Hot, tasty and good sized portions. Will order again from Hot Wok. The Crispy Chilli Beef is amazing.

Came 2 hours 30 mins late with wrong order since I ordered prawns fried rice and came as a curry with separate rice. Very disappointed

It was late but the food taste so good

I have not received any of my order ..will not be ordering again .. I have been lied to about he delivery time when I called the restaurant. Very unhappy and poor service

Food was as I expected it to be (except a little cold) it was very late sadly and distressed me and my family.

Took more than 2hours to arrive. Food arrived with no notice. 5minutes after ordering I received the message it would be late. They called later to ask if we wanted to go collect it or wait 45 minutes. Nobody was rude to us. We decided to wait as sometimes s…t happens. Not going to order again from them. Trusted the “front cover of the book”. Definitely we should have read the reviews before ordering, as we got apprehensive when we noticed the pattern on the comments. The food arrived almost 2hours later from ordering. Driver was nice, food was good and hot but they really need to work on the processing time, whatever it is that’s going on there. Food good or not, they lost another costumer.

So the food and service was amazing, but it turned up at 8 and It was supposed to be delivered at 7.30

Never ordering again! Phoned the restaurant as it was late by 15 minutes, they said it would be another 10 minutes - it then arrived after another 20 minutes, would have been forgivable but the food was stone cold and had to microwave it all. Such a shame because the food was alright once warmed up but the service was terrible - also no apology or compensation.

They delayed up to about 2hours then called and said it would be another 45mins delay as there was no driver so my husband had to go collect

Had no updates for the food, went over the delivery time and when we called up to check where it was they hung up on us. When the food arrived it was cold

Nearly 2hrs late! Didn’t even want it by the time it arrived. Not acceptable - local legend is a debatable title.

An hour late. Refused to pick up the phone when called. No apology when food finally arrived. Not entirely hot. Not ordering from here again, dire service!

Have never had any problems with this restaurant but the last 2 orders was delayed then that delay was delayed not happy 1 lost customer

Decent food and flavourful chicken noodle soup.😁😋The rice had a good amount of veg but could do with more meat? The service was slightly disappointing as I had to wait a long while (over 100 mins) after scheduled before receiving my order and my phone calls were not answered.

The spring rolls insides weren’t in the actual spring roll they were in the bag, the food is cold and the curry sauce pot was smashed, normally I love ordering from here but I’m not sure what it is your delivery driver was doing to take so long and little care of the food

The delivery driver was extremely rude, my food was left on the floor and after addressing his attitude, he walked off and drove away, Poor customer service and I won't be eating here again. As well as that, i ordered a plain special fried rice and it came with all sorts of meat.

food took forever to come, it was cold on arrival. tasted like absolute trash and the guy over the phone was incredibly rude when i asked how long my order was going to take when he was already late.

Order was late, food was cold and they got me the wrong bottle of drink I've ordered which has happened twice now. Not very happy with the service, don't think I'll be ordering again.

Ordered over a hour and a half ago. Can’t get hold of the restaurant they haven’t responded to the nudges- and the food hasn’t turned up! Well after the estimated arrival time and food went out for delivery ages ago! We ordered at 10.45 it’s now 12.20! We don’t even want the food now we want to go to sleep but are still sat here waiting as we don’t know what’s going on?! Such poor communication and service will not be ordering from here again!!

Chicken balls were a bit over cooked and the chips were dry but everything else was good

I ordered my favourite dish I eat from other restaurants but this was the only one open at this time. The food quality was terrible. The shredded chilli beef was burnt, I mean bbq burnt like I am eating coal. Can’t call them no number on here or website!

Very good service and tasty food

Didn’t have to wait a full hour which was great because I was hungry and it arrived in 30 minutes. Food was hot, no complaints, standard fare but less greasy than some others, free prawn crackers. Would happily order again.

4th time ordering from hot wok. Initial two orders very good but recently think the quality has decreased. Food very salty & hard to eat though hot on arrival. Not covid safe delivery though delivery driver delivered on time and to my door.

