open the door. Cosy feel with only 4 tables, open kitchen so you can see your food getting made. Staff very friendly. Menu was explained to us & we took a couple of the recommended dishes. Delicious. Will 100% revisit :)

You absolutely MUST come here! They only have like 4 tables, so book a table, but you won't regret it. We got the spicy pork khachapuri and the Karcho, and they were some of the best food I've ever had! I wasn't sure what to expect because we went with the waiter's recommendation (the karcho), but it was THE best decision.

I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent. You can transport yourself to another dimension here. Tasting the cuisine and receiving tips from the chef was something extraordinary. Every customer is treated individually, which is lacking in other places. The venue isn't large, but it has a very cool atmosphere. I recommend it and am adding it to my favorite places.

Don't trust the opening times advertised online. Wasted 30 minutes walking to this place only to find it shuttered and closed. Very disappointing.

The decor needs a bit of work. However, the food and service more than make up for this. It's definitely worth your time to try a bit of another country's cuisine.

I have tried the Georgian cuisine many times in Kyiv and when we found this hidden gem I could hardly pass by. Khynkaly and khachapury are stunning. Recommend to try. Also I liked the friendly atmosphere. The prices are reasonable too!

Simple but really lovely cafe for Georgian food.

Fantastic food cooked right in front of you. Davit is passionate about what he does, and the new guy shows the same enthusiasm for the food. Some of the loveliest staff in Edinburgh. If there are any specials on, I would highly recommend ordering them (on top of the adjaruli khachapuri!)

The pizzas and hotdogs from Hungry Wolf were super delicious! My 3yo demolished the margarita pizza. He loved it. As for hotdogs, I'll order two next time. It was too good to eat one.

Good amount of food for the price, very tasty both the cheese boat and the garlic bread. On the garlic bread there wasn’t just oil but also garlic slices. Will order again!

The burger came in silver wrap which made the look not really nice.
