Terrible quality of food had chicken curry beef curry fried rice chicken chowmein special fried rice awful would never recommend

Used to be good value for money, not now. Chicken balls (9 pieces)and chips used to be £6.80 then it went up to £8.60 with 8 pieces. Last night I got it and had 7 pieces of chicken. Is that how they operate? No complaints about the quality of the food but the portion reductions seems sneaky.

My first time here and wow it was amazing, the absolute best chicken and pineapple I've ever had. Will definitely be back. Only niggle was the shop was freezing while waiting. Thank you.

Best chinese in the Falkirk/Grangemouth area. Lovely food with a huge menu. Crab legs are especially delicious. Very kind and polite Lady who work front of house also. I don't know if they are open at Christmas? 5 stars.

I call up beforehand to check my request was suitable and I cannot speak more highly of the team. They not only helped with my shortcomings but also were so kind and considerate towards the situation. 10 out of ten. Yet to taste the meal however it was cooked infront of my eyes and the amount of curry sauce was unreal 👌

Good all round takeaway. We get from here often and haven't had an issue.

Great for Chinese food and some traditional British dishes

Ordered a few things from Hongs in the last few months although I've never been particularly thrilled by the quality of the meals they've filled a hole. However last night's meal was the kicker that made sure I won't be back. Ordered the Pork in black pepper sauce with chow me in noodles. Pork was so chewy it felt like I was chewing gum and the sauce was overly salty to the point I stopped eating after a few fork fulls. When I had been previously the snack box's had been okay and solid value for money. However any proper meals haven't been the best. Overall I don't think Hongs should be your first choice Chinese maybe 3rd choice if others are very busy. Probably best staying too the staple dishes rather than trying something new if you do decide to order here.

Went in order a beef curry ended up with a diced tyer and brown water stuff had bad curry's in my time this tops the lot

Tasty food, friendly staff, fast service. Orders tend to be missing an item or two if you have ordered a lot. Make sure to check before leaving the restaurant or when taking delivery.

My muchy box of sweet & sour chicken in batter was a bit soggy & the sause was a bit too watery & tasted off vinegar, I could only eat halve of it & had to discard the rest of it. Next day I went back to the best Chinese for miles around - FULL HOUSE in Grangemouth - their Chicken 🐥 Kon Sui (hot) has a lovely spicy taste from it, along with the chicken that just melts in ones mouth as with all of their food - go in there at the back of Asda fuel ⛽ station & u won't be disappointed 👍

Go there a lot and usually enjoy went on Wed 15th june ordered a thai special chow mein and a Chicken in a tom yum sauce. They gave me the wrong dish and would not listen to me in that regard saying that it was the correct dish but as i always get the same i knew it wasn't they would not change it and were very rude lost a good customer. wont recomend them any more.

One of the worse Chineses I've had. Chicken balls were cremated, chips were black. Chicken was rubbery. Chilli salt chicken was unedible because of how spicey it was. Really disappointed

After many delicious meals over years from Hong's I visited last night as a takeaway treat for myself and my parents. It had been over 2 years since my last one as having moved house. Ordered: Chicken satay starter.... It was so overcooked and dry you could have soled shoes with it nevermind get your teeth thru it! Tom Yum Chicken was tender but the Tom Yum sauce was watery and no Tom Yum taste or heat! I saw a munchy box advertised and at £16 I thought it must be good.... ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Everything was deep fried (Looked as if they had partially cooked it even before that) THEN chucked in a wok with so much salt that none of us could eat anything! I called to complain and was advised that no one has complained about that before and that's the way they do it. No offer of replacement... No offer of refund... Service to match the food served! I have worked in restaurant management for over 20 years and this looks like reheats / pre prepped partially cooked / no fresh cooking or flavour / no proper cooking skills except how to work a fryer and apply excessive amounts of salt! Possibly different management from years ago! The worst meal I have ever had! Went straight into the bin! Very disappointing!

A disaster from start to finish. New girl answering the the phones, "hello". 10 mins later you think she's finally got your order. Gives the price because they are cash only. You phone back because its way too cheap and you get "hello", I've got your order right. So over an hour later no delivery. Drivers got lost. Turns up, wait for it, with the wrong order at a way higher price. Phone them back to redeliver whole order. Which they do ,then try and charge you a higher price , because its your fault somehow. AVOID

Consistently high quality food, friendly staff and effective delivery service. If you don't have a menu, just ask for something. Staff will confirm that they do this, or offer other options. They always point out if there is a deal to be had. Will also make additions to dishes. It's worth a visit, as food preparation is on view - it's amazing!

Too busy trying to fire the food out quick. Substandard and no two meals the same. Final straw tonight was my supposed salt and pepper chips, turned out to be chips with and onion through them.

So tonight we ate sweet & sour Chicken Balls with fried rice, shredded crispy chicken with honey & sweet chilli, chowmein noodles and we all agreed that each dish was most enjoyable, will order from here again, thank you. Ordering and delivery to our door was friendly

We normally buy from them and enjoy but this time I don't know whether it's due to business being slow or a new cook but it was nowhere near as enjoyable. I couldn't eat the onion rings. Done well but covered in excess with salt. The chicken in the curry was stringy and chewy I gave up. So disappointed. Not their usual.

Had a few meals,gave them the benefit of the doubt, had a take a way Jan 9th, chips were hard and cold, prawn crackers were just the same, poor sized portions,£11.00 , put in the bin,.

Best shredded crispy chicken ive tasted in ages

First time at Hong tonight and we will definitely be returning customers! The chicken in the curries was quite chewy and we prefer it tender bit that personal taste and all in all we were very happy. Quick, inexpensive and very tasty!!

Quite good food , parking out front can be quite busy but you can see your food being made which is always good. Delivery seems to be pretty consistent and quality seems to only occasionally drop. Prices aren't too far off average and portion size is fine.

Our new take away. Still figuring it out tbh but so far almost everything I've had I've enjoyed.

Fantastic food. Delivered very fast. Not expensive. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time.

For over 3 years now we have ordered from here and never had an issue. Recently however when you call your immediately put on hold for several minutes, you are then met with an abrupt and rude member of staff who can't get you off the phone quick enough as she is clearly serving other people!! Your clearly need more staff!!! If you get the local older woman she will do everything in her power to make sure you get what you want. They have changed their salt and pepper chips!!🤢🤢 why?? If it's not broke don't fix it.. I asked for the old style one week and got it then asked the following week and was told no.. too busy.. I've called this evening and was told well over and hour for delivery...then before I finished my order she hung up with the usual 'Ok thank you bye'... this wasn't the first time we have had issues with their customer service but as the food was good we tolerated it!.. enough was enough tonight I called them back to cancel and was told 'fine bye' .. we are now trying another chinease who have actually taken the orderand delivered before I have finished writing this review.... manners cost nothing... Will never order from there again... long time customer gone due to lack of customer service ... simple... that costs nothing!

Good food and very reasonably priced.

Hongs is one of the best the best in town Chinese take away. I order a snacks box which had the following,all for for just 5p. 1) 5 Huge portions chicken balls, a bit oily, deep fried, very soft... 2) Chinese plain fried rice, nice aroma, well cooked with black sauce. 3) Finally come the best - as a spicy lover they suggested me to go with curry sauce, and it was the best, went one on one with chicken balls and fried rice. This place sell a reusable chopstick made up of bamboo for 1p, its gud feel to experience it. Quantity vise it not a snacks box it even equal to meal box. Very good qunatity, stomach filling, and a gud taste.
