Best biryani I've ever had (so fragrant and well spiced) and the Chicken 65 was delicious also---I had as part of a takeaway thali, which was a great deal and packaged well. The owner was very friendly and offered me a choice of drinks to replace the dessert that was not on offer tonight.

I ordered andhra chicken fry biryani & Hyderabad dum- biryani.The flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection!” i will give 10/10 rating ❤️❤️

Very tasty biryani at an affordable price! They charge 50p for eat-in service tho. But overall I am satisfied. They provide 2 small chicken drumsticks for the chicken biryani. Maybe they should consider a bigger size chicken drumstick!

Hands down the best Biryani you'll find in all of UK. It's such a shame I didn't try them out earlier. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND, I'm glad my friend recommended this to me and I stopped by their shop just because I remembered. The masalas are just right, the chichen is marinated so well and the rice is filled with flavours. Chicken quantity is generous unlike any other Indian place, the chef here knows the true appetite of an Indian. If you like it extra spicy, trust me the they could really take the spice level to authentic Indian Andra style. I'm literally salivating just at the thought of how perfectly spicy my meal was, not too much not too little. The staff here setup a really warm vibe as well. At first I ordered the andra fry because it was boneless, later when I noticed they have a special and wanted to switch - the lady at the reception described the difference really well and made me feel so warm about switching my choice. I'm so glad I finally have one place I can blindly order Biryani from for the rest of my life. To the folks at HOB- Ya'll are doing a great job getting India to Sheffield, please continue the exact same standards (quality, quantity, price, taste) and I bet you'll win some grand awards very soon! Thanks a ton for making me finally get what I've been craving for since such a long time.

Ordered the Andhra Chicken Biryani and boy it didn’t disappoint. One of the best biryanis I have had in the UK. Plenty of chicken with the flavoured rice. They also sent a personalised note which was a nice touch. I will definitely order again and tempted to try other dishes from here as well.

I recently discovered House of Biryani and there's no turning back. The biryani’s are amazing in this place and it's my go-to place whenever I miss home. I like the fact that they maintain the exact flavours of Hyderabadi biryani. Not to forget the double ka meetha is chefs kiss!

This is the best and most authentic Hyderabadi biryani in the Sheffield area. Their Chicken 555 is also the best I have tried so far, and a plus side is they provide generous portions (quantity), which most other restaurants lacks in all over Sheffield. That was such tasty food. Had the chicken dum Biryani and house dum Biryani with Hyderbadi chicken 65. So good. People who run it are welcoming and friendly and when you walk in it just smells like a home kitchen!

I travel a lot and I like trying food at different places. Outside of London, I didn’t find proper Hyderabadi Biryani. I found this place and tried chicken dum biryani and chicken pakodi. It was amazing and felt exactly the same. If you are love Hyderabadi Biryani, you should definitely try this place.

I ordered lamb biryani was very bland , with only 3 pieces of meat and soooo much greasy rice. A disgusting runny raita yoghurt in a tiny pot was like water consistency. I ended up with the worst stomach ache for 2 days after eating this. Costed me £7.99 WAY too overpriced for the portion and lack of flavour. Will 1000% not be eating there again! Yuck!

When I ordered for the first time I never anticipated that in the UK I can get such great good and especially Andhra Fry Biryani which has a separate fan following. Trust me or not but there hasn't been a week where we haven't ordered food from House of Biryani. Not only this, they also cater special menu on your requests so the other day I requested them to make veg biryani with the base which they use in Andhra fry Biryani along with paneer and I MUST SAY that it was just AMAZING !!!!!!!!!! I can confidently say that this is the best food that I have had in the UK !!!

The biriyani is exceptional. For what it is, which is a Hyderabadi dum biriyani, it's very authentic. It is spicy, so this will not be for you if your spice tolerance is low. Definitely the best biriyani (of any kind) that I've had in Sheffield. The Raita was too watery for my liking, but the biriyani is so good, that you don't need to add anything to it! But I recommend combining it with their Chicken 65 (also spicy)!

Ate twice from this place, the most horrible and awful taste biriyani, I ever had. The andra chicken biriyani and dum chicken biriyani were so spicy that we can't tolerate the heat, as if only red chilli and clove was used in the whole biriyani. Rice was not a high quality basmati, too much of artificial colour and spices, no flavour at all. Need to change your chef and your menu, if not ,it will be difficult for you to sustain.

So disappointed. Chicken korma literally had a drumstick chucked in when I was clearly asked if wanted off the bone. Really salty and nothing like I expected of a korma. The grease in the food was unreal with our lamb curry and paratha's. Definitely will not be going back and the worst 23 pound I have ever spent!!!!

Recently me and friend ordered briyani and we went to collect, as we got home and we tasted the food it was very spicy, was impossible to eat it, the portion size is not worth for the price we paid, so wont order again from this place. Avoid.

