Very colourful and cosy dining room which the exterior doesn’t suggest. For whatever reason I had been putting off visiting as I had a niggling doubt - I was wrong and I should have been long before. THE most flavourful meal I’ve had maybe ever. The use and knowledge of spices is amazing and the beef I had was just bursting with flavour. Superbly presented selection of four dishes in one which complemented each other nicely and offered many textures and flavours. All rounded off with quick polite service… this is a simple authentic no nonsense kind of place that’s all about the food and food doesn’t get much better

Decided to try the Bento boxes as both hubby and myself wanted something different without being too filling , we both thoroughly enjoyed the different tastes and would def try other boxes

Food quality consistently outstanding. Favourites - Prawn & cashew nuts stir fry as well as Bone beef BBQ ribs starter both amazing. Service excellent, would highly recommend.

We'd travelled a fair distance for a birthday lunch, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Lovely layout & decoration, friendly and efficient staff. The starters (we chose one of the mixed starter options) were excellent. Of the three main courses we ordered the prawn tamarind was our favourite, though both the others were really nice. It was definiely worth the journey.

The nearest you’ll get to authentic Thai food in Scotland. We returned here with friends after a fantastic meal 2 weeks ago as we just love Thai food. We’re frequent visitors to Thailand so I can guarantee that this is as good as it gets outwith the region. Starters, mains, dessert, wine, cocktails and staff are simply outstanding and I can’t wait to go back You guys have got it sussed! Tremendous service too 5 *****

We last ate here in previous layout but now the restaurant has been fully renovated we opted to sample again and it is stunning inside. I can honestly say it is consistently excellent, delicious Thai food, exceptional staff and reasonable priced.

It’s hard not to keeping praising the newly refurbished @home. We haven’t been there since it reopened. All we can say is WOW! Not only have they retained the lovely and attentive staff and the superb quality of their authentic Thai cuisine, with a revamped menu, but they have doubled the restaurant size and the décor, in a traditional Thai style is utterly magnificent - absolutely beautiful. This is without doubt the premier restaurant in Ayr and the beacon of standard that other food businesses should follow. Absolutely well done to owner and staff. Utterly awarding winning.

First time visiting the restaurant. As fans of Thai food we are always looking for new restaurants and this one did not disappoint. The decor is lovely. The staff were super attentive and the food was delicious. I had dim sum and then tamarind duck. They were flavoursome and well presented. Husband enjoyed both his dishes and they were generous portion sizes.Wine was reasonably priced. There were tables for two and for large groups.

We went for dinner with friends we had starters and mains and we could not fault anything. Staff were attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere 😃 and we loved the decor. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible service in a very authentic feeling Thai restaurant. The food was fabulous. We enjoyed a sharing starter which was really tasty and well described and cooked. We both chose fish based rice bowls and they were amazing. So very tasty.

We have tried various food places in Ayr and nothing compares. My friends and I ordered three dishes (Thai green curry, massalam curry and pad Thai chicken and prawn). Each one was so different but so perfect, the flavour was so rich. We all accidentally over-ate because the food was so good. Also I’m coeliac and there were plenty of gluten free options.

Love the authentic Thai food they prepare! I have been coming here since the restaurant opened..never disappointed

Four of us had an excellent meal, good quality and well cooked and presented. Decor is nice and staff are friendly.Concerns? Either the steak in my mixed grill was very tough or the steaks knife was blunt.Staff where taking plates away when other people where still eating, having to go between them and upsetting the dining experience (all very friendly mind) I got the impression they wanted the table for next set of customers, which is not a great feeling when your having a meal.Overall I was impressed but not sure if I would go back

I went just as the restaurant had opened for the day, they did have a lunch menu but i just ordered from the normal one. The food was fantasic i cant stress how good it was! the thai green curry was as good as i have ever had. I will be back 100%

Been here a few times in the past but as this may well be our last visit to Ayr for a long time we got a carry out from here. My wife had the chicken ginger and I had the beef with oyster sauce. Flavours where just great. Every mouthful was just delicious and you could taste the ginger and both meats were just tender and good quality. We will miss the many excellent eating places in Ayr but this is in the top three for us. Quality and presentation kept to a very high standard over a long period of time.....very difficult to do but this place manages it. Well done and thanks for all the great food we have had here over the last 4/5 years.

We had a wonderful time here. I've had family up all week and have eaten out most days but this place is by far one of the best places I have been to in a long long time. We last visited Thailand in the late 80s and I always loved the food and this just took my husband and I back in a flash. Staff are fantastically helpful. If you haven't been then it's a must.

