Order HOF40000087253967 Received an odd pair of football boots. Even said on the box they were odd (Left size 8, right size 9) and they still sent them. HOF and Sports Direct one of the same, sloppy standards with no after service. Cost me to receive (£4.99) and cost me to return (£3.99).

Good store, but the wider chain has a poor reputation for its customer service. I prefer other stores.

This has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced do not buy anything from here unless you no it will be right I have two on going complaint s since Christmas nightmare company when some thing goes wrong

Lovely staff very helpful and friendly.

The staff are always super helpful probably only encountered 1 who was a bit chilly at the Ralph lauren section but everyone else was super helpful and I had a great experience and nearly enough got everything I came for and what I didn’t find, they advised me where I could go. I only took 1 star off because I purchased the Ugg cleaning kit from here pentblox and they RUINED my uggs! I followed the instructions perfectly but now I’ve ruined my shoes so that’s very disappointing

I went to MAC in House of Fraser in Manchester to find a lipstick, and Angie was absolutely amazing! She was so positive and helpful, and she found me a lipstick that matched me perfectly. She made my shopping experience wonderful x

I went into House Fraser Manchester to buy boots. I saw pair in sale but not my size so Rachel was so helpful in finding size online for me and helping me to complete order due to not having my glasses. Great customer service..... THANK UOU.

Shocking! Since Sports Direct bought HoF it has gone so far down hill that it is hard to believe. Just spent my lunch hour trying to exchange a scarf that was an unwanted Xmas present at HoF Manchester. They seem to have a similar returns policy to Sports Direct which just doesn't work given it's not the usual pile it high model. Add to that unhelpful staff, poor management, a Sub standard returns policies and you have a very poor customer experience indeed. I don't think that returning my scarf could have been more difficult than this. Never again! RIP House of Fraser.

I'm not sure what's happened to house of frazer, but it always looks like it's on the verge of closing down.

Would have expected more from this company but like many it has moved into the present where customer service is non existant. Contacting them is near impossible and when you do it is not responded to. I mistakenly ordered an item to may old address realising once order was confirmed. I immediately tried to change delivery. NOT possible but cancellation an option the customer service voice said. So how! Can't talk to anyone. No chat. Just email. So I did. 4 days ago. It was opened after 3 days and as of now no response. Total joke and unacceptable. Customer service doesn't exist. Contact options appauling. Surprised to say this considering the organisation used to be one of the best. How the mighty fall.

Many, many people in the reviews here saying House of Fraser don’t conduct a fair and proper return policy - so recommend exerting caution before shopping there. Attempted to return shoes, was told no despite fact shoes in perfect condition. Complete insanity, apparently you can’t try things on - the minute they leave the store consumer rights do not exist. Christmassy 😂😂😂

Absolutely disgusting treatment by the managers at House of Fraser. After wearing an expensive new coat for the first time I noticed a manufacturing fault that was very easy to miss when I purchased it in store. I had taken the label off but still kept it in the bag along with the receipt and they refused to accept it as a return (was asking for store credit instead of cash refund). They were essentially accusing me of damaging the coat myself and then trying to return it which absolutely did not happen. They've now lost a customer for life so I hope that was worth it.

Quality items at competitive prices

Use it or lose it. Having lost all but one department store in Sheffield, I know what it means to have nowhere to go to actually see and feel products. With just a few weeks to go before Christmas, House of Fraser feels very much like it is just hanging on. It's a great store but it needs your help as do most high street shops. It's not always about the price.

Poor packaging!! After spending £405 on a hand bag it came damaged. You can not even get through to customer service as they don’t answer the phone.

Pay £10 for next day delivery and 3 days later the item still hasn't arrived. Call House of Fraser only to be told they only respond to enquiries about online orders via email and their average response time is 4 days. Item was a birthday present that is now late. Shambles of a company and non existent customer service!

Enjoyed shopping at HOF always do got lot's of sale bargains such a good sale. Online shopping when I can't make it to the shop it's my favourite visit Online everyday always something new to see.

Placed order online. When confirmation email come through several items were missing. No explanation why items were removed. Could of re-ordered but then have to pay delivery again! Tried chat to speak to customer services but was a waste of time.

Rather quiet when we visited, which isn't a bad thing! Looks tired and in need of an update when comparing the store to Selfridges and Harvey Nics. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I think is a beautiful shopping centre. Unfortunately not many people go there. But I advice for everyone like brands to go there for a good big shopping in a quiet beautiful place.

Awful customer service. Purchased an expensive jumper that has turned up with really poor quality. Looks thick material online and its arrived more like a t-shirt. House of Fraser insisting I pay £4.99 to return it. Awful policy to have. Not bothered by £4.99, it’s the principal. Was a regular customer but not shopping there again.

Affordable price and kid-friendly. The kids' floor has games and a toy section where kids can play video games.

Appalling-not only my order did not get on time, I returned it and cannot get my refund back despite providing proof of postage and confirmation from Royal Mail that it was returned two weeks ago. Customer Services pathetic responses noone is accountable, unable to raise a complaint via the website, there is no accountable person there, only receiving template messages and raising new case numbers which means nothing, as noone is responsing. NIGHTMARE!! AVOID HOUSE OF FRASER AT ALL COSTS! I am now writing to Head Office to raise a formal complaint.

