Wow what a super find when we visited Morpeth last week. We loved the rustic decor, the staff were lovely, the best coffee we had in Northumberland, huge selection of scones, cakes, pies, etc. We opted for cheese scones and we all agreed they were the best ones we've ever had. Highly recommend a visit here, we'll definitely return on our next visit to Northumberland

Looking for somewhere to go for lunch we came here it was really busy but we got a table. We ordered two toasties and a cakes had to take the cakes home as the toastie fill us up. It was lovely and nicely presented and nice and tasty. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. I would go back.

The venue is confusing as to whether it is PLTMMorpeth or Emilys. Nothing is very clear. You have to to order the food at the till but no one tells you that. The cold drinks on the PLTM menu have to be ordered at the other bar. Not all tables have numbers and it is hard to find the toilets. Our food and drink all came in diffrent times and the order was wrong but we did not have the patience to change it. The food and drink was really nice minus the desserts, mine was over baked. Very dissapointed and though food is nice the overall service and experience is a let down.

Firstly I don't normally write bad reviews but we stopped off at PTMY - Emily's tearoom for lunch as we were in the area and all I can say is I wish I hadn't have bothered. We found a table and sat down, I was waiting for the table to be cleared away whilst my OH went to order lunch, needless to say that the table wasn't cleared by the time he got back but a spot on the counter where the waitresses were chatting was very clean. My OH order a couple of pasties for lunch, beans and sausage (his favourite) however what arrived was defiantly not that in fact they were so bad we couldn't tell if they were tuna or beef as they were so dry ... we would have taken them back if there was anyone serving who wasn't so indifferent. Lesson learnt we won't be going back.

We sat outside and watched the world go by whilst drinking our delicious coffees, in fact they were so good that my partner ordered another. Yes, the outdoor seating is on the high street paving, but it does feel very cosmopolitan.

This place used to do one of the best chocolate brownies ever made in the north east. Gluten free with the most fantastic texture and flavour. People would travel distances to visit and buy one. Alas when I went yesterday, the brownies and cakes were different. I was told that the Pleased to Meet You cafes in the north east have changed the baker they used. I bought a brownie to try. Gutted to say it was dry, unremarkable and a mere shadow of the glorious brownies they used to sell there. It is truly the end of an era. I and I’m sure a number of others will not be going back.

We are on holiday in Morpeth and called at Emily’s for lunch as it looked an attractive venue and didn’t appear to be busy. We ordered two coffees and toasties, costing over £20 and were told that a waiter would bring our food and drinks to our table. Around 30 minutes went by and a member of staff came to apologise for the delay. Eventually our coffee arrived, missing any sugar, served by a disinterested looking member of staff. We finished our coffee with still no sign of the toasties, which arrived an hour after we first sat down. The food was reasonable but had to be rushed due to the length of time we had left in the car park. Working in the hospitality sector, we empathise with the present challenges faced by restaurants and bars but based upon today’s disappointing experience, we won’t be returning. Suggest more detail on the menus, rather than “Toastie of the day” and “Sandwich of the day” and more organisation regarding orders for guests eating in & Take - outs.

Despite the poor reviews we had lunch there, service and the food were good. It’s the second time we have visited and we will be returning.

We had a delicious breakfast here! The menu has lots of options with plenty of choices for vegan and vegetarian diets. I went for the vegan breakfast, which was a very flavoursome chickpea ragu on fresh sourdough with a drizzle of avocado and balsamic vinegar. It was very filling and absolutely delicious! My husband had their traditional fry-up, which he described has the one of the best he ever had! The eggs were perfectly runny, crispy bacon and flavoursome sausages. Every part of the fry-up was just cooked to perfection. There was lots of available tables, and the service was very quick despite it being fairly busy. All of the staff were very friendly. Our dog was allowed in most of the restaurant, apart from a small area at the back.

We popped in to Emily's Cafe, as I'm a diabetic and realised my sugars were coming down, so we ordered 2 x fruit scones and tea and a latte. When it came both the scones were so dried out they broke up just cutting into them, I tasted it and honestly I couldn't eat it, costing £3.20 each. My hubby complained to me, but because he was hungry he ate his, I managed to catch a waitress and explained it was too dry to eat, so she took it away, I said could I swap it for a croissant, that should be light and airy she said yes, I couldn't believe what she brought me it was a dried out solid tiny hard lump of a croissant. I just left it and added extra sugar to my latte. I uses to work on a bakery and I wouldn't dare sell products like what they're serving. I do not recommend this place at all, very poor pastries. And not cheap! The staff were polite, but surely they shouldn't be allowed to serve such poor quality of of food, management or quality control if any are letting the staff down.

Disappointed... restaurant right at the back of the garden center...hubby has full English which was adequate.. although the black pudding was likened to a hockey puck..scrabbled egg on toast for me..egg was hard lumps and cold..as was my coffee... overpriced for what it was..

A recently opened Italian restaurant in Blyth. Unfortunately, the street and surrounding area is in disarray due to road/ground works and area improvement works, making access difficult at times. Was previously called ‘Tudor Café’. Really, this is now a takeaway establishment with seating. Once established, it may offer regular café style food. Plus points – ground floor access, pizza’s fresh and ‘home made’, close to town centre, cheerful staff, coffee is good, evening deliveries, on phone or ‘Blyth Eats’ app. (‘Just Eat’ app shortly, maybe) Minus points – no high chairs, very limited menu, no children’s options, not licensed, lack of ventilation, so considerable cooking smells,

Staying near Hexham on holiday so this was our first time using Indus valley and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful. Piping hot and both meals packed with top quality well cooked meat, very generous portions too. I really couldn't fault it