We found the staff very welcoming, Covid friendly and had a lovely atmosphere. Initially when we called they only had an early evening booking which we accepted but initially wanted a later one. They called us back a bit later with a later time which we really appreciated. The food was 10 out of 10 and found it very fresh and authentic. Parking was right across the street and free. Overall would highly recommend and would certainly return

Can’t believe how great the food was in @ Home Thai! The owner was so obliging for us too. We wanted a table at 5pm but when he said we would have to vacate the restaurant at 6pm for a large party we felt we would be rushed and were going to cancel the booking. When he said we could arrive early by about 20 minutes - we took him up on this offer. The Thai food was the best we have ever tasted! So much choice too. It was served quickly and efficiently and was piping hot.

An amazing experience. The food was wonderful, full of flavours and delicious. The service was excellent and we were looked after very well. The atmosphere and decoration are also very pleasant. We will definitely go back there. Prices decent too but even better because of the eat out to help out scheme. You need to book as full up! A little side point too, the toilets were spotless which is always a good thing!

We booked this table for my partner’s birthday and it was a perfect experience. The food was simply outstanding and the service was first class (friendly, polite, welcoming, and attentive) Rarely does every person in a party enjoy their dish and have absolutely 0 complaints- but this was the case in @Home. Each dish was delicious, and the presentation was both spotless and thoughtful.Having not mentioned or asked for any extras for my partners birthday, we received a small dessert for free. My partner’s mother also stated “nothing for me” to the waiter for dessert and they responded with the entertainment of “nothing” written in chocolate sauce on a dessert plate. In summary, one of the best meals and experiences that I’ve been lucky to have, having dined around the world.

Have dined in numerous times and had a number of takeaways too. I have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, light and full of flavour. The service is always impeccable. 10/10 every time.

Very disorganised this group were visually impaired and there was guide dogs with them and were told to leave them where you hung your coats up pointed out this was not correct and after a conversation we were shown our table again not very practical when meals arrived they seemed not to be able to handle large group as things were a big mixed up

Booked for 6:30 and found it busy even though it was blowing a gale outside. Very friendly staff in this small restaurant and we experienced excellent service. Starters of dim sum and vegetable and prawn pairs were tasty followed by a delicious prawn fried rice in a pineapple shell and a massaman curry, all very tasty. To fill for desserts but there looked too be some original options on the menu. Very nice.

Having travelled extensively in Thailand over the years it’s great to find a local restaurant that brings Thailand to Ayr! Friendly and helpful Thai staff, consistently excellent food and the takeaway service is super fast!

Delicious food! We’ve not visited before but decided to try it on our visit to Ayr, having read excellent reviews. It certainly lived up to expectations. We received a very warm, friendly welcome. Food was served speedily and efficiently and we enjoyed every mouthful.

Popped in Saturday lunchtime for the lunch menu. Absolutely superb ... starters and main courses x3 were all delicious looking and equally good tasting. Great ambience and really friendly and attentive staff. Wish this place was round the corner from our house !!!!

Spur of the moment decision to have lunch. At 13.00 we got a table, just in time as within 30 minutes every table was taken. Friendly and superb service. We started with prawn crackers and if you think they're the same everywhere, think again then prawn tempura, cheese spring roll and veg tempura... made me think about turning veggie!!!.. wow...the best thing I've eaten in years. Next came a Panang prawn curry, khao mun gai tod(fried coconut chicken strips) and a massaman chicken curry...fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. With wine soft drinks coffee and desserts £80

We try to visit here when we visit our son & his wife and we are never disappointed. Food, service and atmosphere is exceptional. Our only regret is that there is not one in Lichfield

My hubbie and I booked @home for a rare date night and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was busy, clean, beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly, welcoming and polite. But, the food is the winner. Each meal is prepared with fine, fresh ingredients - you can taste each ingredient, all perfectly matched to the palate and beautifully presented, and all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back.

Every time we visit this restaurant we can’t wait to go back,it just gets better every visit.The staff are typical of Thai people with genuine happy personalities and always glad to see you.The food is superb from spicy soups to stir fries and fish,there’s something there for everyone and plenty of chicken and steaks for those “scared” from Thai food,it’s not all hot any any dish can be made to suit your palate.Always busy and advisable to book in advance.Tyson,Am and staff keep up the good work.

We had dinner just before Christmas. Couldn’t fault anything, food and service were superb. Found it excellent value for money and the quality was great.

