I had lunch with my friends today, we have been coming to this cafe for many years and the lady who owns it has always been friendly, polite and patient. She knows what her regulars like. The meals are always so tasty, lots of choice and served up big portions, great value for money . The cafe has a friendly relaxing atmosphere and we are never felt rushed. I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to a lovely young man who we haven't met, but he very kindly paid for our meals today, we were told we reminded him of his mum, she must be so proud that she has a very kind son. He has given back faith to four ladies, that there is still good in the world.

Lovely traditional greasy spoon that won't be beaten on price! Ridiculously good value for a quick lunch - eggs were poached perfectly, also excellent chips. Cash only, service quick but by no means unfriendly.

Just the best veggie fry up ever.....as veggies some times a fry up can be very disapointing but not here..... lovely sausage, real mushrooms (not out of a tin and plenty of them) egg, tomatoes, bean, hashbrowns and a goodly portion! To full to manage toast as well.... Not a hint of advocado or limp spinich thank goodness!!!!

The menu is Standard English Fare. Service is offered to Eat In or Take Away. Tradesmen and Council Staff always frequent this reasonably priced business. There are many local residents, overseas visitors, and people who attended the Boxing at York Hall. Many Boxers and entourage can be witnessed by Pre Fight meals. I am a customer of many years standing and have had breakfast at 6.00 AM or if needs arise, I have been catered for in the Early Evening. As far as I understand, there has been a Cafe at these premises for 50 years. Hulya and her husband aim to please. The facelift during the Lockdown has given the Premises a New Lease Of Life.

Went here for breakfast while staying in a hotel in the area for 4 nights. The breakfast was really nice and the portions will see you through the day. Basic cafe but we went back every day as the food was so good. Quick service friendly staff.

I go to Hulya's most weeks because it's cheaper than anywhere in Bethnal Green! It's basic but the portions are huge and the service I've received has always been good. It serves the best bacon rolls ever!

I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about, this place is fantastic. Quick, huge, nice quality breakfasts with friendly staff and a cosy, modest interior. I go here all the time and will always continue to do so!

So many places like this have closed with E2 gentrification. Long live Hulya’s!!!! Big range and not expensive. Quick service, hassle free. Loyal locals.

I used to come here for hangover breakfasts back in the day so this was a nostalgia-inspired visit! This time I had my three children in tow, one a very fussy eater. The kids menu here is unbelievably cheap as in fact is the rest of the menu. The place hasn't changed hands in twenty years and I'm glad to say they've kept their standards high. The children all cleared their plates. I had my favourite cheese omelette and chips with salad, the children had chicken nuggets and burger. Ok so it's not the healthiest food in the world but the quality is much higher than your usual burger joint. There is an open kitchen so you can see the food being prepared, they have a 'good' hygiene rating (I checked subsequently!) and friendly staff. If you are visiting the Museum of Childhood over the road then do yourself a favour, escape the din and the over-priced Benugo wraps and come here for a good value, filling lunch instead.

Very good wraps if pricey at £8 but worth it. Good coffee and tea in a teapot so a decent amount. Recommend it. Nice outdoor seating area too. BUT Toilet could do with a deep clean and repaint !

Visited today. Delicious. I had the full English. It’s great ! Partner had French toast. Also superb. The breakfast tea I had was also spot on. Throughly recommended

very conveniently located but I would 10000% recommend crossing over the road and going to Jolene's. Don't go near the mochas here unless you like 4 sugars in your coffee to mask the horrendous bitterness. service is alright but its clear that they hope the coffee 'speaks for itself' and at £4.40 for a small takeaway cup I am not happy

If you like sport, this is the place for you!! Three dartboards, four pool tables, great reasonable food, good bar service. Went to a finals night there, perfect Venue for this event. Well organised and supported by the bar… I would say ideal for a team bonding session etc..TV’s showing every sport known to man..Don’t miss out
