Really great food, burgers are good size and the garlic mayo is amazing. Great cocktails and the first place we have found waffle fries. Great atmosphere and cosy feel. Staff friendly and helpful very recommended.

Burger was good, nachos were grim, milkshake took ages and was too watery, walls are filthy, very expensive. Wouldn’t recommend.

We went here for lunch and had the chicken burger. It was great. We sat upstairs and had a view of the harbour - would recommend, friendly service tasty food whats not to like

I had a late lunch here and was seated without any difficulty. The restaurant wasn't crowded for a weekend winter afternoon. The food was decent; the burger was cooked well, and the garlic parmesan chips were average. The staff were wonderful throughout our visit. Most noteworthy was the relaxing ambiance and the amazing view. I would happily dine here again.

The service was not to bad when got seated We ordered the the mother clucker burger, The kahuna burger, with chilli loaded fries and a kids meal the burger was quite small also Orders xl milkshakes which quite good to he fair big we had finished i had to ask for my partner’s and I with the child’s bill which came to £69.58 to summary It is quite pricey for what you pay, to basically £70 for 2 burgers fries, 2 drinks and a kids meal

Delicious 2 for £10 cocktails! Place is warm, has a great view, and staff are friendly and efficient.

My boyfriend and I have long been searching for the worlds best smash burger and we have currently found the lead!!!! The Oklahoma is the perfect specimen - double onion smashed patties, American cheese, mustard. Simple. Juicy. Does what it says on the tin. Coming in at just under a tenner, we have not found a better contender than this. GIVE IT A GO!!! Special shout out to the friendly faces of the lovely staff too!

Called in here a few times during a recent holiday. Warm & welcoming atmosphere & friendly staff - with amazing views over the harbour. Great choice of drinks including brilliant local & international beers and fabulous cocktails. Food was great - really tasty and beautifully presented…. For us, the staff make this place so special - knowledgeable about their products and the area - thank you so much. Highly recommend 😊

Worst service! Very rude staff, we had booked a table but were running late, however we emailed in with plenty of notice to let them know as it stated to do on the booking confirmation. Got there to find out the server had given away our table and then got told we had to sit on stools in the bar area, even though we could clearly see many tables available. No apology or any attempt to accommodate us. Terrible service at the bar, completely ignored for 20 minutes. Waiter at the table was miserable and the food arrived before the drinks. Food was ok. Overall won’t be going back. Far better places to eat in St Ives.

This was a great find. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We ordered for takeaway and the food was prepared very quickly. It was lovely and tasty and we will definitely visit again. Although we had a takeaway this time, the restaurant looked very inviting and we would love to try eating inside another time.

We had drinks here New Year’s Eve. The place was absolutely packed but the staff were superb. Really efficient and friendly and calm. A brilliant place to see in the new year.

We went with our two golden retrievers who received an equally amazing reception and service. The food was incredible strongly recommend the dirty fries, and the team working were exceptional, so friendly and happy! We had an amazing time, probably the best place I’ve eaten in Cornwall.

A MUST place to visit when in St Ives, the food was just what we wanted, well cooked and nicely presented. The staff went above and beyond to make us welcome, they couldn't have been more friendly. Very helpful with ideas of places in the area to visit while we're here. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been coming to The Hub since it opened in St Ives. We even rented out the upstairs for a pre-wedding get-together back in 2016. We used to rave on about how the food was brilliant, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere cozy and fun, but after many years of disappointment, it's not this way anymore. The food now is average. It's not bad, by any means, but it's nothing to write home about. The service has just gotten worse and worse over the years and the atmosphere is terrible, to be honest. The final straw was our meal tonight. With only 3 couples in the dining section, service was still slow and the music was too loud. My husband and I had eaten most of our meal before we could even flag down a staff member to ask for some vinegar as no one came to check on the table. We noticed no one checked on another couple as well who had sat down after us. And even with only three couples sat in the restaurant, after we asked for the bill, it still took about 5 minutes for a staff member to come around with a card machine. Unfortunately the service we had during our meal tonight has been reflective upon our previous visits as well. It seems the service has just gone downhill since the extension was added years ago and the staff just don't care very much any more. With that in mind, I think that this was our last meal at The Hub.

Great harbour views, good food, and excellent customer service from friendly staff.

What a treat to have breakfast here when visiting with family to meet up with friends. The Hub has always been a favourite but this was the first time I had been for breakfast. We sat out on the upstairs balcony with incredible views of St Ives harbour on a rare sunny and warm day in October. We all enjoyed our breakfasts and never once did we feel under pressure to have to leave. Looking forward to my next visit.

Been few times over a few years. Always good food with good portions with vegan options and friendly staff. Family and dog Friendly, too. It's worth a visit.

We visited The Hub while on our holiday last week and have nothing but positive things to say! We popped in to order takeaway and were treated so well by both members of staff who dealt with us (one who I believe to be the manager). Both my partner and I have dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble, a member of staff even nipped to a local shop to ensure we had gluten free buns for the burgers we ordered. Absolutely top service and the food was fantastic!! Would recommend visiting to anyone!

