We visited here for a few drinks recently and have to say that (some not all) of the bar staff seemed a bit rude/uninterested. We really didn't feel welcome so had one drink and left. Meg was amazing so helpful and checking everything was okay with the food and service. Considering there was a large party of us the food came out on time nice and hot well presented, I couldn’t fault it steak were lovely and tender too. We was all a bit reluctant after reading about the poor star rating. But can honestly say there was nothing to worry about, you can go to the best and the still have rubbish food.

Amazing value for money and the mixed grill the best I have ever had ❤️ the steak was juicy and the chicken fell apart as I was cutting it, like you would have at home, I can’t say enough good news about it, the people were friendly and helpful, thank you.

Booked for a family christmas meal, arrived 10 mins early but table was ready. Used the new app which you use to order from your table and first use 20% off, started well ordered drinks and food 20% discount was not applied I got around 5% discount, wasnt in the mood to argue so just let it go. 3 drinks arrived, had to show my order to show woman 4 had been ordered, I had ordered pimms 100ml with lemonade, I got pimms and a shot of lemonade and an extra glass of lemonade as they had no large glasses so had to drinks very strong pimms to be able to make room to put more lemonade in and no fruit either. Food arrived quickly and though a little overdone was nice. Had seen that they had new management after being given a 0 rating on food and can honestly say it was a lot better than expected service was very quick and that was on all tables but the online ordering still has glitches hence the drop of 1 star.

Ruined our christmas party, we had booked our meal in September for 9 people. When we arrived we had to wait for our table as it was not ready. When we eventually sat down the waitress asked if we were ready for our food, we replied we were. We waited over half an hour for our starters to come out. The prawn cocktail was warm, tasteless & congealed. Not at all nice but had to eat as was hungry & waited so long for it to come. After we finished they eventually came to clear plates we asked for our mains. 40 mins later we get our mains. All christmas meals were cold & hardly any gravy on them, one person was really lucky with their steak as they had a hair on it!!!! We asked for more gravy, it came after we had finished our meal. The only decent part of the night was the pudding!!! Yes we were given a discount for the meal but it doesnt make up for our night being ruined.

I have not been in this pub for ages and I was so surprised food was great and hot and presented great atmosphere in there is good it’s a great place to eat and drink and to even just chill will definitely be back