I found wire cable in my chow mien!!! Am still awaiting my refund!! I returned all the food to the shop, this was not a little bit of cable this was huge!!!

I placed an order via Just Eat on Friday 12th March’21, the order was received & showed would take an hour to o be delivered. Ok, so waited, received an automated phone message to say not long now, this was after the hour had past. 40 minutes after trying to get though to the takeaway, I was informed the driver was 5mins away. When my order was delivered, an hour & 40mins later, there were items missing, so again another call through to Hot Wok who said they would send the missing items which meant another half an hour, bearing mind, they are 10/15mins max drive away. The food was inedible, no taste at all, congealed & ended up throwing it away. Absolutely disgusting & a waste of money. Never again.

The Chef uses too much soya sauce that the rice looked black. all fried rice same. they looked black. I have never ever soon rice dishes use that much soya sauce. I write on my note to call me when the driver reached here as my daughter was sleeping. But the driver did not read my note and after receiving the call I told driver that I am coming down but he did not understand and keep calling me. I will not order food again from this take away

Asked for some special noodles with prawns and meat but didn’t see any meat and i counted 1 prawn only, tasteless had to put myself some soy sauce My missus wasn’t impressed with her veg noodles also, ordered a normal coke and they sent diet

Ordered aromatic duck and no cucumber or onions, the duck was burnt and very dry. The delivery instructions were not passed onto the driver and he rang after wiating outside for 10mins so the food was cold by the time we ate. I would not order from them again.

Had to request the app for an update, and then call the restaurant for an update. The food is always fantastic and arrives hot and full of flavour

It all had the same brown color to it and to be honest, it all pretty much tasted the same with a perfumey taste and was quite greasy.. the sweet & sour chicken Hong Kong style was really nice.

I haven't had Chinese takeout in over a year and this was truly disappointing. Really felt I wasted £30 as all the food ended up in the bin except the ribs. Funny taste, excessively dry, too salty, no pepper. I am pregnant and was really looking forward to eating this but went to bed hungry instead. Truly upset! I wish I could request a refund!!!!

Just found I peas in my rice and 3 Prawn in my food, there is too much salt. I could not eat the shredded beef there was hardly beef but full of batter very disappointing.

Part of the order missing. Very greasy and just tasted a bit old. The pork balls were super greasy and the batter tasted sweet, like pancakes. The sauce was thin. I mean it's not awful but it's not good either 🤷‍♀️

Thai curry was not good at all but the rest of food was great. Delivery super late and customer service was really bad, impossible to speak with them and if you do then they only say it is on the way... but we did order many times before and was always good

Hot and sour soup was inedible. Like pure Soy sauce. Salt and chilli ribs rubbish. All food was just Meh

My chicken curry container was only 3/4 full and no mushrooms but was advertised as containing them. Also my plain chow mien was very salty and doused in soy sauce. Chicken balls were a little burnt also. Understand the was busy but very disappointed and will not be a returning customer I’m afraid. 😒

To start with the delivery driver arrived with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and stood right at our front door - filled the room with smoke! That set the tone.. the food was awful! The hors doevres were old and tasted stale and foul. The squid coating was oily and also tasted stale. The only redeeming feature was the chow mein, although in a large seafood chow mein you might expect to find more than 2 prawns and 2 mussels! All in all VERY disappointing!

The food was cooked in really old oil and had an awful taste. We could not enjoy any of the meals.

The pots that the curry sauce comes in seem to be semi consistently broken, possibly due to the way they are stacked.

Good food.-4th time ordering and actually getting better. Order arrived reasonably hot though I did reheat. Delivery on time and to the door though slightly concerned that delivery guy wasn’t wearing a face mask.

They told me on the phone that the driver was taking 6 people’s delivery’s on one round to do drop offs. Due to this I get cold food. This is not acceptable.

Unfortunately most of the food was completely cold this time round (which it normally isn’t), despite one dish being piping hot (which suggests to me some of its been sitting around for a while. The driver also didn’t wear a mask or gloves when delivering the food
