By far our favourite takeaway restaurant. The food is so tasty! The service is on point and the staff is always so helpful with our orders. Definitely recommend!

We ordered over £120 worth of food from here last night at peak time. Overall really impressed! It took only 45 minutes and the staff were really friendly and efficient. However the chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce were awful - the batter was so soggy and undercooked. There was also too little fillings in the special fried rice and the rice appeared just boiled rather than fried! All other dishes were excellent though and therefore we will order again!

I ordered from this place more than twice now and has always been great and was impressed. The delivery was always on time, and the portions were large, I was really satisfied. The dishes, from spring rolls to the chicken kung pao , were delicious and authentic. The staff were friendly. Overall, it's a five-star choice for anyone craving tasty Chinese food and reliable service.

Hoviwa is by far the best Chinese in Enfield, the food is always tasty and generous, the staff are super friendly and polite and they honestly do the best crispy prawns with salt and garlic chilly that I've ever tried anywhere!

Ordered a fried rice it looks horrible and full with no taste and on top the fried duck chow Mein was burnt . On top I have to modify my fried rice and looks better .

Disgusting place! I waited 2.5 hours for food from this hell hole. I tried calling numerous times and it just rang, finally I was told 5 minutes. 30 mins later i called again and was now told the driver was lost. This was a lie. The driver turned up and said it was just busy!! The order had items missing and the food was disgusting...worst chinese food I've ever had!!! No joke! Disgusting. Made us all sick - large party/large order (£60) seriously disgusting!!!! We were all starving after a 2.5hr wait but couldn't eat it as it was so bad.

This used to be my local food place I used to order 2x week for the past 3 years turns out till today they’ve left me down I’ve waited 1:45mins for them to call me saying their still 10 mins away and if I am not happy with this they will cancel the order I believe I spoken the the owners son which was very unprofessional whatsoever I would not recommend this place don’t bother you’ll wait forever for your food

Absolutely awful! Food used to be good a few years ago but not anymore. Now serving stale reheated food that is just vile. Spent over £16 and had to throw it all in the bin. They've lost a customer and I'm sure with this unacceptable level of service, they won't be around for very much longer.

Been using these guys for years now, never fault. Food is always delicious and the smallest mistake (let's face it we're humans, it happens) they correct it quickly and make up for it. Partner got a dish and message on the house for his Birthday. 100% recommended

We tried to order online but the website kept messing up so we called to order. The woman that answered the phone was rude. We told her that we don’t have cash and asked if we could pay by card on the phone. She was rude so we hung up because we did not want to use their service anymore.

Amazing vegetarian options and portion sizes are very generous. Quick delivery and delicious food! I ordered and paid online on their website and received a text and email confirmation within a minute when they started preparing my food along with the expected time to collect.They called me when the food was ready to collect which was nice too! Lovely service and the food was amazing (get the veggie spring rolls, trust me!). I live closeby and saw the place had been renovated as it looked really clean when I went in.

We have used Hoviwa for many years and have always had good food,. However after Friday we will not eat here again. We waited for an hour and fifteen minutes and when it did arrive the food was awful. The Crispy duck had no crisp, no taste, was very fatty and barely filled door pancakes, the sweet and sour chicken balls had thick soggy batter and the sauce was runny, garlic pepper chicken was also soggy and tasted awful. I have emailed Hoviwa using their contact form and have not had a response. Overall very disappointed

Just the loveliest people! They were very busy, when they arrived they gave us extra food and were so apologetic, even though we completely understood it was a busy night! Just a delightful restaurant team, and the food was also delicious! 10/10, will definitely order again.

Since the opening after refurbishment last year, all the food feels fresh in this local Chinese take-away. Such a great place to have around, all staff are nice and professional. Good quality food, value for money and lovely customer service!

Absolutely love the food order almost on a weekly basis, 2 stars because for some reason their minimum order now on just eat is £25 and there are just two of us so we won't spend that much. It's unfortunate we cannot order from here anymore as we usually do due to this.

By far the best Chinese takeaway restaurant in Enfield! I have been eating from here for many years. Hoviwa is a great little family run business, the staff are always friendly, food is always made on time for collection. The food is always cooked fresh, with good meat and vegetables (unlike some other Chinese restaurants I have tried in the area) Recently it was clear to see they had been through a lot when a car drove into the restaurant, probably putting a lot of financial pressure on the family as they were closed for a good few months, although they are back in business now and food and service is still good as ever!

Excellent quality Chinese food. A little pricier than others that are local but trust me the difference in price is definitely worth it once you taste the food. Seems healthier than other Chinese takeaways I frequent and a lot fresher than some others that are local.

Food ordered at 450pm, arrived at 625pm. All food delivered although correct was poorly salted (not enough), hot and sour soup contained no salt and was too hot. Spare ribs contained no seasoning, large spring roll inedible, lemon chicken poor. Saying that the premade fortune cookie was fine. Further I was subject to a convoluted story about why the food was late etc. Avoid, or use the ‘Just eat’ app to order from them which I have used in the past and I received a completely different experience. The food was good and the delivery time short. Ordering directly from them will be a first and last.

