Service was as quick, attentive and polite as you’d hope for without being overbearing at all. Food was exceptional (large full English breakfast, only for big appetites) and was very quick out of the kitchen even though all clearly freshly cooked! Wife had the veggie Spanish breakfast (can’t remember the name but egg on top of Smokey beans, peppers etc…) and that was equally as lovely according to her

Best breakfast I have had. Quality ingredients and lots of it. Homemade beans were delightful. The staff were also amazing. If I lived in Sheffield I would be here all the time.

Firstly, the warm welcome at HowSt is next to none. It was such a wonderful greeting and atmosphere to walk into, especially as I was struggling to think where to go for breakfast on my own. I had the veggie breakfast special, extremely generous portions, I was impressed that everything was home made from the hummus to the baked beans. Make sure you are really hungry when you visit because it really is worth it. I wanted to say a special thank you to Marianna and Jo as they were really attentive and engaging but in general the whole team was incredible, you have really created something rather special. I will definitely be back and I’m excited to tell more people about this hidden gem.

My son and I were looking for breakfast in Sheffield before Bramall Lane in the afternoon and an early Christmas meal in the evening. We thought we’d give this a try and it was very good indeed. It’s a nicely turned-out cafe, very friendly. Food was excellent. We had the big breakfasts (which are very substantial) while coffee, toast and service were good too. All very nice. I’d definitely go again.

Fabulous food and a great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend the 'Shroom'. All of the food enjoyed by our group was excellent. Service with a smile too.

Segunda vez visitando Howst con mi pareja. Fantástica comida, excelentes precios y un servicio brillante. Tomamos los desayunos vegetales con tocino extra (tehe) , y luchamos por terminar; lo más destacado son sus increíbles frijoles caseros y pan de granero fresco. ¡Esperamos visitar de nuevo!

Almuerzo sin fondo con Lizzie, Marianne y Harry, ángeles absolutos que no dejaron que nuestras bebidas tocaran fondo y eran tan encantadores. No podría haber pedido un mejor servicio😘😘😘 Ustedes merecen el mundo (estoy un poco borracho, pero ustedes eran 10 / 10 muchas gracias)

Increíble desayuno inglés completo. Personal muy amable y servicial. Feliz de personalizar para alergias (tengo un montón! ). Y todo se ha hecho fresco en orden. Volveré. totalmente recomendable 👍🏻

Este es un gran hallazgo no demasiado lejos de la estación de tren. excelente servicio, buena comida con excelentes precios. ¿Qué es lo que no te gusta? bien hecho a todos los involucrados.

Quería dejar una reseña debido a la experiencia molesta que tuvimos aquí. (3 adultos, un niño, un cochecito) No nos dieron una mesa dentro porque "no había espacio" al principio, pero mientras esperaba vimos dos mesas vacías que podrían habernos sentado y una con 6 personas en ella que luego se fue mientras esperábamos, así que le señalamos a la camarera que había un montón de espacio dentro, ella entonces dijo que solo espere un minuto y regresó para decir, lo siento no, no podemos encajar. . de nuevo apenas hay clientes dentro, así que dije ok, entonces, ¿podemos sentarnos fuera, por favor, ya que había un montón de espacio fuera y ella dijo que no lo siento, así que pregunté por qué? Teníamos un amigo de América, queríamos llevarlo a un lugar diferente para experimentar, 1 niño hambriento y si el cochecito era un problema para dentro estábamos más que felices de comer fuera . . ella entonces dijo que no lo siento, simplemente no tenemos el personal para "tratar contigo". . dije que no tienes casi nadie dentro y no puedes servirnos fuera porque no tienes personal? Ella dijo que sí siento que no tenemos a nadie para "tratar contigo" (simplemente me sentí un poco grosero para ser honesto). incluso después de que wed visto mesas terminan y se van para que tuvieran más disponibilidad. En ese momento, se sentía muy personal, ya que simplemente no nos querían allí, ¿era el niño? Porque se portó tan bien que lo bendiga, muy paciente mientras esto sucedía. Así que en la confusión empezamos a alejarnos preguntándonos por qué demonios no estábamos bien para comer allí para dar la vuelta y algunas damas estaban sentadas enseguida en la mesa que podría habernos puesto. ¿Me dejó realmente molesto ser honesto porque se sentía tan personal? No recomendaría a las familias venir aquí.

Initially stopped for a coffee, sat enjoying the sun and atmosphere, decided to stay for lunch. Good strong coffees, lovely food and super friendly staff. Nothing more can be said other than “try it”.

My veggie adult daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful outdoor breakfast and excellent coffee here last month. Really friendly staff, great menu. Our only regret was missing out on the weekend brunch and cocktail menu!

Came here for Breakfast with my wife. On arrival there was a large wait of peope waiting for tables to free up and the staff were friendly and kept us informed. We decided to join the queue and after around 10 minutes we were seated, don't let the queue on the wall put you off there is a quick turnaround on tables. We both had a cuppa tea followed by the smashed and a full meaty breakfast and we finished with iced coffee to takeaway. We were impressed by the organisation and friendliness of all the staff, the food was fresh and enjoyable and the price was very fair. A great example of why you should always support little gems like these, fresh food and made to feel like a valued customer. Whenever we return to Sheffield we'll come and visit, for those that live local keep supporting it 👍.

