Been a while since we'd been here. Was average but acceptable food. Ok selection of beers. Good staff

We had a table of 19 of all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves. Great service and the staff kept everything under control especially with people trying to push in the lines at the bar. All the staff were amazing and so polite and couldn't help enough.

Truly amazing! I was there during a work visit for a quick bite 1 night.....this turned into 3 nights of amazing food, great staff and me and my colleagues are going to look for Hungry Horses wherever we end up working.

Nice place to eat whilst on holiday

Food was good value for money, range of beers very average, I had a evening meal and had a 40miniute wait , not over busy so surprised. But for value of money I will return.

Excellent quality and service, 3 breakfasts and 3 drinks for £20 certainly can't complain about that, will definitely be visiting again when I'm down this way 👍

Food was quite fine. Not too bad for the price. Server Iryna was friendly and assisted with requests promptly.

Filled up a family of 4 for under £60 at lunch time to the extent that we didnt eat for the rest of the day. Amazing value, nice food and friendly staff.

Busy at the till/bar. So a little wait to order. Staff are working hard and rushed of there feet.

Cheap and cheerful place decent quality food but sometimes gets busy, for the price you will not get better value for money, staff work there socks off and do there best

Great value food. Great for family's, not quite so if you don't want kids running around. All in all great if for a family meal

I can't remember the last time I went to a peckish pony. But the memory still serves me well. Cheap and cheerful. You'll receive a lot for your money.

Very affordable extended range of dishes. Hardworking jubilant staff. Full fat Coke Cola with old school vanilla is perfection for that nostalgic sweet tooth!

As a regular visitor I was extremely disappointed in today’s visits. Staff were rude and unwelcoming. We had the 3 course festive meal. Well over half didn’t get eaten from the 4 of us that were there. One meal had to be sent bad due to nearly raw prawns. It was sent back out with the same main part of dish but new prawns so the rest of the meal was cold. It was served as part of a sizzler that wasn’t sizzling at all and was nearly cold. All the other meals were either over cooked or items were under cooked. Told the waitress to feedback to manager but didn’t hear anything back. They have lost some regular customers today as we won’t be going back.

I have visited this pub many many times over the last 6 years. It’s had ups and downs but today was by far the worst I have experienced. One main meal was sent out with Prawns that weren’t cooked so it was sent back, it eventually came back with all the original food (now stone cold) and three new prawns. The same main meal was supposed to be on a sizzling platter, there was no sizzle as the black sizzle plate was barely warm, which resulted in all of the ‘sizzling veg’ being licks warm mush. The holiday burger was tasteless and the pig in blanket was almost cooked! The fairytale new Yorker was far from fairytale! And the chips with the meals were so hard they broke when we tried to stab them. We have feedback to the server but the manager (who was definitely in as he told us which our table was when we arrived) didn’t even come over and speak to us. The deserts were then presented and tasted stale and were very unpleasant.

Only had a chicken bacon,melted cheese baguette. The chicken was luke warm, the bacon was cold and the cheese wasn't melted!! How did they get a simple thing wrong! I ended up just having a bite of chicken as I was wary and I had diarrhoea all night

Food came too quickly to be cooked fresh and the chips were tepid when the food was served. The pub was very quiet when we arrived so no atmosphere!

Decent selection on the menu reasonably priced, decent pub, although could do with a fresh lick of paint outside as starting to look a bit rundown worth popping in for a bite to eat if you're in the area

I'm not sure if it's recently changed hands in management, it's not the same.

Food poor quality offers a Thursday special if you ask for it get treated like a scrounger and embarrass that was the manager that atmosphere a bit on the rough side

Food was nice, the combination was slightly strange. Drinks where quite weak. Nice restaurant, ladies toilets where slightly tricky to navigate getting in and out and closing the door

Good food quick service and well kept beer. Can be a little noisy as you get a lot of families with young children but to be expected and should not stop you going.

Fantastic prices, great food though waited 45 minutes for my food after my friends got theirs and when I said they said it was because I had a starter. They forget to check on me and never thought to bring me my food despite only having some garlic bread. Never apologised when I mentioned it or even when they brought my food. I had to eat my food without my friends as they had finished their meals by the time I got mine. Very poor

Went here for a friend's birthday. A good choice of meals. All of the food was well presented and well cooked. None of us had steak so I can't comment on that. Plenty of room but wise to book a table as it is often very busy here. A good choice of beers and soft drinks. Coffee and tea also available. There are deals on all of the time so it is well worth having a closer look at the menu or asking the staff. There is also a nice selection of desert, unfortunately we had o room to try them as the mains were very large. My little boy loved the ice cream. Friendly helpful staff, clean toilets and adequate free parking with 2 disabled spaces close to the entrance.

As always great customer service and fist class food and service and one thing that says a lot about a restaurant is it's 🚽 and yours was exceptional 5 stars all the way

The place is busy (so pre booking is essential). It can get nousy as some people bring their children to run around rather than sit sensibly, which is tricky for the staff who are carrying plates of hot food or "sizzler" skillets. The staff are very helpful and willing to accommodate any particular dietary needs when they can and the food is very reasonably priced too. The pub is part of the Greene King chain so the food is served to the brand standard, the portions are generous too. We go here often when we're visiting relatives in the village (we're from London - so the prices are always pleasant)

Went for a meal here,by chance,the food was lovely and servise great. Hopefully will visit again...recommend for an honest good meal.

Food was alright the drinks were fine. Not many staff so took longer than expected. My main issue is the toilets. Very small and the doors need some work.
