Nice hotel comparing to others near by, busy still need alot of missing things, such fridge in room , laundry 24 hrs service, propper room service

Soulless. Cannot comment on the rooms. Food is borderline beyond the chefs' capabilities to make correctly. Adding quirky miniature pimento to a dish will not gloss over weak cooking and slowish service. Some staff are really nice, but overall, the expectations and promises aren't met by the experience. Plastic flowers at reception. Naff. Nice hand wash soap in the toilets. The hotel is pretty poor at accepting feedback. It could be so much more.

Hotel La Tour - Disappointing for Families with Babies Our recent family stay at Hotel La Tour was a mixed bag. While the hotel boasts attractive rooms and stunning views, certain aspects of our experience make it difficult to recommend for families, particularly those with babies. The initial impression was marred by a frustrating check-in process. Our booking was initially misread, leading to a room allocation error and a prolonged disagreement. Despite presenting our booking confirmation for a family room, the staff insisted we hadn't booked one. This went on for an uncomfortable five minutes before the error was acknowledged and corrected. A significant issue arose concerning the lack of facilities for heating baby food. We were informed that the hotel did not provide this service. This forced us to resort to a makeshift solution involving an ice bucket and hot water – a far cry from the expected amenities in a hotel that offers family rooms. Compounding this issue, obtaining the ice bucket was an ordeal in itself, requiring three phone calls and a 30-minute wait. On the positive side, the rooms were undeniably nice, and the views were excellent. However, the hotel's shortcomings in essential family-friendly amenities, such as the ability to heat baby food and efficient service, cannot be overlooked. In conclusion: Hotel La Tour has the potential to be a great hotel for certain guests, especially those traveling for business. However, the lack of suitable facilities and the initial check-in problems make it a less than ideal choice for families with babies. Improvements in these areas are necessary to cater to for families effectively.

We stayed for a couple of nights and I can say that this hotel is outstanding value for money the bedroom was big and very clean with a great view. We had breakfast on both mornings and I must say it's probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in a hotel with a large choice of food to choose from. Lastly, the staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them so thanks for a great stay.

A nice hotel with good rooms, comfy beds and a decent breakfast. Nice bar on the 14th floor with good food and service.

Super comfy beds, great location

Stayed here for one night and had the breakfast in the morning. Room was very clean and decor was very nice. The shower was good pressure even though on the top floor, and the views from the window over the city were stunning. The breakfast was a very good choice of cooked full English, and very good choice of continental, including bagels, crumpets, yogurts and fruits, fresh coffee from a bean to cup machine, very impressed, also the sky bar is lovey and the cocktails they make are very good, authentic and tasted premium. Will definitely be coming back

Fantastic customer service! Everyone was so friendly which is so refreshing in the UK. Even the housekeeping staff were smiley. . Room and breakfast were excellent.We cannot wait to stay again

The hotel is in a great location. I have stayed here numerous times now and it has to be one of the best I've stayed at. The reception team are very friendly and welcoming and always helpful! The room itself is very spacious with all the amenities you need, the bed is so comfy and guaranteed a great nights sleep. The level of cleanliness is very high with the room being cleaned daily. I would highly recommend the hotel and would more than willingly stay there again myself.

The bar staff were quite rude and not very accommodating of our party of 10. Besides that, nice big clean rooms, Lovely view of the park below and in walking distance of nearby pubs and restraunts.

We stayed a while ago but the bathroom was dirty and had hair everywhere, the shower was a dribble, the TV was bog standard and the view we had of the multi story car park was depressing. I was so heavily pregnant I couldn't even be bothered to complain. The only good thing about our stay was breakfast and the view from the restaurant.

What a beautiful restaurant! The view looks really peaceful ♡ service and food were absolutely wonderful, the aircon did make it feel a bit cold (end of November, not really needed!) but they changed it to warm air as soon as we mentioned it. This is a really lovely place x

We stayed for one night attending a function where we met friends. The room was lovely and appeared to be sound proofed! (room 602), very quiet at night. The was very comfortable. The service was good from check in to check out. Staff very attentive. Food very good. Breakfast actually tasted like it should. Would very much recommend.

