The delivery was extremely late, he rocked up smoking a tab in his car and my partners food was dreadful. We chose to ignore the reviews. DO NOT ignore the reviews.

I have ordered at 1.41 am and it’s 3.58 and still haven’t receive anything , I’ve tried calling them multiple times without any use

Don't order from here. Ordered on deliveroo at 20:00, was meant to arrive at 20:40 and didn't turn up till around 22:20! Tuned up cold and wasn't what was described on deliveroo. Would put zero stars if I could, don't waste your time and order from somewhere else.

Ordered at 11 on justeat, was told it would be about an hour. Hours had past, tried calling a couple times but the line wasn’t connecting. Woke up to him braying on the door past 3am after we had headed to sleep. The waffles were really quite nice, but the hot food was stone cold and soggy. The milkshake was literally milk with a tiny bit of sweet. The slush was pure syrup. Probably the worst take-away experience of my life

Ordered through Uber eats it’s said my delivery time would be 6:40-7:00pm the driver was late , when the food came it was stone cold. Don’t recommend this place

PLEASE don’t order from this restaurant i should ve check the reviews first but dumb me i ordered two milkshakes and one waffle at 11 ish and i got it at 2:30am!!! And it wss only one milkshake they kept saying its on the way and hanged up on me

Avoid like the plague. Never on time and send wrong items. Over an hour late ! Not worth the money. Also the driver tried to keep two of my items in the car to drive off and only gave me my milkshakes until I raised my voice and he checked the car seat only to have my food there. The whole thing has been a mess on

Actually shocked, ordered from uber eats at 12:15am, expected to arrive at 12:45-1:05am, as stated by the app 2:00am, no sign of delivery, nothing, i try calling the store, nothing, no answer, not even a single ring! food never came, not to mention it's massively overly priced, £1.80 for a can of pop? SO GLAD i got it cancelled and got my full amount of money back, major inconvenience and now i sit here hungry

Do not order from this place! Ordered tonight on Ubereats at 730pm. Delivery was meant to be between 2030 and 2050. At 2120 I had a silent call from an unknown number. Tried to call back but didn’t answer. When he did answer the driver said we didn’t answer the phone so he drove away and would be back when he was next in the area. The shop told us to wait and the driver would be back in 10-15 mins. Half an hour later stood outside in the cold and no driver came. Uber support agreed that it was an unacceptable and they cancelled the order. Absolute cowboys, Newcastle is full of good dessert companies, go and give them your business instead.

Ordered 2 and a half hours ago and hasn't shown up, called half an hour ago and was told 10-15 mins and still nothing

I ordered from uber eats, my delivery time was 21:40 but my order didn't arrive until 11:30. I tried contacting the restaurant multiple times with no answer. The food was very disappointing when it arrived and not worth the wait at all. Will not be ordering again unfortunately.

Absolutely amazing customer service it was absolutely delicious. We had a kinder bueno waffle and we asked for strawberries and they gave us them! We totally weren’t expecting it. It was just what we needed. Thank you so much too the team for the best Belgian waffle I’ve ever tasted. Keep up the good work

Food arrived an hour late. Ordered a vegan Burger, fries and a normal burger. Firstly received meat instead of vegan food, peri peri chips were revolting and other burger was soggy and grim

This place is an absolute disgrace! Ordered £50 worth of things at 00:30, and it didn’t arrive until 4:00. I rang the restaurant non stop but no answer, when the food finally arrived I asked why it took so long, and he completely ignored me. The food was stone cold and messy! They forgot half of the items and still wouldn’t give a refund. DO NOT order from here!!!

Ordered a cheesecake and ice cream of Uber eats without reading reviews- I was very shocked reading the reviews left and was not expecting my order to turn up! However, it did and the ice cream was amazing, the daim cheesecake was alright but not the best. It got delivered a few minutes after the scheduled time but I absolutely understood it was a Saturday and more than likely a busy night so was perfect timing. Thank you

Bubblegum icecream tasted awful and bitty and unlike any bubblegum icecream I’ve tasted before, cherry slush was not cherry more sour blackcurrant and intolerable and the vanilla shake was bland. And for £22 what a waste. Won’t be ordering from here again.

The worst customer service I’ve ever received. I ordered for take out, I was quoted 15-30 minutes. I heard nothing for 2 hours, called the restaurant EIGHTEEN times and still no reply, no explanation and no apology. Disgusting service.

Would give it 0 if I could, ordered with uber eats, arrived over an hour after estimated time. Ordered a kinder bueno munchie box which was described as 2x kinder bueno, 2x kinder donuts, 2x kinder cookies, 2x kinder cupcakes, 1x kinder cake slice. What actually came was 2 kinder buenos, a carrot cake cupcake, a red velvet cupcake, 2 chocolate chip cookies, 2 chocolate donuts and a chocolate cake slice. Also ordered a double decker milkshake which came as a normal milkshake with a frozen whole double decker bar inside of it? Pure laziness, definitely won’t be ordering again

i'm usually a person who has low standards for enjoying food, but this place really hit a new low to preface, DO NOT order from this place: regardless of if you're a sloppy eater, like me, and will eat basically anything in front of you - the food here is inedible. i ordered a slush, a waffle (salted caramel) a crepe (salted caramel) and a hotdog, so i've got quite an appetite for junk food even for junk food, the stuff i got was unbelievably bad. waffles - rubbery tasteless mush with hard uncomfortable toffee cubes and a disgusting, off salted caramel sauce crepes - the exact same except in a different shape - literally the same texture and taste, identical hotdog - came cold, way too smoky for a hotdog, gross amount of sauce slush (blue rasperry) - way too sweet AND sour, at once - it tastes like you're chugging double concentrate juice don't waste your money like i did, just have some self control at night and make yourself something. not worth the money.