Lovely little cafe, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Sheffield.

We come to Howst regularly and it never fails to amaze us. Food is made fresh to order and the portion sizes are super generous.Mine and my partners food was delicious. Staff were very kind .We brought our puppy with us today and staff were lovely and accommodating. They got our puppy a bowl of water and even treated her to a sausage. WOULD RECOMMEND !

The food is brilliant, great breakfast menu with large portions and decently priced. Lovely atmosphere and whoever is incharge of the playlist has fantastic music taste.

Fresh, high quality, top notch food and cocktails. Went in a group of 4 ladies for the bottomless brunch. The service was fantastic, the staff were very attentive and helpful. We could choose anything from the entire menu to eat, all our options were very very good. The cocktail / drink choice was great and they were superb quality. Can't wait to go again.

It was Mother's Day 2024. My request? To have lunch at Howst. Disappointed? Impossible. The staff and food always make it worth our drive from Nottingham. Thank you!

Visited yesterday for all day breakfast, couldn’t finish it, it was massive! Very tasty, all cooked fresh, choice of granary or normal bread was a nice touch! Only thing o would suggest is maybe do a mini breakfast for those with lighter appetites? Place was spotless and staff were very welcoming, will definitely return when I’m next in Sheffield

Very close to the station. This cafe served the most generous breakfast ever, lots of choice, very welcoming and kind service, and good prices. What else can I say ? We would definitely go there again next time we visit Sheffield.

Absolutely spot on! We both had a large breakfast that didn’t disappoint. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We arrived 15 mins after opening and so glad we did as it soon becomes busy. We will be back soon and would like to try the bottomless brunch.

We were on our way to the sration to catch the train back to London and were just going to have lunch before we left - what a find! we had delicious flat white coffee and the veg and the chorizo hash with a chunk of bread - it was just what we needed and tasted great and a really good portion. We were served by Mariana, Stu, Gracie and Lucy and would certainly revisit. They have upstairs seating too if it looks full downstairs.

Easiest review I've ever had to make. If you are in the area and don't visit this cafe you are missing out. Fresh food cooked perfectly. great staff and lovely background music. I would absolutely visit here again. I was served by Lucy who made me feel very welcome so thank you.

Fantastic place for brunch, delicious food, great value and friendly staff. Also great gluten free options that, for once, are not a sad substitute for the regular choices. Will definitely be back 😀

Excellent, super enjoyable lunchtime, delicious food, lovely quiet place, such nice staff as well as being efficient!. We went again in December - another most enjoyable lunch. Thank you, we will certainly be visiting again soon!

Not been here before but wanted some brunch & the usual suspects all very busy. Staff are very friendly and seem well organised. Sat at a nice table and service was good. OH had a bacon sandwich (v good) and I had smashed avo. Only slight criticism was that the avocado was really cold - could do with being out of the fridge, and another slice of toast would have been appreciated as the avo portion was large and had nothing left to eat it with so ended up leaving some. Coffee was really good. Would recommend and will visit again when in town and try lunch.

Been to Howst a few times now and it never disappoints. Great food, lovely customer service and a nice place to go to. Special shout out to Stuart, Mari, Lizzie and Harry, who worked really hard on a very busy day! Thank you all, we will be back soon!

There are so many places now that will Serve a full English for about £10 and they are average at best. And i live in the food vacuum known as South Lincolnshire. So at £13.50 I was expecting I was expecting something better than the normal. We were not disappointed. We got there 15 minutes after it opened on a Sunday morning. We were told the food is cooked to order so there will be a wait time. 15 minutes later they had filled all their tables and people were being told they would have to wait for a table. So be aware that it is very popular. There is a reason for that. To be honest the wait for food was not that long, probably because we were early on a Sunday. But definitely worth a try. The food is amazing, the service was good and the venue is pleasant and central. All the food on the plate top quality stuff and the portion size was plenty good enough. We walked away "delighted" with a memorable moment of proper good food in a nice place. As i mentioned earlier there are so many places that will sting you £10 for a plate for of the cheapest products the wholesaler has to offer and a pretty dismal experience. These guys are on another level!! Totally worth the money. Totally happy customer and fantastic start to the day. I could right a review on the homemade beans alone. They were fantastic. It is great to see this place going the extra mile to set itself above the rest. Their "5" rating is earned and deserved And thankfully, not a hash-brown in sight

Best brunch I've had in sheffield! I had eggs Royale which had a generous portion of salmon and was delicious! My partner really enjoyed his eggs Beni which again had a healthy portion of bacon. Great service also we will definitely be back soon!

We booked for bottomless brunch, I would have loved the food and experience as much even without the wine! Superb friendly service (our luggage was even stored away for us) and even better food. The only issue we had was what to choose from the menu as it all sounded amazing. I went with the vegetarian breakfast and was so pleased I did, it was beautifully prepared and tasted even better than it looked. The home made baked beans were so good its making my mouth water whilst typing. Why can't this be closer to my home!!!! I would be a firm weekly customer if so, most certainly in the top five breakfasts of my life. If you are going to Sheffield even for a day, this is a definite must.

We were so pleased to have had breakfast here rather than at our hotel. I had the 'Ole' (chorizo and bean) and my wife had the 'Andy Hash'. Excellent quality and very filling. The staff were very friendly. Next time we're in Sheffield we'll definitely be back.