Not sure about past reviewers, I don't recognise the negative experiences some people have had. I think the business has gone through a lot of change (I believe it was closed for a spell), and based on las night's meal, all I can say is it surpasses any local Chinese takeaway near me. Meal starter consisted of a few vegetable spring rolls - they were huge, and very tasty - plus one quarter aromatic duck, and Crispy Squid with Salt & Garlic Chilli (squid was delicious). The duck was fine, the only gripe we had was the relatively small number of pancakes supplied - I think we counted 7 in total, which wasn't enough frankly, 10-12 would make more sense. Mains: I'l just write about mine, which was Shredded Crispy Chilli Beef (pictured). This dish is the one I tend to gauge a Chinese takeaway/restaurant by, my go-to, as it were. And I have to say, it definitely passed, it's just a very tasty dish with just the right flavours and crispiness. The Egg Fried Rice I ordered gets added to the container alongside the beef, which though unusual in my book, doesn't ultimately take away from the overall experience. The rest of the family had different dishes and everyone was unanimous in their view that this takeaway was a good pick, and would be used again. Cost-wise, it was quite reasonable, with only a modest delivery charge (which, considering we'd never realistically drive to it, was just fine by me), and I think between ordering online via Just Eats and arrival, took perhaps 40-45mins (on a Friday evening) - can't complain about that! So my advice is: give it a try, you might be surprised by how good this place is.

Disgusting food very disappointed, ordered Thai red chicken curry and egg fried rice, the curry was watery with about 6 bayleafs in it and other crunchy manky stuff (no i5 wasn't water chestnuts) Egg fried rice was bland and tasted odd with no egg in it I wouldn't eat here

First time ordering tonight and was thoroughly impressed. Delivery was half an hour, notes left for driver were followed and honoured, food was piping hot and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. Oh and I got 20% off my order online. Terrific

On the occasions i have gone against my better judgment and ordered always disappointed. They wrote down my credit card details on paper i only found out after having to call them waiting almost 2 hrs to be told that she wrote the numbers down wrong . The food came and it was all wrong.

Literally couldn't even eat the food. It was so shocking! One of us had allergies so I wrote under comments not to add something into the food and they ignored it. Food took SO long! If you like edible food this definitely isn't the place for you.

Very quick survice and I love their crispy aromatic duck! Unfortunately most of their noodle dishes (at least the ones I've tried) taste the same to me, but they're still good.

I am not impressed by the service. My food was due 35 mins ago ( I've been waiting an hour before this!) I have tried to call both numbers only to be met with a voice mail or an engaged number. Sort your business out. Ps I have finally got through and they wouldn't even offer me a discount or a complimentary dish/prawn crackers. I won't be ordering from you again!

We used to eat quite a lot of Chinese food before we moved to Enfield but after some disappointing greasy and boring meals gave up and startered ordering from few good Indian restaurants. This restaurant has some bad reviews so we were nervous about trying it but were pleasantly surprised as all the dishes we tried were tasty and meet tender and plentifyl. Delivery time was about 30 min (we were told 45mins when ordering) so we do not have any complaints. Either we were lucky or they have improved. We will try them again and I will update if anything changes.

Very nice food and very good service. Ordered through hungry house and when arrived the container for soup was broken and soup leaked out. But they later called back and offered to redeliver the soup again for free, and on top of it they included extra dishes as well. Thanks a lot and food is delicious and definitely will order again.

Made an order at 21:05 on Sunday night. Estimated delivery was 22:20 (too long any way but thought they were being conservative. Food hadn't arrived by 22:35 so called and was told it was on the way. called back 5 mins later and was told another ten mins. Long and short of it they knocked 15% off the bill, but who really wants to sit down to a Chinese at 23:00 on a Sunday? Not me. Food: Food was Above average. Double cooked pork and special rice, decent, nice flavour, plenty pork. Special noodles with gravy also decent. Battered prawns were OK, just OK. Not sure why they all put sliced and fried onions with the salt and chilli- maybe to fill it out. They just end up sweating and making everything a little watery when it should be dry and crispy. Speaking of dry and crispy- the 'Mongolian lamb' was pretty bad. Very dry, extremely greasy, deep fried beyond belief. No flavour.

First time I've ordered from this place and I actually received a wrong order which did spoil the evening. Salt and pepper squid needed salt and guess what, pepper! Apart from that the food seemed very average, nothing exceptional.

I've been ordering food from here since last year. This year I've had the same delivery driver for the most part. He arrived almost 30 minutes late and because something hadn't been crossed out with a pen on the receipt to show that I'd payed for it, had me standing at the door for 5 minutes whilst he tried to get in touch with the restaurant to confirm that I had indeed payed for it. The food was delicious as always.

The noodles were too oily. The spring rolls hardly had any filling in them and when it arrived the food was luke warm. Not impressed with the food.

Just love this place! It's hard to find a good one these days. No complaints here 👌🏼
