We wanted to visit but overshot the visit - a really rude man came running after us for daring to turn infront of his drive! We were no where near his gates! We then went towards the lady well & again encountered rude locals who clearly don’t want people to visit. We gave up & left! Don’t bother.

Holystone is a lovely very small village in such a picturesque area of Northumberland which is well worth visiting. The famous landmark here is the Holystone well, traditionally the site of early Christian baptisms. We were alone on this spot when visiting and it was incredibly beautiful and atmospheric. There are lots of lovely walks in this area and we certainly recommend it.

Wow what a super find when we visited Morpeth last week. We loved the rustic decor, the staff were lovely, the best coffee we had in Northumberland, huge selection of scones, cakes, pies, etc. We opted for cheese scones and we all agreed they were the best ones we've ever had. Highly recommend a visit here, we'll definitely return on our next visit to Northumberland

A recently opened Italian restaurant in Blyth. Unfortunately, the street and surrounding area is in disarray due to road/ground works and area improvement works, making access difficult at times. Was previously called ‘Tudor Café’. Really, this is now a takeaway establishment with seating. Once established, it may offer regular café style food. Plus points – ground floor access, pizza’s fresh and ‘home made’, close to town centre, cheerful staff, coffee is good, evening deliveries, on phone or ‘Blyth Eats’ app. (‘Just Eat’ app shortly, maybe) Minus points – no high chairs, very limited menu, no children’s options, not licensed, lack of ventilation, so considerable cooking smells,

Staying near Hexham on holiday so this was our first time using Indus valley and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful. Piping hot and both meals packed with top quality well cooked meat, very generous portions too. I really couldn't fault it

Disappointed... restaurant right at the back of the garden center...hubby has full English which was adequate.. although the black pudding was likened to a hockey puck..scrabbled egg on toast for me..egg was hard lumps and cold..as was my coffee... overpriced for what it was..
