Honest Burgers in Lambeth

Visited this restaurant with family. It is fairly small inside and was very busy with people queuing. Two out of the four of our burgers were raw inside! We raised this with the staff and they insisted one was cooked medium in their eyes but acknowledged the other one was not cooked. We therefore asked for the two replacements to be medium well done. Having waited 15 mins the replacements arrived, one as requested and the other medium, which looked medium rare!! They offered to replace it again and the after another 15mins a replacement arrived cooked properly. To be fair the manager did not charge us for the two burgers which were incorrect, but unfortunately the experience was already really poor as we could not eat together as a family. The restaurant is so busy they just don’t seem to be taking care cooking the burgers properly and providing good service. The focus is on turning over the tables as quickly as possible.

OMG! I like burgers and I visited Honest Burgers and my experience was amazing because I enjoyed my Smash doble beef burger 🍔 plus a Lemonade absolutely I recommend this place if you want to take a lunch ! I'm happy 😊 thank you for excellent service

Good burgers at a good price. They come with very delicious potatoes seasoned with spices. Highly recommended site for London prices. In case you are interested, the tap water is very good and they give you free jugs.

If you want a great burger at the end of a great day, I happily recommend Honest Burgers at the Southbank Centre by the Royal Festival Hall. It's one of the best Burgers I've ever eaten, and I've eaten quite a few.

I ordered a takeaway here two days in a row while in this part of town for dinner. It was a really easy to walk to the shop, order what I wanted and get it to go. Very friendly staff.

Best burger in a long time, cooked perfectly medium rare. I had the honest burger with rosemary fries and onion rings. Just great food and great service all the staff we’re really nice and attentive. Will definitely come back next time i am in london

Honest burgers, but NOT SO HONEST staff. We visited in June of this year. We arrived (party of 2) and were places in a queue at the door, we were told it should be about 15 mins. About 10 minutes later, two ladies joined the queue and stood behind us to wait. After about 5 mins, one of the ladies went to the hostess and told her “can you just seat us quickly and we won’t tell anyone” the hostess then said “ok go stand in queue (this was behind us again) and i will call yall over.” After about 30 secs they were called to be seated. I immediately went to the hostess and her response was “oh I thought you left” this is after looking at me dead in the eye and calling the girls behind us. Ask to speak to her manager and basically the manager sided with her, said that she is new and made a mistake and that she thought we left. I told her we would like to be seated now, she said she only had seats in the window (stools) or outside. I let her know that we would be leaving a 1 star review, her response “well then you should find somewhere else to eat if that’s your intention.” We were starving and had just come off an 11 hour flight and it was one of the few places that offered a vegetarian burger nearby. So we ended up sitting outside in the cold and drizzling rain, while the customers behind us enjoyed a prime seat in the warm restaurant. Eventually we asked to move as the weather and temperature weren’t ideal. The food is honestly great, but not worth it with that service.

Female staff was so rude. We ordered single smash burger, they’ve given us double. When we told them they said we’re not going to charge you so take one of them off. When we asked for a bill they’ve actually charged us for double which was a shame! We told them about the mistake and a very rude lady who works in bar said “ok the difference won’t make us cheap or poor, now would you like me to give you the difference”!!!! I’m so sorry for your attitude. Be careful if you have to speak with her, she is soooo rude

Excellent food and service. The food is of quality and reasonable price. We met a Spanish waiter who was very friendly. The best thing of all if you are cel·liaco is that they can make the entire menu gluten-free, you just have to inform the service. My celiac son liked the food so much that the other day we went to the honest buffer in South Kensington and the experience was just as good. Of course, you have to go early or make a reservation because it is usually very full, in our case we had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was worth it.

Food was decent. It’s an above average burger chips are average. Service was poor maybe it’s cos they were busy. But came with two children. Their kids drinks and food came out 10 minutes after the adult food. Server never checked on us and chucked food infront of us and was quite rude.

It was my 3rd time in Honest burger but 1st in this location and definietely will not come back here. The burger was dark from one side, and the fries looked like the leftovers from someone else's plate. The taste of the burger was ok despite the fact it was with burned cheese (I guess they didn't clean burned cheese from the grill and just put the meat on it). The waitress was very nice but we had to ask twice to get napkins and fork, didn't get it at all.

All their products and burgers are excellent. The treatment from Javier, your waiter, was great. An experience to repeat on our next visit to London!

This was a nice place to stop while walking along the Thames. The burgers were good and I really liked the onion rings. The portion sizes were also nice — not too big or too small.

So there is a special offer for the Smashed burger and rosemary fries for 9.50. Having not had a smashed burger before I thought Honest Burger would be a good place to try it. Was terribly disappointed probably the worst burger I’ve had from there. You’ve got this thin lifeless patty with hardly any dressing or filling. And what’s up with these oversalted rosemary fries? They were practically inedible and they had bring another portion with the rosemary salt separately. This seems to be a consistent problem throughout the branches. I’ve had some good burgers in the past from Honest but this is not one of them. I will have to look elsewhere for my smashed burger experience. This is definitely not what the hype is about.