It’s not exactly the best location in the world, but.... Superb authentic Thai food; superb service, and reasonable prices. It was better than many big city restaurants, we will be back!

We visited with friends after booking weeks ago. We were told at the time of booking we could only have the table for one and a half hours. Food was excellent and could not be faulted, but the approach of the manager leaves a bad taste . I felt we were rushed with drink top ups when not ready . When we asked for coffee with 20 mins to go he looked at his watch . Then promptly after bringing the coffee the waitress came to “ add on a table for next guests “ while we were drinking our liquor coffee which cost £6 a time . We got the message loud and clear and got up to leave . I went to the toilet and interestingly observed the manager and waitress removing the “add on table “ and returning it to original state !! Not good and although I loved the food we will not return as our bill or £137 would be welcome elsewhere.

This has been a great find everything totally delicious tom yam soup to die for we travel from Portpatrick as often as is possible for lunch Chuck is amazing out front attentive and very professional its a must Thai green curry to die for would definatley reccomend

We were there as a large party of 15 for our friends retirement lunch.The food was excellent,very fresh,hot snd flavoursome.The staff are very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive.The menu has many options and there is also a set menu for £13 which is well worth the price,the serving size was equal to that from the main menu.Overall we were all super impressed and would highly recommend to anyone.

Visited with a group of friends for a weekend dinner... food was amazing, especially the prawn pineapple rice... served in a 1/2 pineapple and super tasty. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Definitely be back soon, a lovely novelty to have in Ayr.

OK a Thursday early evening in September, no need to book right?? How wrong can you be. We did not have a reservation but they quickly found a table and said we need the table back by 7.30, now i can deal with this but always at the back of my mind i think "Depends on how quick your service is" no need to worry here, the place was full after another half an hour though, The Staff (Seem like family) are friendly attentive and super quick, we had Singha, mixed starters and mains, could not fault anything. Were back up next week and i have booked a table this time!! I am not missing out on this dining experience, would reccomend to anyone who enjoys good food and service.

Food was amazing my partner and I both got the same had prawn curry and the eggy fried rice, would defo go back and get that again aswell.

Warm welcome from friendly staff, caters for Gluten Free and good is delicious and healthy. Carry out is a great option too.

Just had the takeaway but the decor of the place looks great. And staff are also. I had the tom yum prawn soup I think which was nice. Thai chicken curry was also nice maybe a little too spicy

This restaurant was recommended by a friend so decided to give it a try when we had guests who had previously lived in Thailand for a few years. What a treat! Friendly welcoming cheery staff, lovely setting and great menu. Food is EXCELLENT and so authentic, biggest problem was deciding what to choose. Will definitely be back. Obviously very popular especially Friday and Saturday nights but also open lunch times.

Decided to have a Sunday family lunch out and we were delighted we chose @Home. 4 of us had 2 coursew from the lunch menu. I had Thai fish cakes followed by the Thai duck curry. All the food looked good, fresh ingredients beautifully cooked and presented. Would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, very attentive and polite staff.

What a great little restaurant. Fantastic friendly Thai service, expansive menu, good drinks choice and a lovely atmosphere. Very popular and no wonder. Fabulous food. Big portions but no problem in taking a doggy bag away at the end. Thai iced tea was awesome way to finish. Ayr needs this place so please try it.

As both my husband and I love Thai we decided to give this place a try, it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent the waitress and waiter were brilliant. The food absolutely delicious the Green Curry was very tasty I would recommend the Coconut Rice along with it.

We were lucky enough to get a table on Monday evening for three. The quality of food, service, seating and staff was excellent. Unfortunately we are not local or we would eat here often. Highly recommend for a very enjoyable meal.

I have been here many times and had many takeaways, food has always been amazing. Masaman chicken curry and red thai beef curry are my favourites. Big portions and food is always cooked very well. Restaurant and facilities are lovely and very clean. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. One of my favourite restaurants and take aways.

As almost all reviews mention this is an excellent place for a great Thai meal at a good price. The only two minus points are that even if you have booked a table you usually have to wait 10 to 15 minutes whilst they clear the previous diners. There is nowhere to wait other than the corridor to the toilets

As it is my mums favourite restaurant, we booked here as a family to surprise her for her 50th Birthday.

My son and his wife have dined here on a number of occasions and it is their restaurant of choice in Ayr.

