Hong Kong Kitchen in Bournemouth

It's a "bring to me" food outlet. But I buck the trend and go there in person to take it away. Good food and excellent service.

We visited Bournemouth from Hong Kong and had to try. My wife was able to order and get what type of takeaway she wanted as staff were originally from Hong Kong and could speak to each other. Very friendly 😀

Food was OK, but a bit upset they chose to use chopped ham and pork in their food.

I have eaten here for years. Best Chinese I know however my last meal was disappointing , had to throw it when I got home. Only complaint in years and just a minor one for owners benefit but hopefully a one off. In response to owner: I do know which takeaway you are. As I said I’ve been using you for years and I have the intelligence to understand the difference between a restaurant I’ve used for years and one I’ve never been to 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don’t bother. Customer service terrible. Son of owner clearly doesn’t want to work there and his poor attitude exudes from him on the phone and in person. Food substandard to Top Wok just up the road so I’d recommend going there as they really value their returning customers and the food is best in the area.

A decent quality takeout. The waiting area is well decorated, looking fresh and new, the chairs are more of a more luxurious comfort than what you'd normally find in a take away. Waiting time was reasonable for us, food quality was a good medium standard, would definitely go here again.

I tried this Chinese for the first time tonight Picked up £32 order and when I got home I was short two curry sauce When I looked in the containers I couldn’t believe my eyes House special Chow Mein Child portion Beef Curry Black Bean Sauce 3 pieces of meat Chicken Pork Balls cremated so so dry I rang to say we were left short of two curry sauce They said they would send a driver I said ok I’ll purchase a beef curry to help you with the costs Wow the beef curry was awful But the main issue was the delivery man Whilst he stood next to me I got on the phone to the restaurant and as I was discussing the issues he grabbed the curry from my hand I said I’m not going to steal it He insisted he keep a hold of it Never ever have I been so mistrusted by a delivery driver Bottom line food is second drawer go elsewhere We work hard for our money and deserve better than this

Pretty impressed with the food there, ordered 3 times now. Always good. Definitely going again.

We ordered a takeaway last night for 2 people and can honestly say it was nicest meal we have had in a long time . It was a set meal and the sauces for each dish were delicious. We will definitely be ordering again very soon .😃

Best Japanese away take i have ever tried I love to love food and it was indeed lovable. the staff are really nice and polite.I 100 from the Poland and is just out of hospital and the green decorations will cheer him up so much I can’t wait to see his big smile.the up stairs is really nice and everyone there was so kind. The table structure was magnificent . I liked the balls as they were chicken.I LOVE CHICKEN! My mum liked the smell of all the food cooking as it reminded her of her times in her childhood .they really deserve 5 stars I have never tried such food it was amazing not only that the worker are so leng I would smash every single one of them I would massage all of them as they need it because of all the hard work they do . I frequent this takeaway when I visit my partner and his family. The prices are pretty fair and the quality is usually pretty good as some takeaways can be hit and miss. This takeaway offers delivery so it makes life a lot easier as the ones where I live don't offer this service. The delivery is quick and painless and even when we have collected it has been ready quickly. Everyone has enjoyed their meal but sometimes the Chicken Chow Mein (the only thing I personally get off the menu because I am fussy) is a little dry for my liking. I'm not sure if this is because of transit (though we don't live far away from the establishment) - that's the only real critique I can give without having anything else.

First takeaway from here. Hot tasty food delivered in a timely manner. Will be our got to Chinese in the future

A very authentic place, three chefs can be seen cooking continuously in the kitchen. Reasonable prices, great food.

Had a takeaway last night first time in a long while . Maybe being a Sunday they ran out of food ... sweet and sour chicken balls 6..... chef special curry few bits of meat mostly onions ... although tasted nice ... egg fried rice carton half full ... ribs 4 no meat .. Still hungry £22.00 spent . Was between 2 but potions way smaller than normal ter eating

We have been ordering food from Hong Kong kitchen for around 17 years. (Were based in Kimberly Road before where they are now). Food always great, have never had an issue or bad meal or bad experience in all that Time. big portions. Very friendly people. Will never order from anyone else. Thank you J and M for all your lovely food over the years.

Favourite takeaway, I've been going here for years and the food is still just as good and great service

It's a shame I'm having to put a lower review as the food is lovely but the last 3 times we have ordered, they have got it wrong. Although correcting the order, they get very defensive on the phone and try and make you collect it when you've ordered delivery, they have also charged an extra delivery fee on one occasion. Shame, we've made this our regular place but I'm a firm believer, if someone messes up, you apologise and do what you can to put it right.

Food is gorgeous, lovely portion sizes and full of flavour! Absolutely loved it! Will definitely be ordering from here again next time.

Friendly and efficient on the phone, timed perfect was told 15 mins and was ready in 15 mins. Open kitchen where you can see the chef's at work - very hygienic and all Covid measures in place. Had a crispy duck and special fried rice. Generous portion sizes, no MSG and very tasty and hot. Worth the drive from Hengistbury Head. A1+

1st time we have tried this place after being recommended to us , and was not disappointed. Beautiful food and big portions, the Thai king prawn curry was delicious as was everything else we ordered. Highly recommend this place and spot on with the timing of 20 minutes. Shall be returning

ive used this takeaway for along time now but today i phone up to order a delivery and am told the charge is goin to be 3.00 now because i live on a one way road, yes i know i,ve always lived on a one way road and your leaflet clearly states any delivery over 3miles will cost a pound which of cause i dont mind paying but now they have decided i will have to pay 3.00 for a delivery i was goin to order quite a large order but i wont be now neither will i ever be using again, think i will give trading standards a ring on this because like i said it clearly states on their menu any deliveries over 3 miles one pound !!!!! its the principle and obvioulsy no customer service for loyal customers which we were

Had a really lovely takeaway whilst we were staying at Meadowbank Holidays.

Ordered food they said 45ins but it came early. Very good value all dishes were piping hot and good portions . Will definitely use again it was prop best takeaway ever.

I've only had a takeaway once from here when my friend used to live in Southbourne (and when Hong Kong Kitchen used to be on Kimberley Road) but nevertheless the prices are very reasonable, the portions are massive and the time it took to process and deliver the order was very swift. I'd say it took no more than 15 minutes in total, though we weren't too far from the place itself, so your delivery times may vary. I recommend you try them out, however they moved to Iford, so if you only just lived in the delivery radius beforehand, you might have to look elsewhere or pay a few quid to get your delivery.

I love their food!! Never had a bad dish yet and after a lifetime of eating questionable Chinese cuisine, I consider my search for a great Asian takeaway is over. Not the cheapest but I don't want the cheapest. When it comes to food, the cheapest is rarely the best. In fact, often times the cheapest food is made from the cheapest ingredients, and the cheapest ingredients are even less likely to produce a delicious dish. Also I think that most people cannot be sure of the skill level of the most important ingredient of them all - the cook. Rest assured, these guys are great. They have an incredible menu including Thai and Chinese and I hope to try them all one day, if I can! My recommendation is completely freely and honestly given and I am more than happy to compliment skill when applied with such delicious results. Ps. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are what I consider completely reasonable, especially considering I am on a very limited income and always try to get get good value for money...Enjoy!!