The place it's very nicely done, good location great views! The rest it's a mess. No one can do 1 plus 1 or even humanly act towards any issue. I had: My staff removed from the room where I was stayed at and then partially given back I have ordered room service which was average but was given with no cutlery or napkins Worst of all as a guest i was trying to book another night at reception and they tried to over charge me 100 pounds. I asked why and they say because was in demand, I went on booking.com and I re booked same room at the initial price given. Shocking. Sorry I won't come back.

Stayed here for one night on Friday 25th October. The room as dirty, had litter on the floor. The mattress was dirty. The staff wouldn't help or move rooms. The breakfast was horrible as well. Cold and looking like it had been on the hot plate for an eternity. I couldn't recommend this hotel at all. Would rather go to Premier Inn. At least you know what you are getting.

Fabulous Hotel, the room was spacious & had an incredible view. The gentleman and the girl on the front desk 27/28 Oct were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. All the staff say hello and are very polite. The roof bar is a nice spot in the evening. I will definitely stay here again.

A very, very wonderful hotel... in a quiet city close to London, 45 minutes by high-speed train... the price is excellent and the rooms are wonderful... and the services are fast... the restaurant on the 14th floor is very awesome... I definitely recommend the hotel... A second trip to Milton in the same hotel, which is very nice, but the prices in August are very high and it is difficult to get rooms.

I am deeply disappointed with the reception at your hotel. The staff were extremely rude, telling my mom "you can't wait" in a very unwelcoming manner. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and has greatly impacted my experience at your establishment. I expect better customer service from a reputable hotel like yours. Please address this issue promptly. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. Upon arrival, I noticed that the room appeared to have not been thoroughly cleaned. There were visible stains on the kettle in the room from previous guests, which was unsanitary and unacceptable. We asked several times for it to be changed and nothing changed. Furthermore, the noise level in the hotel was excessive and disruptive. Throughout the night, I was constantly disturbed by loud noises coming from neighboring rooms and the hallway. This made it difficult for me to get a proper night's rest and significantly affected my overall experience at your establishment.

The 14th floor was the reason for the visit

We thought the hotel and staff were excellent. The bar on the top floor is very nice, a nice relaxing atmosphere with table service. The rooms are very clean, although the mattresses dipped in the middle, the hotel isn't even that old. We had a nice sleep throughout the middle of the night, although late at night, we could hear people walking up and down the stairs as our room was next to the stairwell. The noise started early morning again, so I didn't rate the sleeping part of our stay. The breakfast was nice, but we felt rushed as they started cleaning tables, etc, ready for the next shift. Overall, it was a very nice hotel but only a four star review for me this time.

There laundry is very expensive and they don’t clean properly and I need to bring it before 8:30 bad service

This hotel is a 2 minute walk from a secure covered car park that currently costs £6.00 from 4pm to 8am (July 2024). Checkin is simple especially if paid in advance. Rooms quiet, great acoustics and very quiet corridors. No refrigerators in the rooms, but there are tea and coffee facilities and a large complimentary bottle of water. Each room has iron, ironing board in the wardrobe. Complimentary shower gel is available in the wall mounted units in the shower.

Very disappointed, I stayed at the hotel for two nights and was double charged for a date in the future, tried to get help with this and the hotel simply refused.

The rooms are good, but first time in my life i go to hotel without small fridge in the room . They put tap water to drink ! The staff needs re-training in their attitude as they are so rude. They charge for every things even if i order plate and cutlery for my room !! The hotel location is amazing 1 minute walking to the mall .

