Hub Box Pentewan in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

The food is absolutely amazing every time I’ve been there food has always been the best. The staff there are awesome always welcoming. This is the place I’d highly recommend for a coffee catch up or a date night.

Great service, all the staff very friendly and attentive and a lovely venue, but very overpriced. Paying £13-15 for a burger, very tasty don't get me wrong but not a huge portion, and fries are NOT included. £4-5 for fries or £10 loaded fries. Again, all very tasty but wouldn't rush back purely down to the price vs the portions. Nice touch adding to the menu where the meat and bread comes from though.

Super burgers 🍔 and good ale/lager. Can highly recommend.

I’ve been to lots of the Hubbox venues and previously worked for the company so know it well! The food is always excellent, we decided against burgers this time and got a selection of sides and all of them were absolutely delicious 😋 my favourite is the Mother Clucker fries, so good!! The only thing that let this visit down was the service. I ordered a Diet Cola, but it just tasted like fizzy water and was not nice at all. 😣 I brought it up with two members of staff and they just rudely told me it was off brand and that’s why it tasted bad, and I had to push to get it swapped out for something drinkable. Felt a bit like pulling teeth when speaking to the staff, I can only assume they get this complaint a lot and are sick of hearing it! 😂 All in all, food was 5 star, service not so much!

Burgers are up there with the best I’ve ever had! This place is such a gem. You can feel the soft white sand between your toes and enjoy views over the bay… all while eating a delicious burger.

First time eating here as we've only used Truro in the past but the food as service is just a good, spot on!

Walked the coastal path to reach here from Mevagissey and it was worth it! Food was great, as we’d read, and service was friendly.

We had a lovely breakfast here right on the sea front with the most amazing sea view!! Lovely staff too. Thank you :)

Not great food I’m afraid. The burgers were so squashed (smashed) that it was like a burnt crisps. I had a “double” cheese burger, which was a poor double cheeseburger. I understand it’s “smashed” but this is ridiculous. I sent mine back and had another that was exactly the same so ended up having no food and eating from the chip shop on the campsite. We’ve eaten in Hubbox plenty of times in Cardiff restaurant and have never had such poor food. Would not go back here.

Great food, speedy service and helpful, kind staff and perhaps one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but I advise anyone to book in advance, it also offers great sea views of Pentewan Beach.

We popped down for a holiday to Cornwall and popped in here for some dinner on one of the nights. The food was delicious, served hot and the service was great. Would definitely recommend going here!

Great experience all round. Lovely friendly, efficient and helpful staff in a location right by the beach. My Nashville spicey chicken (special of the day ) was delicious. If there are any problems, the management go out of their way to make things right - can't ask for more!

This was our first meal here despite visiting the site every year. My kids have enjoyed the take away milkshakes on the beach before but we’ve not eaten. We booked in advance and managed to get the best table by the window overlooking the beach. There is no better view - beautiful. The smash burgers were given the title of “best burger we’ve ever had” from all the diners in our group. The food was served in good time, was freshly made, presented well and the service from our waitress was great. We will definitely now return each year.

Best bit about the place is it's on the beach.

Fab food, fab atmosphere and the stagg were great. Really good value for money too.

Booked a table but had to wait 20 mins to start to be served the staff were polite but the burger I ordered was smothered in American mustard which I do like but not that much which was a disappointment

Fantastic food offered at the hub box, we had food over three days whilst on site at Pentewan Sands holiday park. It’s a shame there isn’t one near Norfolk, was served by two friendly staff And a really talented chef guy. Never had onion rings like these at the hub box every mouthful was delicious the smashed patty burgers were perfect the flavours all complimented each other. If you are staying here, local or just passing by do stop off! We are back off to Norfolk and I can already see myself dreaming of the burgers and onion rings whilst I’m out in the road working away once again. Top work guys!!

If you are staying at the Pentewan campsite, don't eat at their overpriced eateries, eat and drink here instead. 1000% better in every way.

Great food at an amazing location. The staff is super kind and friendly. It is a quaint little place just on the beach with beautiful lights and windows overlooking the ocean. The food is fairly priced and had great taste. I had the Nacho Libre Vegan Burger along with spicy French Fries and both tasted amazing and well made ☺️ There is parking of Pentewan Sands Holiday Park on location - which is free after 7pm and is Available for couple of months during the year.

We were happy to find Hub Box, all four of us enjoyed our burgers with dirty fries and other sides. The service was friendly and helpful, the food came quickly and was all very good for a junk food fix. There was a good selection of vegan options, and between us, we tried most of them. Prices were very good 👍🏽

Always a lovely place to eat, and just a lovely location to sit and enjoy. The burgers and dirty fries are always bang on - and they have a great range of both alcoholic and soft drinks.

Brilliant place for a meal, the burgers are to die for and the service is fast & friendly. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and the view we had from a booth was ideal, straight on to the beach. We will definitely be returning.