Lovely place to have breakfast quality ingredients! And smiling waitress.Only gave 3 for the atmosphere as a couple, same as ourselves in middle age, turned up with a dog, sat 1 down from us outside, and dog barked constantly! Spoilt the peace and quiet of St ives l! If you have a dog, then control it, even if it's barking! If you can't control it, don't have a dog! Simple!

Good god this place has taken a nose dive with food quality and portion sizes. I’ve had a few underwhelming meals here now, but this was the last, we won’t be back. It’s become a below average place for a burger, but there was a time when these guys were serving unbelievable food, first as a street vendor in Truro, which was just sublime, but for me they’ve never been able to recapture that quality as a dine in setup, which I guess was to be expected. The Korean burger used to be one of the flagship items on the menu, so big you couldn’t possibly manage fries, it was a meal in its own right and it was just outrageously good, every mouthful was just immense in flavour. What is now served is half the size, a tasteless, wet mess. The Korean sauce that made it all work was just a brown watery mess that pooled on the plate and soaked the bottom of the bun, there was even 2 slices of cucumber on top and smothered in some sort of cheese sauce. From what it was, to this, tragic! The fries felt like the sort of chips you get in a kebab shop, just cheap tasting overcooked fries with a spattering of parmesan and swimming in garlic butter. We’re a little bit gutted as we used to love coming here, but the quality has disappeared. Bookoos does it far better, I’m sorry to say. Service has always been good, quick to order, but the the food quality is 2/10 for me, at the most.

The food was absolutely unreal! We drove 290 miles for my partners birthday for a getaway and decided to go and get lunch. The hub did not disappoint and we wish we lived closer. Great service and definitely worth the money as you also get a lovely view of the harbour. Will definitely be returning, best food we’ve had in a long time!☺️

Amazing food, my favourite restaurant in St. Ives. We always eat here whenever we visit and the food never disappoints!! I had the Big Kahuna burger and it is outstanding.

Good reputable places. I am surprised by the quality of the burgers, they are very rich in taste and tasty. Chips are standard, however the Mother Clucker fries with chips are the best. I believe the chefs have different styles of making the food that gives a different taste. I had the mother Clucker again and I was very disappointed regarding the taste as it wasn't the same as the first time I had it. It is a rip off regarding the quantity, you order a burger that cost £12 and comes with no fries! I can understand that kind of price and portion in Centre London, but not in Cornwall area. I highly recommend mother Clucker which is chips covered with a delicious sauce. They start serving luck from 11:30am Burgers are good. I tried the OG burger. I would recommend this place but the mother Clucker fries is a MUST try, tell the chef to make sure it has more brown sauce!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My partner and I dined here two days ago and it has been an absolute nightmare since. Shortly after eating, my partner became violently ill and is still dealing with severe food poisoning. It’s been two days, and they're still sick! The food was clearly mishandled or contaminated, and it's beyond unacceptable. This isn’t just bad service – it’s a health hazard! We trusted this place to serve safe, quality food, but instead, we’ve been left dealing with an ongoing health crisis. I highly urge anyone considering eating here to think twice. We’ve been through enough suffering, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone else. Thanks for ruining my holiday and all the activities I had booked and paid for in advance that I can’t get a refund on!

Can't pick your table and hard work to get food so left

Went yesterday had the big kahuna burger it was one of the best I have ever tasted, the onion rings are as big as ring doughnuts, the portions are very generous . staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs will definitely go again

A little disappointed with our latest visit - It was quite busy so hopefully it was just because of how busy it was. The beef burger was good however when the skin on fries arrived it felt like we were living during a potato famine. (They were also less seasoned than previously). For the vegans amongst us although there were options but not an awful lot

We ate on Wednesday the 21st August. Fabulous welcome from walking through the door, and full gluten free menu. My son who is celiac didn’t have to compromise on his choice of meal. Plus, best burger I have eaten in a long time. Defo returning before the end our stay in St Ives.

Great views and food was super tasty. Service was a little slow given that it was quiet but I would definitely come back for the yummy food!

We found our saviour in Hub St Ives, when we mistakenly assumed we would find dinner options past 9pm in the otherwise very busy touristic resort of St. Ives, only to discover most places closed or not accepting food orders. The Hub was already winding down but the manager allowed us to put in a last order. The service was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. The burgers we tried were all quite good, with juicy patties and tasty flavour combinations. While they didn't hold together very well, we still enjoyed them very much. Fries were good as well though nothing remarkable. Overall a good food offering, super central location and friendly staff made this a good choice for us.

Nice view, delicious burgers but for the price of 13.95 the burger is way too tiny.

Beautiful place. We just had drinks but excellent chocolate milkshake and beer/alcohol choice. Also dog friendly!

