Visiting London for the weekend, called in here for a drink. It was pretty busy but we managed to get a table. Decided to order food and decided on a sharing platter for 2 - consisted of four small pies, potatoes and veg. Cost £39.50 and although for a ‘northerner’ this was a bit on the expensive side, it’s about average what you pay in London! Food and service were good. Nice atmosphere in the pub and a lovely place ..

We had some friends visiting London who intended to visit The Tower and we agreed to meet them for a late lunch. Having been to the HD&Q a number of times, the location was ideal. As always the service was first class, the food was served fast - it was very tasty (would recommend the steak pie), HOT. and in ample portions, which is everything that you could want. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and although there was, in theory, a time for the table we were not rushed and went well past that.

I wish TA had a category between “Average” and “Very Good” as I think this pub sits somewhere between. Very busy, so glad we booked a table (this had to be done at short notice unfortunately for personal circumstances and nothing to do with the pub) and actually got a better situated one as it had been vacated earlier. Food was good, but rather small portions and possibly a bit pricey? My partner’s meal (a chicken and ham pie) was a bit salty. Still it’s a Fullers pub so it has a beautiful decor and a great selection of beers.

We went here at the recommendation of a tour guide after we went to the Tower of London. What a great find! We made a reservation (which turns out to have not been necessary but I'm guessing it would have been during the height of tourist season) and had a really great meal. Definitely better quality food and service than the other pubs we visited.

I love Parisian cafés, especially when you can sit outside under the trees and lookout onto a wonderful view of the city. However, when in London, I don't want to go to a similar place. Going to a real old authentic pub, and eating pie and three times cooked chips, allows me to feel like a Londonian. Reserve in advance and if you are just two, ask for table 9, which is by a window with a good view of the pub. Try their traditional steak pie, or the newly added game pie; however, there are fish and vegetarian options too!

A nice pub but food not good. Beef brisket starter was ridiculously over priced, small portion and over cooked whilst cheese "toastie" was basically a sandwich. Nice as a pub but seems to be better options for food in the area.

We went for lunch, the scotch egg with haggis was really good. My husband had lamb for his main course which he really enjoyed. I had a fish sandwich, I felt the fish was a little sparse on the sandwich. Overall a nice experience.

Wish things had gone better - or perhaps it is my fault for thinking I should stay to grab a bite to eat. To be fair - they pour a nice pint of London Pride, and the pub itself is nice inside. I made the mistake of staying to eat. Not only were they out of multiple items on the menu, service was truly dismal. I asked for tap water, and received a pre-filled bottle with a little glass on top - nice, right? No. The glass itself was dirty. Staff acknowledged it was once I requested a clean one, but the clean one never came. I ended up having to drink said water from my beer glass. I also made the mistake of ordering fish & chips in a pub. The chips were great if you like crispy chips (and I do), but the fish was dry and tasted old. Overall, I just felt forgotten. Thankfully they did not include their service charge on the bill. If you are near the Tower of London - go get a pint! Enjoy it.

This is our 3rd time visiting the Hung Drawn & Quartered. We absolutely love it here. It’s so welcoming and has the most lovely atmosphere. The food is delicious but what makes it so special is the young guy who manages it, he is exceptional. He is so welcoming & makes everyone feel so special and welcome into his pub. He remembered us which was very nice and made us feel even more special. We came as a family of four and our little dog was also made to feel very welcome. All his Team are exceptional too. Thank you so much and we can’t wait to see you in November for a delicious Sunday dinner. It’s a must if you’re close to the Tower of London.

Popped in for a quick pint, very welcoming chap behind the bar. Nice vibe, good music - not too loud, cold beer and clean tables.

The food was just incredible! Got the taste of London in perfect surroundings. The only change I would ask is to have music that fitted the feel of the pub. So much to see and look at, abs the service was second to none. Great pub, and well worth the visit

Popped in for a catch up drink with some friends. Great little pub, super location. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Drinks were expensive but we’re from up North so not used to the London prices- I’m sure it’s the same everywhere else! Didn’t order any food but from what we saw it all looked really good. Would definitely pop back when we’re next in London.

Standard pub grub pricey for what you get but it is London, great host in the guise of David, he fully deserves a pay rise as he’s a credit to this pub.

Popped in here yesterday with my wife after visiting The Tower - hungry and thirsty - immediately made welcome by a young man called Jay - couldn't have been better - attentive - polite but with a great sense of humour. Had a couple of starters and a quick round of drinks - bit expensive but hey who cares with service like this - look at the location too - nicely finished English pub - great staff - dont change anything.

Nice traditional pub in the heart of the City with a good choice of draft beers. Staff were really friendly and table service and ordering via the App was quick and easy. Worth a visit if you’re in the area for a pint.