Found it almost by chance while looking for a burger in London. The sandwiches are amazing and the chips are no different! The beers are also good. Absolutely recommended! Truly a nice surprise

Great burgers, kids loved it too. Gluten free bread was a big plus and it tasted good. There were a lot of issues paying the bill, their system had almost 1 hour down time and we had to wait for quite a while to leave.

Drink, burger and fries all good. Rum punch great. Wings were amazing! That sauce that came with the wings was great with the fries! Not a fan of the rosemary on the fries, but that’s a minor complaint.

Enjoyed our experience on a sunny weekday evening. Sat outside which was the better option compared to inside (inside appeared quite cramped) The waiter Naveen was friendly and attentive and made ordering a breeze. We opted for the set menu and i think it was value for money with good portion sizes. A slight upsell opportunity for them if you choose to have a beer over a soft drink. Burger was tasty, asked for medium rare but I think they are all cooked to medium through repetition of cooking but overall a good experience, would visit again.

Excellent burgers, also recommended with a "salad" as a side dish instead of the classic chips (among other things, those are also delicious). Fast and courteous, quiet outside environment, good music inside (a little too loud but only because we were with children!). Recommended and worth trying 😊

A place with a great atmosphere and decoration. Very close if you are in the London Eye area. Average/economical price. We went to try the meat burgers (according to their advertising they are from their own livestock) but curiously we ate a chicken one which is the special of the month (or the local one, I'm not very clear). Very good service, giving us a table without prior reservation and perfectly attended to by the girl who was there with the indoor tables. Good option for dinner. The burgers are a little small, but good quality. Bulk potatoes!

Honest burgers quality has dipped. What was once a reliable and potentially my favourite burger to get in London, sorry to say that that isn't the case anymore from my most recent experience. The burgers come out and the first impression is 'shrinkflation'- the burger visibly looks a lot smaller than memory. Second impression by pressing down on the bun is that it's on the verge of being stale. Take a bite and it is not fluffy at all. Next, the amount of topping inside the burger is very stingy. Lastly the chips were overcooked, beyond crispy, it's like they had been refried because they had been sitting around. None of the signature rosemary flavour could be tasted. When you're paying £30 for 2 burgers and chips, I really expect it to be a lot better than this. Looks like I'll be sticking to five guys from now on.

They have three types of chicken burgers (halal), pesto and buffalo, and I forgot the third I tried them and unfortunately they were bad and tasted like oil, which I didn't like to be honest Their prices range from 10-14 pounds The service is fast The place has very small outdoor seating areas

Their burgers are filling and delicious. If you are near London Eye, this is a place where you can fill your stomach.

This place does absolutely delicious rosemary salted chips and burgers. Scrumptious! A good place to spend with family or friends. We came at 11:30am on a Monday and it wasn’t busy at all.

Continuing on my quest to try every Honest Burger house special. I've got to say that this has been one of my favouites. Honest beef, Smoked bacon, Waterloo cheese, Garlic pickle. Red onion and Baby spinach combined excellently - so far the only other site which comes close has been Hammersmith. The restaurant itself nicely layed out with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Service felt so rushed, gave us one menu between 3 and asked us every minute if we were ready to order and not very nicely. Could tell they didn’t know what they were doing because they gave us double onion rings without realising, food was sub par compared to how the food from honest burgers usually is. I love honest burgers and eat at different branches regularly and was very disappointed with this one

We ordered the Buffalo fried chicken and the truffle fried chicken, note that only chicken is Halal in this restaurant but it was delicious, we had also onion rings which very tasty diffenetly I will go back to this restaurant

Honestly, poor burger. As a burger shop, only 2 elements - burger and chips. And they fail both. In between these two, good chips may be more essential than good burger (of course depends on how they position themselves, e.g. Mcdonalds, you may fancy their fries more than burgers). Their chips may not be made from frozen as they claimed, but quite certain that not made fresh either. It was warm, but tasted old, not fresh. They may make a big batch and keep warm. So even Mcdonalds fries are made from frozen, but they always taste fresh if you eat immediately. Of course, for the price I have paid, I would not expect the quality of triple fried chips. But tasting fresh is basic. So let's move to burger. The burger I ordered is a smashed burger. So what I expected was thinner patty with burger crust, where the favour coming from. But the crust was underwhelmed. Also, a bit lack of sauce. Other than that, the taste of buns, sauce, and pickle were what you expected, but not notable. Patty were seasoned. Overall, not great, even not good burger. They were doing much better when they were in Brixton back to a decade ago. Unfortunately, more shops they open, poorer of quality.