On the plus side the place is modernistic - has a sleek, chrome, marble, look. Freshly built it’s in good nic, the bathrooms are showroom and the lifts are swift. Location is spot on central and the entrance foyer is commanding. But it’s let down by poor attention to detail. None of the receptionists seemed to own an iron - their crumpled uniforms jarred and detracted. The curtains in the room were a throw back to the 80’s and brought down any chic feel to. The tv remote was low on batt and only five free view channels were available on an obsolete flat screen. Half the towels were hidden in the wardrobe with hangers secured as if contents of a safe. The restaurant menu is limited and the food poor. Worst meal I have had in a four star establishment. And service was also painfully slow. The street bin outside was overflowing spreading rubbish and yes a council issue but poor front of house when one employee could have swiftly sorted. And Bar 14 an improvised office space. Clean though - the room was spotless, we left a tip, and mine to anyone reading would be go elsewhere. Better the familiarity of a comfy old sofa to fake leather.

Visited for a coffee and view..which became an apperitiff and a view..which turned into a delicious lunch with a view...helpful staff...

My wife and i have had an absolutely lovely stay at Hotel La Tour. From the moment we arrived at Reception to the moment we left all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our King Deluxe room was superb. Spotless and smart throughout. We had an evening drink in the 14 Sky Bar, and again, the staff were great and fast with our drinks. As for breakfast, there was a large variety on offer to eat and drink and having stayed in alot of hotels i thought the set up was excellent. When we stay in Milton Keynes again we look to book at this hotel.

The room was excellent with an amazing view, disappointed that the Restaurant did not serve an evening meal on Sunday or Monday although we were told that the restaurant would serve an evening meal.

Used to be a great hotel. Steep decline to a place run and staffed by school leavers who have had zero training in the basics. Restaurant staff look tired, uninterested and the Asian female "chef" who cooked my breakfast was simply dreadful. Caught her handling food with her bare hands. Dreadful.

Excellent views and fantastic food

First time visiting Milton Keynes to go to a concert. I chose this hotel from suggestions on social media. I must say it was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was fab and so much to choose from. I would definitely stay again, I didn't get anybody's name but the reception staff were fabulous and the lady checking me in at breakfast Thursday and Friday morning was lovely.

Fantastic rooms, fairly new hotel, great views over MK and beyond. The hotel is clearly not being cleaned as much as it should be. When I returned from dinner, there were glasses in the lift and other signs of lack of cleaning around the hotel. Return from dinner (at a local restaurant) and wanted to have a few drinks in The Sky-bar. Which should be the best location for drinks/cocktails with a view in MK. The views and setting are fantastic, but sadly it stops at that. Shockingly poor service and standards in a bar/restaurant that is charging a premium (Very expensive drinks prices and a mediocre menu). Having now gone back through previous reviews, many others have complained about this exact issue, but the hotel management appears to have done nothing about this! We arrived and were promptly told to be seated by a flustered waiter. We sat by the only free window table which was dirty, as were several other tables around. We sat and waited, and waited…After 20 minutes I got up and asked the waiter for the wine list and asked if I could order, I was promptly handed this and told to sit down and they’d be over for the order. Well after 45 minutes of waiting patiently at our table we gave up and returned our room! Exceptionally disappointing as this is one of the reasons we chose to stay at this hotel. I am not one to walk out a restaurant/bar but I refuse to paying £14 for a G&T after waiting 45 minutes to be served by snappy waiters and a 2 star service level. This really needs addressing!

We loved everything about this hotel. Location, quality, and friendly service from all the staff. The views from the roof-top are amazing. Strangely, the hotel take a £50 deposit when you check-in to cover damage, but the 1/2 price parking is a bonus. NOTE; If you park over 24 hours you will be charged by the day (£8) , not the hourly rate .. unless you exit and go back in to park. ( 2 days is still only £16 anyway)

Slight issue with first room but the team were able to sort it. Really good service from the team at fourteen. Great food, great drink. Prices you would expect to pay for this time of venue and experience. Only down side personally was lack of proper tv in the rooms. Could cast phone but no real tv.