OMG! Came here for a drink, ordered two Vodka and Diet Cokes only to find it costed £22.70! These were already made before we paid. On questioning staff on why it was so expensive he replied it was due to COVID!!!!!!!Never in my life have I felt so ripped off!Absolutely disgusting! DON’T come here for drinks, go to Wetherspoons on Tower Hill!

A fantastic proper pub!!had a few drinks on our way back to the station after a visit to the Sky Garden. Service via the app was efficient and the staff friendly. Lovely place.

Visiting London and found the closest pub near the tower. The food was so good, good choice of beer and staff very attentive! Totally recommend to all ages and families!

Was visiting some friends while in town, and was glad we decided to stop in for lunch. Food and drinks were good, and the pub was cool. Service was quick and overall the experience was great.

Was happy to pop back into the Hung Drawn and Quartered for lunch after it had been shut during the lockdown. Same great selection of beers and pie as before! The American bartender has a fantastically dry sense of humour as well.

Could be a great pub but very controlled in terms of WiFi etc. I could not even view an estate agents website during my lunchtime. And the loos were pretty smelly. Other than that, averagely OK.

Popped in for a quick drink while on a self guided walking tour. Greeted and seated immediately and drinks arrived shortly after. Could have this kind of service any time over queuing at the bar!

September 2020 -Stopped by for supper, as the name of the pub caught our attention. Extremely happy we went in! Service was good & very prompt, given it was very busy. We all had fish and chips, and it was quite tasty. The fish portion was large and cooked well. Various items decorate the restaurant, which show the buildings history. Definitely pleased with our visit. Highly recommended.

Queríamos un lugar diferente que no fuera una cadena y no nos decepcionó.Llegamos a las 3:30 pm y muchas mesas tenían reservaciones con una hora. Nos dijeron que podíamos sentarnos en cualquier mesa que quisiéramos siempre que estuviéramos fuera antes de la hora de reserva.Estuvimos una hora y media con 3 campos. Había mucha variedad, incluidas opciones veganas y vegetarianas. El personal era muy amable y atento, especialmente nuestro camarero David. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Si estás en la zona, ¡no te lo pierdas!

Went in for a drink on Monday night after listening to Boris Johnson talking about pubs clubs and restaurants shutting for a few weeks we had booked the ceremony of the keys at the Tower of London and it was also my wife’s birthday . We decided to leave it a bit late in the evening as it would be quieter there was a small group of city lads drinking and a few other couples the young Barman was very polite and I had a couple of pints of Fullers ESP which was fantastic I did fancy some of their pies but they weren’t cooking as it was obviously very quiet a great London pub very close to the Tower of London we will visit again in better times .

Great small pub with wooden interior. Feels kind a old and classic but very and chic at the same time. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Very nice and friendly staff but they should tend to clean the tables more often, as we were placed on one that was not fully wiped and cleaned. But apart from that, very good bar to socialize and spend a nice afternoon or a evening with your friend enjoying a glass of beer.

Nos encontramos con el pub mientras buscábamos alrededor de la torre de Londres y estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho. Nos recibió un joven encantador que fue muy acogedor, me recomendó una pale ale para mi pareja que era encantadora, explicó que era el primer día de su semana de tarta y cerveza. Mi compañero pidió la tarta de venado que bajó muy bien, nos gustó especialmente la olla de salsa con el plato. Pedí el eglefino y las patatas fritas, que también era muy agradable, luego tuvimos la tabla de quesos para budín toda nuestra comida estuvo muy bien presentada, salió rápidamente y estaba agradable y caliente. También nos llevamos a casa un huevo escocés de morcilla. Tenía un precio razonable, el servicio era excelente y amable, sin duda recomendaríamos este lugar a otros. Lo único que podríamos decir que necesitaría mejoras sería un poco más de verduras con el plato de tarta.

Wir waren sehr Oft dort und fanden es super, das Essen ist außergewöhnlich gut und sie bieten viele verschieden Getränke an. Zudem ist das Personal einfach Super! Ich habe als Souvenir ein glas einfach bekommen und wir hatten einmal als Entschädigung das sie den gewünschten wein nicht hatten eine halbe gratis bekommen. Die preise sind für London ok und für die läge angemessen. Nur Lokals sind vorzufinden, was immer für eine Ort spricht. Ich fand es einfach toll und kann es nur weiter empfehlen, man wird sehr warm und herzlich vom Service betreut ! Die Snacks sind super und die Biere vielfältig und gut!

Hungrig, nass geregnet und verfroren aus dem Tower kommend wurden wir freundlich empfangen und mit Bier (internationale, große Auswahl) versorgt, bis ein Tisch frei wurde- Fish and Chips sehr zu empfehlen, nettes Ambiente, sehr sauber, freundliche Bedienung.