Popped in for a burger and chips after a nice swim in the sea at Pentewan and thoroughly enjoyed everything they served up. I chomped my way though the Kim yum chick burger, dirty fries, Carolina slaw and some Mac and cheese and everything was sublime. Absolute culinary perfection.

Where better to go on either a sunny or wet day. Views across the bay. Great service and food to match. Nothing too much trouble. Going back asap.

Tasty burger but was smaller than I expected. The burgers looked a lot bigger when eating in but maybe they get squashed when they are wrapped up. I ordered a double cheese burger at £12.95 and I was still hungry. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Excellent choice of vegan and vegetarian options!! The Korean ch!ck burger was divine!! I LOVED that there was such a choice of burgers- just like the meat options! Wish everywhere did this!!

We've been coming here for years and the food just gets better and better. Amazing burgers and the buttermilk chicken is to die for. I'm not a fan of the loaded fries though, the Hub sauce is more like a salad dressing than a burger sauce for me, go for the cheese fries instead, that are amazing.

I've been here a few times, unfortunately on the last visit the food was served cold. It was changed, though, for fresh just meant that everyone else had finished eating when the hot replacement meal came out again. Lovely view out onto the beach, though.

Absolutely excellent food. If I'm honest, we didn't have great expectations when we went in , but we were all extremely pleasantly surprised. They also have a pretty good selection of veggie and vegan food.

It's especially rewarding to find such great food and service in unpretentious places. A little beach hut on Pentewan Bay hides the best burgers in southern England. The Kahuna is my favourite, but they are all great tasting, well served by a great team of friendly staff. Thank you

Highly recommended for excellent quality food and exceptional staff. I visited yesterday and received fantastic service, especially from Matt and Issy. They checked on us throughout the evening, ensuring we were enjoying the food, offering drinks, and removing glasses and plates. To sum it up, there is clearly something great going on here, and the staff should be commended for their care and attention to quality customer service and for creating a stellar experience.

Great overall experience food is well made and nice. Staff tired but still cracking. A smile at the end of a busy day. Nice atmosphere towards closing and what a view! Recommend people try it at least once.

To top off a fabulous day kayaking in the sea was going to this place, the food is unreal.. could of ate 2 meals tbh. Proper hidden lil gem

A great bar and restaurant right on the beach, inside Pentewan Sands camp site. Possibly the best burgers I've ever tasted, and a superb selection of vegetarian/vegan meals too.

My wife & i are in process of moving to cornwall very good friend of ours that we where staying with & is local, recomended here for us, great food was right on the sea front really enjoyed it, going again in 3 weeks for fortnight holiday and planning on taking the kids

Tried to go for food but were extremely disappointed on two counts. One - you have to pay for parking on site. Two - we were turned away because dogs weren't allowed anywhere on the campsite or beach. Wasted journey.

Great location for a burger. Great selection of dirty burgers, hotdogs, fries... Very friendly and helpful staff. And prices are pretty standard.

Fantastic place with incredible positioning on the beach. It used to be open fronted onto the beach but now enclosed to allow more all weather seating. Always benches on the sand available. Amazing Milkshakes and epic dirty fries. Adults food appears a higher standard than child's though so we will share next time.

Can't rave enough about this place - their food is spot on and although prices seemed a bit above your average fast food joint, the service and quality far exceeded our expectations! As a holiday maker I visited Hubbox many times when in the area, and now we're local this is one of our firm favourites.

Staff always friendly and great food

The food here is amazing if you like burgers, chips and takeaway food. The location is stunning as it is right on the beach in the Pentewan Sands Holiday Park. The only issue is that locals are allowed to visit this camp site restaurant and cause trouble as well as make a lot of noise and block the exits. This doesn't happen very often though.

Takeaway ordered and visiting from another caravan park, front desk/security happily allowed to park in front to walk down and collect. Food was superb, couldn't fault it.

If you like a burger, then this is where you need to go

Good food, good views, good drinks all for a reasonable price. If you're in the area 100% worth checking out.

Nice cup of coffee overlooking the beach. Friendly if rather slow service. Why not 5 stars? It costs £1.50 per hour to park near there so, by the time you've walked the dog, the trip becomes a little pricey

Was down in Newquay visiting family and went out for lunch at the hub box what a great little place right on the beach great service and great burgers Unfortunately it was raining so did not venture on to the beach patio But all in all a great place

Travelled 40+ miles to get here Wouldn't take an order in person just said we had to use some app No signal in Cornwall so couldn't get the app to work Lady just says she has lots to do and basically couldn't be asked to serve us so never got to try the hubbox Also the prices are extremely high so you would expect brilliant service. Never ordered as couldn't get access to app and the WiFi doesn't work Waste of time and Appalling service!! Lost my business and wasted my £3 on parking Absolute joke ! Don't deserve 1 star

food was great. service was prompt with good humour. all of us are from hospitality ourselves and really enjoyed having ethan/rob as our server. made us giggle a lot and great at upselling until we can’t eat anything else. overall. ethan. your cool.