Delicious food and great service

Very badly run!! Be wary - lovely view, nice staff, but poorly run and food not as advertised. Breakfast shown as all day, but in fact finishes at 12 and staff didn't tell us. Arrived approx 11.30 & ordered pancakes. Different staff member came back 10mins later saying they had no pancakes. Ordered one breakfast course, then my wife ordered eggs at 12pm, and they took the order, but then they wouldn't serve me the same at 12.05 - despite the fact we were already sitting and eating breakfast!

Brilliant views and s great place for a snack and a drink. Good choice of burgers even if bit overpriced UPDATE: Wow what an improvement since my last review 7 years ago. Been here a few times since then and the burger's are alot better both beef and chicken. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for lunch and got a window seat which was stunning! Burgers were okay but expensive for £13 with no chips. This was an extra £5. Kids meal was basic to say the least. We had to ask for the kids ice cream, they had run out of ice cream at 1.30pm on a Wed so waited while someone popped out! Kids meal is £10 for a main, drink and ice cream cone. Bill came to £55 ish for x2 burgers, x1 chips to share, Kids meal and x2 pints. Food came out in 5mins after ordering. Service was okay, had to ask for the bill and out plates tried to get cleared while we were still eating. If it wasn't for the view I wouldn't return! It's on par with the Balcony Restaurant to be honest.

The food tasted yummy. They took forever to come get our order and took longer to get our food. The food was nice. Dirty fries were the best. I would recommend this place, but maybe just call the waiter if you are ready with your order. If not, be prepared to wait and hope they look your way. 😅

The best burger I’ve had anywhere, full stop. Came a few years ago and wasn’t sure if it was the fact that covid had starved us of eating out experiences, made it feel better than it was. Returned today and the burger was out of this world. Incredible flavour and juiciness. Love this place. 😁

Great lunchtime deal, choice of burger, fries and a drink, arrived freshly cooked and hot within 10 minutes of ordering, all for under a tenner (although we added spirits to our soft drinks for a little extra, which staff were happy to accommodate) Would definitely recommend

After having an awful evening back in April for my partner’s birthday, Hub invited us back to give us a better experience than the last and it really did exceed our expectations! We went there not expecting a lot due to the previous bad management and service that we had experienced before, but we were greeted by lovely members of staff and we couldn’t have asked for more. The service was great, food was fab and it was a great touch that the new general manager spoke to us about our previous visit and how things were really looking to change for the better; that the aim is to look after locals as much as they do the tourists, and making Hub what it used to be! Lovely to hear and it gave us hope that when we dine here again, we will have more of the positive experiences! Glad we gave them a second chance and would definitely come back😃 hoping that this is the standard expectation for Hub now🤞

Had dinner here with the family. Very friendly staff and fantastic food. Delicious chicken burgers with a twist from what you normally get. Great options for the kids also. And stunning views of the harbour at St Ives. Dog friendly also. We were able to bring the dog inside and upstairs to the balcony.

Located off a busy street, this place was fine. The drinks were inventive but even with half the tables empty, the staff seemed like they were so stressed they couldn't stop to even breathe. From the hostess to the servers and bartenders, every person looked so busy the entire time I was there that it was difficult to even order a drink. I would have possibly ordered food but the drinks took so long that I gave up on that idea and ended up eating somewhere else.

Taking our 7 year son who is coeliac out for dinner can be hard. This place was great. Done a bit of research before our holiday and this place seemed to come up for GF food. Great burger and chips he had! Loved it. Thanks guys.

The restaurant itself with atmosphere and everything is really nice, the staff is also really friendly which is great. Also the food was really nice but oh my word the Price/food amount ratio is absurd. Ordered a burger which only came as itself on the plate and also a plate of cheesy fries thinking it was going to be a plate full of fries with cheese but no it was about 6 cheese strips for £8. In total over £20 for one average sized burger with a small amount of cheese strips and a water. Don’t get me wrong the food was absolutely banging but just too small portions for such a high price.

Takeaway chicken burgers were superb - Honey C was special. Menu has variety too.

Food was really good, sat overlooking the harbour, dog friendly, service was a let down. They were great for the first 20 minutes but as soon as we finished our mains they cleared plates, didn't offer a dessert menu, ask if we wanted anymore drinks or speak to us at all. We wanted to order dessert but after being ignored for 25 minutes we asked for the bill and left

The food was tasty, delicious in fact, the location is very good too. Prices are fair considering it is on a main street in beautiful St Ives overlooking the harbour. 4 stars only because the ice cream desserts are two normal scoops for £4.95 each!! We might well call in again but the expensive ice cream is definately off the menu.

Our go to place when looking for breakfast or a meal in St ives. As always, a great reception and service. This time the Cornish Breakfast wasn't quite as epic as before but still very nice. We'll be back again soon. 4july24 - another good visit, great reception, and seated quickly with options of where to sit, which is appreciated when the party consists of 4 adults and 3 dogs. 4x fry up delivered quickly, faster than the drinks! Polite but not the friendliest of service, all good and can't complain at anything. Will definitely be back soon.