Unfortunately as a Pakistani I can't call this biryani. It was just rice cooked and mixed in with curry. The flavour was alright but for £7.99 (large) the portion size isn't enough, including the chicken piece. The raita was too watery as well.

We decided to go with House of Biryani for our daughter's birthday catering, and we were extremely pleased with the catering service . The quality of both non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes were exceptional. From the menu mutton Biryani, Bagara rice, gravys, Chicken 65 and Gobi Manchurian were very delicious. The staff was prompt, professional, and the food was delivered on time. I highly recommend House of Biryani for anyone seeking typical south Indian exquisite non-vegetarian in Sheffield. Worst service. They collected money 1st without infomring the delay and I waited more than 45 min to deliver order( just for a rice and kuruma). They prioritised their own natives who came after me and delayed my order . Not recommended at all.

So far it's one of my second favourite biryani places in Sheffield! Just loved! A little suggestion from my side is please add a little bit, just a bit of the main biryani gravy and please get rid of the skin a bit more! Overall I loved it!

First order tonight. I find the price of the biryani and a breakfast dish to be over priced for what you get. Note-the veg and the fried chicken biryani are dry dishes in other words it's biryani rice, I have to say the rice was delicious. Hard to eat with it being a dry dish, I'd advise ordering a curry (not much choice though) along with your biryani, however this will be exceptionally overpriced my order was just short of £30 for two main dishes and a very small breakfast dish. Again the food was delicious.

I tried this place last weekend for the first time and I have already visited it again twice this week. The Chicken/Lamb Biryani are both very good, as is their Chicken/Lamb Korma. The Biryani portions are generous and the prices are also reasonable. The food quality is good, and the taste has been consistent across all 3 visits. The people who run the place are courteous, friendly and polite, and always check if you are happy with what you have been served. I am happy to have finally found a place in Sheffield that does good quality Biryani. P.S.: I noticed some low-rated reviews, and I find those comments hard to believe based on my own experience. I can only conclude that they may be from some competing businesses in the neighbourhood, trying to tarnish their reputation. Only one way to confirm - try it once!

Horrendous Experience!!! Ordered one chicken biryani and one chicken korma with puri's through the Deliveroo app for 26 pounds. When the food arrived, we couldn't believe our eyes at what saw. The chicken korma was served in the tiniest takeaway container and consisted of just one piece of chicken leg bone with no meat on it or anywhere in the bowl. The gravy was brimming with oil as well. The chicken biryani came in a regular takeaway box but was only 3/4 filled up. It also consisted of two pieces of chicken leg bone with hardly any meat on it. And the Puri's were absolutely diabolical - greasy, hard and the texture felt like it's cooked a few days ago and then heated up in the microwave. Utterly disappointed, I called the restaurant up for an explanation. After explaining the state of the food, the manager implied that I must be lying as he checks every food that goes out. He even tried to justify that lack of meat by saying their chicken is so soft that it must have melted off into the gravy. Yeah, right!! He didn't accept his mistake and had a confrontational tone throughout. His idea of compensation was to give me an extra piece of chicken on the next order. When I stated that I would be calling Deliveroo customer care and sharing pictures of the food, he told me that would be pointless as he would also send picture of the food being send out perfectly. THATS when I knew he was scamming me - like he takes pictures of every order before sending them out in the off chance an event like this would occur. Absolutely laughable. I cut the call, contacted Deliveroo and got my money back. Now, I wouldn't be writing this bad review if he was humble about making a mistake and took some measures to rectify it. However, he was arrogant and treated me with disrespect. If you are in the service industry, you cannot do the later without any reprucussions. Do NOT order food from this place as they are looking for any opportunity to scam you. The portion sizes are a joke and I would be very wary of the quality control. As for his offer of giving me an extra piece of chicken with my next order - yeah, right!! Never in a million years am I going to order food from here.

Delicious authentic Hydrabadi biryani, I tried the chicken dum and andhra fry biryani, my wife tried the vegetarian one and the double ka meetha dessert. It was gorgeous, and soooo reasonably priced! Highly recommend this place, hope they start the breakfast menu soon!

As someone who was born & brought up in Hyderabad, India I have spent the last 6 years in Sheffield optimistically ordering biryani from every Indian restaurant and curry house that crossed my path - only to be disappointed. House of Biryani is exactly what we need in this city. The biryani is authentically Hyderabadi and brings back a taste of home. The food was absolutely amazing at a great price. I’m definitely going to be going back there (and often)! PS I fully intended to take a picture for this review, but I polished off my plate of biryani before I had the chance 😋

I recently tried the biryani at this restaurant and loved the taste. The pricing was fair, but I wished there were more chicken pieces in the dish. Increasing the chicken quantity would make the biryani even more satisfying for customers like me.