If you want frozen burgers that look like slop and melted ice cream to arrive nearly an hour after it is expected and 90 mins after its marked for delivery at a premium price from a restaurant that won't answer then this is the restaurant for you. If you want food that's semi edible then I'd stay clear tbh.

Do not waste your money here, ordered a crepe and banana waffle, half the things were missing, black slime which what I presume was suppose to be the bananas, took over an hour to arrive, called to complaint and could here the manager in the background saying just take the number when someone called they hung up..

I have ordered from here 3 times in the last two weeks. The first two times great. But this waffle tonight was so dry it was meant to have caramel sauce on it. But there was non. I tried to call the shop but nobody answers. I phoned and phoned. I would have been happy with a replacement considering how much I’ve spent on deliveries this past week with them

Always order from here but I paid for ferraro sweet box that come with cheese cake and milkshake, I got everything apart from cheesecake and normal cake wouldn't mind so much but I ordered a burger and a hotdog and a separate milkshake so it wasn't a cheap order, iver tried ringing both numbers for the shop and nothing, was nice dining with you lot but yous cut a corner for either money or a quicker order... Disappointed tbh.

I ordered the cookie dough waffle sandwich and an ice cream sundae. I must say this is one of the best dessert places in the local area and it truly is a gem. The owners are very kind, and the story that comes with them touched my heart. I believe they’ve been running this store for over 50 years and their family have a background in desserts which goes back many generations. House Of Sweets originally launched in 1752 in a small village in France and eventually relocated to the booming business area in Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Just received my order and there is mold on the cup cake it's date says best before 30/05/22 absolutely disgusting stay away from this place

Ordered food and most came I was missing my Sunday and my cake box. Tried ringing the shop and there was no answer the first time and tried again picked up then hung up straight away.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The 3 stars food hygiene certificate says it all. Ordered on Ubereats and unless you want to to have hair in your food and have no one to listen to your complaint - go ahead and order. FYI - the drivers tend to be quite rude as well and have some kind of funny intimidating attitude at the door

Received all my items, the hotdog was absolutely banging even hoyed a few jalapeños on there for is, skittles milkshake is on point and the large cup of jellies are well worth the prize, order did arrive 15 minutes later than expected but not ***** about that as they seemed rushed🙌

Order at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and it’s now 8:45am and still no order,tryed ringing for 4 hours and no reply and no food. Also have not refunded my £30 so stay well clear of this place as worst service I’ve ever recieved.

Ordered 1 snickers box and 1 kinder Buenos. Described as containing , their respective donuts,cookies,cake and cupcakes. Instead was given oat and chocolate cookies,iced ring donuts froma supermarket,children's party cupcakes. Only thing which was as described was the chocolate bar.

If I could do a 0 star I would, don't even know where to start my food came cold and while eating I bit into a blood bogey, yes there was a bit of bloody snot in my crepe yes red not green. Really do not recommend if anything stay away!!

Ordered 2 milkshakes 1 regular and 1 vegan, as needed due to being lactose intolerant but when they arrived they had no description or label to identify them. Now unable to drink one, the other tastes bitter and nothing like the described item, the brownie was smashed and not worthy of the price.Tried phoning shop to no answer. Im not kidding when i say that was the worst food ive ever eaten. Id rather eat uncooked chicken. It was 2 hours late. I cant even describe how bad the taste was, my girlfriend and i had to spit the milkshakes (which were basically water) back out as soon as we tried them. The waffles were the blandest thing ive ever tasted and yet they still tasted out of date. Worst place ive ever ordered from, i dont even know how just eat have got this awful "resturant" on there app. Place should be shut down

Worst dessert ever! First time in Newcastle so first time getting dessert there and a total let down. Just not worth a single penny. Pretty sure the profiteroles were a day old and they just dumped half a can of whipped cream on top looked horrible when it arrived. Who eats a cold waffle sandwich ?? So don’t recommend the following - profiteroles, waffle sandwich, ice cream sandwich and bubblegum cake. Not impressed. Wasn’t even worth taking a photo off realised after we would have been better off making pancakes at home for dessert instead ….

Very disappointed.. We spent alot of money here last night. And our cheesecakes certainly didn't look like the one your advertising. They were all the same vanilla cheesecake, shop bought, with different toppings on top. We ordered a variety yet they all tasted the same. 😕 The sponge cake was the same ordered 2 different flavours yet both the same cake with a different topping on top and very dry. I think I will stick with deserts delivered next time. I know there cakes are all indivually made and are what they say they are. Attached a picture of what they advertise and what we actually got.