Never been in this location but staff very friendly and caring. Food as always amazing. Perfect service I’ll be back again for sure

Reliable as ever, Honest Burgers at Southbank made for a fab pre theatre dining option. Julia the Manager and her team do a great job of welcoming guests and the smashed burgers were standout delicious. Slight issue on our recent visit was the volume of the music which has crept up to become anything but background and felt a little inhospitable!

Very friendly service, quick and easy burgers. You cannot go better than Honest!! If you have yet to go, check it out

We were walk-ins on a warm summer's evening and sat outside on the pavement on The Cut, which has become a really vibrant place to drink and eat. My burger was nice, though I thought the fries were a bit bitty (where a lot of them were about an inch long and it makes you feel that they were at the end of the cook of that batch. It didn't affect the taste, though. The waiter was friendly.

Honestly one of the best hamburgers I ever had! The chips with rosemary tastes really good too.

Solo un po’ di attesa prima di prendere posto all’interno, per il resto è una buona scelta per chi si trovasse a passare in questa zona di South Bank. Saporito l’hamburger, la carne è di buona qualità, e gustose anche le patatine al rosmarino. Locale carino e personale gentile.

Unfortunately the wrong bun was served with the burger! People with celiac disease should under no circumstances eat there!!!

Absolutely impossible! Stick a sticker with gluten free on the box and put a gluten citizen inside! Now I am sick! When we asked inside (where it was already too late) the chef immediately said yes, yes with gluten. So their principle is to swap orders and stick a sticker somewhere. Not recommended for celiacs!!!!!!!!!

It's just an "ok" burger. Ordered through Uber Eats and when it arrived, it was slightly warm. Ordered the "double" smashed burger and when they say "smashed" they aren't kidding. The problem is they over cook it, at least mine was. It was burnt through so it was more like eating a charcoal briquet so there wasn't much taste left. The onion ring on the other hand was a thick slice of onion, nicely battered but undercooked. The coleslaw was good but overall, I've had better burgers. I realize it would have been hotter/fresher had a visited in person, but that's no excuse for sending something less than. It's not as if they charge less for using delivery and in fact, I had to pay more with delivery fees so you would think they would take care to ensure it was wrapped in a way that would preserve the warmth. And my delivery location was only a few minutes away.

In the days we were in London, we returned several times to the honest. We have always found friendly and helpful staff, as well as excellent sandwiches. We liked it!

Upmarket McDonalds experience to me. London has way more to offer. It was super noisy and crowded, too.

Been there 3 times. First time the burgers were really good, I was even asked how I want my burger cooked, it all felt like a high-class small place and even though the prices are high I enjoyed it very much for the great food. Great food for high price it made sense. I waited a good 20 minutes for the food back then but it was worth it. I recommended to acquaintances and went with them a second time, food was a bit worse even though I did order the same meal. And then the third time I completely disliked it. It was weekends, so I'm suspecting quality highly drops when there's a sea of people all day at the place. Music extremely loud can't have a conversation, was suggested to get the day's "special" and I was not asked how I want my burger at all and it got to me really quick like it was an ordered meal that got refused or something. Not even the onion rings were good anymore, they were huge and bad. The burger felt like old burger meat, I don't know if they changed their cooks or it's just weekend things speed-cooking or whatnot but I'm definitely not going there a fourth time. There's places that are more faired price and with better food... Definitely don't try it in the weekends when the place is full. I'd give 2 stars, but it just feels like such a highly overrated place based on my previous 2 experienced and the prices are so unfair for what is offered that I will not

Honest Burger is one of my favourite places, their rosemary chips are simply perfect and today I finally tasted the gravy and is even better

Since I do not eat bacon and beef, I went to this place with low expectations but their buffalo chicken burger was amazing. I was so satisfied and happy with the food, the burger was delicious and juicy. Due to some season offer they had two options for the chicken burger, Ms Nataile very well understood what I would like more and her suggestion was on point. I will definitely go to Honest Burgers to eat a juicy chicken burger again.

I’ve been to this location a few times and I haven’t ever been let down! Surprisingly I’ve always caught it when it was not so crowded so we have always received our service quickly. Highly recommend for great food and nice staff!

It was my first trip to London and I had a whole lot on my list, one that was added later was Honest Burgers and I’m so glad I visited. These were by far the best burgers I have ever had. Not a foodie but when it comes to reviews some just deserve them. I had the California Fried Chicken Burger and I ate it all!! The sauce was delicious and the combination of the pimento cheese is something I had never tried.They were by far the freshest ingredients too and that’s what made these burgers the best. Something that adds to your experience with great food is great service and we had an amazing server “Mitchi” (From Greece). He was friendly and funny. He struck a conversation and made our experience there even better. I happened to spill my entire drink and he replaced it at no added cost which I really appreciated. Thank you Honest Burgers, that was a good meal for a tourist and I will return. Had a take a picture off your website as I didn’t click one myself.