Pity shops like this don't seem to fare well - nearly empty when visited. Nearly all very expensive stock.

The perfumer / lady that was at the Guerlain perfume section today was super lovely. She had really good customer service skills and was very friendly and kind. She helped advise me and my friend on the different variety of perfume scents from the Guerlain brand. And helped me realise that i really like the scents from this brand!

Had a TV delivered which was smashed in transit. Waited over a month for a refund at which point too much time had passed to use the order number to log into online chat. Went to the Manchester store and was helped by a lovely member of staff on the third floor called Eve. One phone call and the refund was sorted. Couldn't rate her highly enough but as for the online "sevices", an absolute shambles. Please please please improve the unnecessarily awkward online services.

Ordered a black True Religion hoodie online for home delivery next day! House of Fraser was a bit lacklustre. Walked round beauty department and all staff ignored me and talked loudly amongst themselves. Clothes department pretty uninspiring also, a few staff looking bored rigid and no eye contact. Huge amounts of stock , goodness knows how they will shift it.

Some decent prices, but the usual abysmal sports direct group customer service. I don't just mean bad, but painfully bad. Buyer beware.

What a shame,,, the HoF in Hull closed ages ago, so always make an excuse to come to MCR, to go shopping,,, but the stores dying on its feet, its like a ghost town,, think we only saw another 10+ people in the whole store,

General nice place to shop, however when we left the store 5 minutes before closing time I said thank you to the Indian security guard, he showed no emotion. Made me left like we shouldn't have been there.

They rip off customers! Last week I bought my wife a ysl libre perfume for £125 full price and today I went to buy another one the same size and this cost £155, the same exact perfume! There was an offer for 20% off the fragrances and after the full price this would cost £124. How does this make any sense it would amount to the same price. Something needs to be done. This is a scam! A week difference and they increased the price by £30. They think that the customers are thick. They’re basically taking advantage of us. When confronting the staff they had nothing to say and were blaming the manager. The service was terrible and nothing was done to help the situation. Never ever shopping here ever again!! I also asked to speak to the manager but was told I wasn’t able to. They are not doing their job properly, if there is an issue the manager should be present and available to customers so that they can deal with the problem. How is this acceptable, especially during times of price inflammation. I’m really really disappointed, I’ve been shopping here for years but won’t be returning. Such a shame!

Horrible customer service. Lost a receipt woth credit note to an item I ordered and return. Later asked the staff to check my returned item to reprint the receipt. Return Policy is inconvenient. Last time buying anything from there.

Very few visible staff within the store. Helpful when I knew who could provide assistance. 3 of us stood at the same counter..no staff initiative to help.

Pam from the YSL section has helped me purchase products on many occasions and has always been very warm, knowledgeable, and friendly. She has always recommended the perfect lipstick and foundation shades with a 100% success rate.

A nice department store of what seems to be a dying industry. Served by two of the most helpful and friendly people I've ever come across in the fragrance department but unfortunately can't remember either of there names.

Gents; if you haven't shopped at House of Fraser ( Kendall's Manchester Dean's Gate ) for a while then I implore you to give it a try. The gents section on the basement floor is excellent; a superb selection of quality brands to satisfy all tastes. Shoes to coats and everything in between. Prices are competitive with the rest of Manchester with the bonus of all being under one roof. This is now my go-to shop when I want something a little special without breaking the bank.

Whenever we go to House of Frazer, it just feels like it's going to close down ? Maybe it's the rubbish music that gives it a weird atmosphere. Or the amount of time you spend walking around for a staff member ? Was an okay shopping experience but wouldn't rush back.

House of bargains more like! Wife loved it and nearly cleared the store out but the bill was reasonable. It was quiet in store but staff respectful and attentive especially Julie in the homeware department.

After 4 weeks I am still waiting for a delivery, they don't know where it is, refund has been dennied and the compensation it's a 10% discount where you still need to pay the delivery and it's not applicable to other discounts . I have contacted them like 12 times, 1 every 3 days basically as they stated to give you an answer in 3-5 working days. After 27 days I know nothing yet, 3 times i have been told that an investigation has been raised... SHAMELESS

Had an appointment with personal shopper , Joe. Very helpful experience, picked an outfit for my Son's wedding, thrilled with the help.The store is looking so much better and some decent brands returning. , I love this store , keep up the customer service please.

Large department store. The staff were highly knowledgeable about what they did and didn't stock. It's the only mid market dept store in Manchester, not as expensive as Selfridge's and not as basic as M&S. In particular the menswear selection is great for smart casual & work clothes plus the biggest suit department I've ever seen. Similar cutlery / silverware depts are huge. Alas what I needed they did not have in stock and the staff confirmed out of stock in their warehouse. It could though do with some love and a bit of buzz. Felt a bit secondary compared to Bristol store.

I was told I could bring back an item within 14 days for a refund, but when I came to return I was told they don't do refunds for in store purchases, they only give store credit. I've literally never heard of another store with this policy, and I won't ever be shopping here again. Absolutely disgusting
