a while ago i said, they must've changed a chef or something,, as rice wasn't the same as it was.honestly - i ordered for pick up today and the rice was amazing again. + shechuan + kung po obviously. Well done to the staff. thank you

Its a chinese, not the best ,not the worst. Pretty cheap.

Just had my first order from Hong Kong inn, and won't be ordering again, the king prawn curry was congealed sauce full of peas and onion, prawns were not great. The special foo young came in a smaller container than other Chinese take aways, no flavour and not much egg, the pancake roll was soggy and not cooked enough,

It started pretty well with food being brought to the counter within a couple of minutes of me placing the order & staff were friendly (despite initially overcharging me). The curry was extremely thick and 'glupey' - not a pleasant consistency. There seemed to be relatively few shrimps in the curry, and I found the flavour lacking and unauthentic. Overall, possibly one of the worst Chinese curries that I've eaten. First time of using this takeaway and based on this experience, sadly will not be returning.

Price on delivery different from what quoted on order and food lukewarm after half of delivery, also a big chunk of fat on duck..not impressed

Chips were not cooked, virtually raw, unedible, rice was ok, although did ask for no prawns but still had them, luckily not too allergic.

he often receives good quality advertisements from them ... if the owner spent the money on cleaning it would be fine ... it is so dirty there that I wonder how there can be such a place and still serve food for people .... poisoning.

Absolutely disgusting reheated food, not the first time either but defiantly the last. Didnt even understand the meaning of customer service

Not good. Beef curry had a prawn in it, I'll give it a miss in future, really didn't taste good.

Worst food I have ever had from a Chinese takeaway a foul rancid taste and when I called to inform them there might be a problem with the cooking oil they offered me an insulting £10 and sent the driver back to pick the food back up AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just love a chinese curry & I think theirs is the best one in Shirley for flavour & thickness of sauce. Always throw in a bag of crackers as a gift. Cash only.

I have used this chinese for many years, in my opinion the best. I lived in st james park for years they always delivered promp. I moved away and came back 2 years ago and still great and delier well.

Tonight's food was warmed up hard chips curry sauce like gravy food was atrocious cold if you want to throw your money away be my guest but I will never go there again after being a good customer very disappointed

Had take away delivered Saturday 7th March 2020. I have travelled the Far East and the world in my 70 odd years, but I can honestly say this was the most disgusting Chinese I have EVER experienced. Besides being only warm, the spring rolls were not cooked, egg fuyong was running with fluid and was awful. Each meat and veg dish was was not cut nicely and was large chunks in a tasteless fluid, dreadful. Everything except the crackers went into the bin, not even fit for recycling. Don't recommend this establishment, should be closed down.

Great food, cooked quickly, with friendly and helpful staff.

The beef curry was very chewy and my Fiancees egg foo yung was swimming in fat. Would not reccomend and its little surprise the takeaway has recently carried out a big leaflet drop which has probably further reduced the size of the Amazon rain forest in a desperate attempt to drum up business for a business in decline. Avoid if you like Chinese food as not even my dog would touch this!

Absolutely rank. The fried rice was swimming in oil so was the egg foo young. Chips were cold and soaked in fat. Wouldn't ever order from here again

Used to be my local takeaway, i always went there on payday, brilliant food, amazing customer service.

Speedy service even if delivered never had bad meal at all well cooked never a problem

If I could review without a star, I would. Not only was the food awful/not what we ordered but when we phoned to complain we were greeted with a very hostile woman and a chef who just said may be we should order mild!! It was the wrong dish!! What a waste of £36!!