Where to start? I spend £25 on doughnuts, cheesecake, brownies and a shake for my Fiancées 19th birthday, and what shows up is completely shambolic! Not only were the doughnuts doused in white chocolate when I ordered glazed, everything was clearly SHOP. BAUGHT. The milkshake was watery and flavourless, the Dr Pepper that we ordered was meant to be cane sugar, and vanilla came, and the cheesecake was just rancid! I could not be more disappointed with my order, and this shop should be shut permanently! I gave this place the benefit of the doubt, despite its already diabolical reviews, but they are exactly what this place deserves! If I had the option to eat here for free, I'd turn you down. Thanks for nothing.

Absolutely rancid food the hot food is cold and so greasy and the deserts are so low quality with such high price tags avoid you will be disappointed

Everything went in the bin, it was absolutely disgusting. The cake was so dry it was like eating sand. The donuts and cupcakes we received were Asda bough from what tasted like a week ago then chocolate sauce and sprinkles dumped on top. I'd never recommend to anyone, it's baffling how they are still open.

Very average food not worth what they are charging. That being said I enjoyed the waffle sticks and there was a decent amount of chocolate/fruit/toppings. Please could you review your banoffee slice sizing - exhibit A attached. I found this portion laughable and tragic. Delivery time was ok.

This shop shouldn't be existing, everything is horrible. The driver can't find my location and blamed me for not putting the right address while my address is in town center and no problem for any other delivery. Food was horrible as well, using very low quality ingredients, everything goes into the bin after tasting it. Order on deliveroo never complete might because they don't want us to leave bad reviews but worst is worst, you can't hide it, there is still reviews on google.

Terrible restaurant, order was 45 minutes late. Discussed with Deliveroo and it eventually arrived. The food was cold, ice cream drinkable, cake box missing 2 cakes & cakes were covered in white and dark chocolate sprinkles (which I do not like) it was not stated on the menu either. Discussed with Deliveroo and was offered credit on my account id have preferred a fresh order that was correct and warm. Couldn’t fault Deliveroo though as they were quite helpful all in all.

You will wait for over 2 hours to get your delivery and it will be wrong. You message to complain and all you will get is that they are sorry to hear this. No resolution. They aren't bothered. Won't be using again. Rubbish service

I ordered some deserts on Deliveroo from this shop before looking at reviews. While I was looking at the reviews I was sceptical and scared in case my order wouldn’t come or that I wouldn’t be able to get a refund if anything happened to it. I spent just over £30.00 in food and patiently waited. In my experience I feel as though this shop does not deserve the reviews and number of stars they are getting. They could havw simply improved. As this is the way it is looking. I didn’t give a 5 star review just because my order was slightly late by half an hour but I rang to check that they had got the order and they answered nearly straight away and told me it was on its way and that it will take a bit longer because I live further away. I understood and to my amazement it arrived within the next 5 minutes of ending that call. I was very happy with everything I got and especially liked the bubble waffle.

Rubbish. Delivery was 45 minutes later than promised. My friend had had to go by the time it arrived. Don’t promise what you can’t deliver!

Disgusting customer service. Ordered and paid for online, was over an hour late, they didn't answer the phone when I rang 3 times, contacted them through Facebook and they read my message and didn't respond. When it arrived I mentioned it to the driver and he shrugged his shoulders at me. Opened the order and they had sent me someone else's. I messaged back on Facebook, again read and not responded. Avoid this company at all costs

Firstly my order was an hour late. The restaurant would not answer the phone and I ended up contacting them through Facebook. I was told my order was 30 minutes late only, which wasn't the case. Whilst whomever I spoke to was apologetic, I was repeatedly sent messages asking how to fix the situation and that they didn't have any drivers except one member of staff. I was sympathetic, but an hour is excessive. I asked for a refund, to which I was told to do it through this app. I did, and later found out they refused on the grounds I was given a "free item"; not the case. And when I finally received my order, they had gotten part of the order wrong. That's one too many mistakes in my book, and clearly they should come offline of they're unable to meet demand. I really wouldn't recommend, they lack taking any responsibility.

Absolutely appalling. Paid a total of £45 for various items. We waited 1hr45 when advised it was 40 minute delivery but expected a longer wait since its Friday night. The hot food was cold and the ice creams were melted. We managed to microwave the tasteless and poor quality hotdogs but the nachos which were in a box with tinfoil had melded into it and really shouldn’t have to turn the oven on since I’m paying for food that is prepared. Bought a tub of Ben&Jerrys but this came with a damaged and rimless lid and missing a protective seal and I’m dubious if it was even actual Ben&Jerrys as given this fact, there’s no way I’m tasting it. Tried calling to complain but they are not answering calls.

Horrendous experience do not shop here!! Order never arrived and staff refused a refund and hung up. Have not been able to get in contact any further and have paid for something which the rude staff member claimed was delivered to 'a blonde woman'- I am not blonde and most certainly did not receive the food I paid for. Will not shop here again or any of their sister restaurants, awful service and physically impossible to get my money back - attempted to go to the shop itself and found it closed despite them taking orders online. Avoid.