Desafortunadamente, después de haber tenido que esperar un tiempo para que se liberen las mesas reservadas, a pesar de que los que reservaron no se han presentado, hemos tenido un servicio al cliente de alta calidad, no.Uno de los miembros del personal, una señora con gafas y muchos tatuajes gritó a uno de los miembros de nuestro grupo que intentó mover una silla de una mesa libre para que pudiéramos sentarnos juntas. Una actitud increíble para alguien en la industria del servicio al cliente no se apresurará a volver con tanta agresión. ¿Tiene delirios de grandeza o qué? No te metas con ella.

I enjoyed an afternoon drink here with my Partner. It's a small ol' English pub with dark wood interior with an 'oldy-woldy' feel. Lovely barstaff. Very relaxed atmosphere.The only downside would be that 'sticky' feeling on the tables, when wood varnish has had its day. That said, I would still return there.

A beautiful pub with excellent service and delicious food. After touring the Tower of London, were were famished and needed a break. This was the perfect, charming place to come. The pies and fish and chips are great.

This is one of our regular haunts when in London. The place has an excellent range of beers and a good selection of food. The staff have always been friendly knowledgable. Great place to pop into after some sight seeing or a long walk.

We weren’t too hungry so went with a selection of small plates - red pepper hummus, tomato and burrata salad, cauliflower cheese and spicy calamari. Three out of four were really good. Alas the calamari was really over cooked. Edible but we’ve had better. Excellent beers and nice kid’s burger for our son.

We called at The Hung Drawn & Quartered today on our way to our hotel. It’s a great busy pub in a great location. The staff are very helpful even though there was lot of people to deal with

This place has character, decent service and acceptable pub grub. Nothing fancy or special but consistently good. Have been there half a dozen times and prefect it to other nearby options. Also has pretty decent Guinness which is a welcome bonus

Character pub, near Tower Bridge, good beer and atmosphere. Look for the Gallows above the bar and read the description of Hung, Drawn & Quartered. And make sure you pay your bill as you never know what the consequenses will be.

Always liked this pub for food and drink. Used it for work and for leisure over the years. Can be tricky to get a seat though.

I suppose it's the ghoulish aspect of this pub, coupled with the good beer and proximity to my office draws me in now and again. But it smells very odd inside. Nicely laid out, lots of history, stuff on the walls, decent beer. But smelly!

Hard to find a pub in The City area that has decent Guinness and a food offering. This one is nothing very special but decent nonetheless. It has no pretensions, just beer and a small menu. I’ve been there three or four times and I’d rate it above most pubs in the area. If you want something casual to eat with a good beer and noice staff, try it !!

For a quick bite and a pint very good the meat pies were filling and full of flavor with a nice atmosphere and good service. Would return and recommend.

This traditional English pub set in the Tower area is a trip back to a time of former glories. It offers a range of beers and lagers to satisfy most tastes which are well kept.

We were very happy to discover that this restaurant made fresh pies. The staff was responsive, friendly and helpful—so refreshing. And the food was really good—satisfying to vegetarians and carnivores. Homemade apple crumble was the perfect way to end the day.

We had drinks and snacks yesterday, the black pudding scotch egg was particularly good. Went back for lunch today and enjoyed a couple of excellent pies followed by a really good lemon tart. Lovely staff too. Thoroughly recommended.

We fell across this pub whilst visiting churches near the Tower of London. It’s a beautiful building with incredibly tall ceilings and an airy environment. The tables and floor were really clean and the staff were enthusiastic. We didn’t eat but stopped for a drink and snacks. Would consider this pub if in the area in the future.

Great food, great atmosphere, delicious food. We visited one time for lunch following a long flight and a missed connection and with seven hours to kill until the next flight out, we decided to hop a fast train from Gatwick into the city. We wandered around the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London and then tired, jet-lagged, hungry, and thirsty, we found, by providence, Hung, Drawn & Quartered. The virtual embodiment of my imaginary typical English pub. I (we) thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the draughts and the time we spent there. I had a super satisfying lamb shepherd's pie (although the fish and chips at the neighboring table looked amazing and made my mouth water - next time, maybe?). The friendly staff will advise you on the best choice of beer and ale - there are so many to choose from. Great place, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. Go!

Very busy the night we decided to dine there. Only one table available in the middle of crowded bar but when i asked if there was anywhere else to sit waitress told me to sit at the table and first spot to open up we would get it. I watched waitress and she told everyone of her co workers that the next open table was ours. in 5 minutes we were reseated and had a great meal served by a nice waitress in a great and professional establishment.

