Hot Milk Cafe in Haringey

Had a coffee and some headspace. Enjoyable, local, independent. Good atmosphere, quality coffee, lovely service! Recommended!

I came here after hearing from a friend that they did a pizza evening, came for a pizza but ended up taking one home as well for my partner because we enjoyed it so much. Also, was recommended some wine to go with our pizza and was delish. Glad we came in the evening rather than earlier as it seems to be a more family friendly place in the late noon.

Don’t know where to start. My family and I were visiting family in Bounds Green and my brother in law had told us about this love little cafe that does really good food. When we arrived there was only one other table with guests, so we took the large table beside the window, we had to ask to get the table cleaned, lots of crumbs and old food. Our orders was taking quickly by a really nice young women. 4 lots of pancakes, 1 breakfast bap and a doughnut for my youngest, along with drinks. Drinks arrived quickly and we waited for our food, drinks had been drunk and still no food, finally the food arrived apart from 1 serving of pancakes, the original waitress returned and asked if we were missing a serving, which we replied yes. After a few minutes I told everyone to carry on and eat their brunch as food was starting to get cold. After some time we asked about my pancakes to be told that they were on their way!!! Finally after everyone had finished, my pancakes turned up, on making the first cut into the pancake I can only describe as completely raw and uncooked batter oozed out. We promptly retuned this and made a complaint. The chef came out and asked what the problem was, we explained everything that had happened and he got very aggressive making as if it was our fault. My brother in law continued to explain to him about how unhappy we were with the situation, whilst I went to pay, the young man at the counter said that he had taking the cost of the drinks of the bill, no apologies. Needless to say none of us will be returning to this cafe.

It's our local cafe and the best place for a coffee and brunch in the neighbourhood (not that it has any competition) The Vegan BLT is delicious and the interior is gorgeous. Staff are v friendly as well.

Un pequeño café luminoso y bullicioso que trae un poco de alegría a un pequeño tramo lúgubre del norte de Londres junto al metro de Bounds Green. El personal es muy amable, café decente y una selección de los pasteles habituales que se ofrecen. Vine para el brunch y me decepcionó un poco la falta de opciones en el menú, se redujo a un butty de tocino o huevos o champiñones en una tostada. De memoria, solían ser bastante ambiciosos con su comida, lo cual es una pena, porque hay lugares en la misma calle que aplastan absolutamente la oferta de brunch, a pesar de la crisis de Covid.

This cafe is about 100 yards from Bounds Green Station.Just had a cup of tea.Quite cheap and the staff were very friendly.

We regularly stop there for a quick lunch. Decor is rather simple but food is nice, all freshly prepared and nicely presented. Staff is alway very frindly. Nothin special, but simply good. That's why we come back.

We had a lovely Sunday brunch, seven of us. There had been a mix up with our table booking, but we managed to get two tables next to each other even though it was busy. The staff could not have been nicer about the mix-up, we were offered a free round of coffees, they waived the tip and even emailed to apologise later. And the food itself was great - breakfast burritos much enjoyed by the kids and my father reports the heuvos racheros was the best he has eaten outside Mexico! We will be going back, best brunch in the area (and cheaper and friendlier than Muswell Hill brunches I have tried.)

An excellent cafe. Opens early enough for breakfast before the working day begins and then a great selection of perfect food throughout the day. All top quality ingredients and presentation at very fair prices. Could say decor is a thoughtful refreshing mist mash but it hangs together very well. Very welcoming efficient staff. Good mix of customers and all ages. Close to the tube.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. There was a nice variety to select from. Staff were very friendly and food delicious. Seating was good but not terrific. Everything looked clean and I had a very good experience overall. Seems to be very popular with locals for take-away coffee.

I recently visited with a friend and can’t believe the prices, it’s a rip off! It’s more expensive than Knightsbridge and Muswell Hill that have much higher business rates. They charge £3.50 for a TINY little glass of sour orange juice. The people on the table next to us were sharing breakfast as so pricey. This is Bounds Green, I feel they are taking advantage of the fact that there aren’t other sit down food places around the station. I hope more competition comes into the area. Yes, the food and coffee are nice, but it’s very noisy and full of groups of single men that take over lots of tables. It can’t be a regular visit, but a treat and you will be wasting a lot of money if you visited regularly.

The best bacon AND egg sandwich I’ve had for a long time! Great coffee. Staff were friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

We like to try a new place for brunch every Sunday. This place really hits the spot. Attractive decor, great coffee, quick and helpful staff, lovely food! Very tasty, good value breakfast burritos, and unusual but delicious avocado with corn and feta on sourdough. We'll be back!

Have been living the in the area for a while and I just managed to see this cafe. I really liked the layout and the decor of the the place. The staff is polite and smiling during the service. The menu offers both breakfast and brunch options. I had an amazing beagle and a tasty pastry. They also serve great coffee! Surely I will come back for more weekends’ brunches

I love this cafe so much. They have the best pastel de nata outside of Portugal. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The outdoor seating is great in warm weather and they cater for pretty much all dietary requirements. A welcome addition to the area.