Just visited and felt compelled to write this as the food and service was superb. This was my third visit here in as many months and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

Relatives over from Canada and staying in Ayr and I come form Glasgow. Checked the reviews and booked a table WOW. The food / Drinks and the service all top class wee hidden gem of a restaurant. I will do my best whenever I am back in Ayr to go back. Fair is fair when you get something nice you must share with others and well priced. Many thanks for a great evening to the owner and staff.

I do a lot of travelling throughout the U.K and this is as good a Thai as I’ve had in a long time. Visited three times whilst working in Ayr and each time the service and food have been superb. From simple curries, noodle dishes to something more extravagant, all were first rate. Wish I could take this restaurant back to York with me!

We paid a second visit to @home and were not disappointed with our meal. Enjoyed our meal so much and will certainly be back. The meal was not expensive but the quality was excellent. Staff were very attentive and service was excellent. Would certainly recommend. Can'the wait for our next visit.

@Home never fails to impress, the food is sooo unbelievably delicious, super tasty and is very authentic! The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond! Never met such lovely smiley people, they completely add to the experience! Would recommend to all and will definitely return again and again.

Were it not for slightly overcooked chicken we would have rated this restaurant as "Excellent". Service was attentive (the seafood soup came with the comment "hot, would you like a glass of water?) and most welcoming. Yes, the soup is 2 chilli hot but absolutely delicious and highly recommended. My wife had the satay starter and stated it also as delicious and whilst she would have preferred more satay sauce - it comes on the side - this was offered without prompting. My prawn, green bean etc curry was excellent and, apart from the comment above, my wife loved her green chicken curry. We shared a bowl of jasmine rice, but next time I think we'll have a bowl each as the bowls are not over-generous. Coconut ice cream, also to share, and 2 scoops was sufficient, probably because of my consumption of two Thai beers beforehand! All in all a very nice meal in a very nice restaurant which is clearly very popular - and rightly so. We will be back.

Having been to Thailand a few years ago I am confirm that the food here is 100% authentic Thai. Lovely decor, fantastic food & that respectful, unique service that only Thai people can offer. Next time we’re in Ayr, we’ll certainly be going again.

This is my favourite restaurant in Ayr. Come back time and time again, and will for the foreseeable future. Fantastic authentic fresh food. Lovely staff. Relaxed environment. Only thing is some of the tables are a bit close together and a limited drink selection.

Just had lunch @home today and was blown away by good it was.

Very small portions and very over priced. Food was good not great, £16 for a sirloin steak with 1 bit of lettuce and 1 bit of pepper is a joke.

What a great experience. Tried to get in a couple of weeks ago without a reservation .... no chance! We knew we'd be back in Scotland 2 weeks later so booked for then.

Four of us booked here for a Saturday night and found it to be very busy. At the entrance they also deal with takeaways so gets crowded at certain times.

We have always enjoyed trips here, often going for special occasions. The service is always very friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Good portion size and tasty food. Not particularly cheap but it’s worth it for the great service.

Quick weekend trip up to Ayr culminated in dinner @ Home. Wow. Intimate restaurant with the warmest welcome you could hope for, and the food was just outstanding. If I lived here it would up takeaway every night at the very least. Exquisite

Visited here for lunch on a recommendation and was given a choice of 2 course lunch menu for £12.95 or main menu. Waiter was very friendly and attentive and we both ordered from the lunch menu as the choice for us was excellent.

Happened to be in Ayr on business and went because of the good reviews. Booked Sunday evening after a 230 mile trip. Had the crispy duck in tamarin sauce and without doubt it was the best Thai I have ever had, and I've eaten in a number of the high profile ones in the UK and many in Thailand. It was exquisite. Backed up with a lovely ambience and wonderfully attentive but non intrusive service from Pon our main server it was worth every penny. Well worth the trip and we will be back

One of my favourite places to eat in Ayr. Always try different things from the menu and everything has been amazing. Home made, fresh and authentic.

This wee restaurant just gets better and better.We returned here and were totally blown away with the food,service and atmosphere.Prawn shots to start then loads of mix starters,bang bang pork,garlic prawns,spicy basil beef and choo chee sea bass,everything we had was first class,you can see why this is ranked number 1 restaurant in Ayr,not to be missed.

Back to this restaurant after a few months. It is still very good. Bangkok beef is just delicious, ginger chicken is also very good. One starter between us,,,,two drinks and a bill for £41. It is very reasonably priced. A very, very good restaurant in Ayr that is maintaining it's standard. Service is also very good, attentive, smiling yet not over the top. Pay it a visit and enjoy it.