Cerca de la Torre, frente a una cervecería moderna, se encuentra esta joya de pub inglés. Ventanas abiertas, corrientes de aire y personal amable. Creo que es un establecimiento Fullers. De todos modos, el pastel de carne / cebolla de Londres es fenomenal. Hacen un pastel de 3 x 3 y un vuelo de cervezas que vale la pena comprar para probar cosas. Hice ESB, Fullers Frontier y una Honey Ale. La frontera era buena y ESB era el mejor. Pescado y patatas fritas eran geniales como se esperaba.

Went for lunch in this lovely building, thought it would be so much bigger than it was.It was nice to have table service instead of ordering at the bar.The food was tasty but nothing special and reasonably priced.Although it was busy the staff were very quick and pleasant. We would eat here again.

Stopped here for a quick meal and refreshment. Quite frankly if that is the way squid(calamari) is traditionally cooked here then we are very spoilt at home. I guess if you want “traditional” food get a hardened intestinal tract.

Hung, Drawn and Quartered is a wonderful pub with great service and a wide selection of authentic pub food. You will not be disappointed.

The pub is nice and in a good location close to the tower. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food is nothing I can recommend. We had a pie and the fish and chips and both tasted not good

We stopped in for a bite. The place was packed so we grabbed a pint at the bar before a table opened. Nice selection of beers! Cold on a hot day. Our server, Daniel, was very helpful. He made great suggestions. We would have all ordered Fish and chips, which were good, but he encouraged some of the other items. Ended up with a couple different meat pies and a fish and chip. All were very good!

We stopped here for drinks on a hot and sweaty walk from The Tower of London. The service was kind and the bar man was the nicest person I’ve ever met in London! (American guy). Thank you!

Wait staff was terrible - got our order wrong, forgot things, didn't charge my son the kit's meal price. The pies were classically good, but just know that the service really is terrible.

Disfrutamos de este lugar. Estaba un poco ocupado pero pudimos conseguir una mesa. Teníamos una hamburguesa (solo porque estaban fuera de uno de los platos que queríamos) y luego conseguimos los 4 artículos por $ 20. Tuve el huevo escocés, Welsh rarebit, pescado (sin patatas fritas) y un pastel de carne. Lo disfruté muchísimo y lo recomiendo altamente!

Visited for lunch with some friends. Chances upon it because the place we planned to go nearby was closed. Turned out to be a great mistake. The place was busy but the staff told us they could get us a table in 5 minutes which they did. Pub food and beer for lunch - both very good.

Was here for dinner in June 2019. It was exremely hard to get any of the waiters attention. Most of them were just gazy around or joking with each other behind the counter. From my view in the corner I could tell that there were at least two other tables with the same problem. One couple just gave up frustrated and left and the other table with four people had to wait for 30 Minutes to get their bill. This was about my waiting time until the waitress came to take my order too. After finally ordering the food was served promtly but I had to wait for another 20 Minutes until they brought me the drink. The pie could have been warmed in the microwave and was tiny. The salad was just dry leaves without any hint of dressing. I wouldn't ever recommnd to eat here.

We ate here today after touring the Tower of London and before our river cruise. The wait staff was extremely lazy and stood around most of the time. Nobody came to take our order after sitting there for 20 minutes (even though they were taking orders at adjacent tables) and I finally ordered from the bar. The food was good but we were never able to get the dessert for the kids meal which our 8 year old ordered. We asked about it several times and they stopped by the table to tell us it would be coming. It was a simple brownie with ice cream. After waiting for 30 minutes for this, we finally convinced our 8 year old to let us buy him an ice cream down by the pier before our cruise. We left. It seems like if you pay prior to the meal, the service is terrible.

We were planning on checking out Hung, Drawn & Quartered while in London on vacation because we had seen the place on an episode of McMafia and it looked cool. Luckily, while out on an all day tour with our great guide Mike from Tours by Locals, he had picked this place out for our lunch. And no, he did not know it from the TV show. Anyway, we had a very tasty lunch. Mike and I both had sandwiches and chips and my wife had Welsh rarebit. I also had a tasty lager. Everything was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. The decor in this place, inside and out, is really beautiful. Like most pubs in London, the toilets are in the basement. The pub is downtown, or as Mike told us, what the locals call “the city”. Great time and would highly recommend this place.

This pub was around the corner of our hotel. We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Good pub food and drinks. Our server was very attentive. A nice place.

We got a very nice dinner in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. They do cook some different and very tasting pies. Together with some tasty pines it was a very good experience.

An institution in the Tower Hill area. Unfortunately, only very limited outside seating capacities (usually, 2-3 tables for 2 people each). They serve great pies. Will for sure come back, you can’t make anything wrong with this choice.
