Chip butty wasn't up to usual standards, IE the chips were not very nice in the butty. Battered sausages and fish were very tasty. Service was very efficient and friendly. Some of the meal was a bit too greasy. Could have had a price list visible. Has vastly improved since my last review. I go here every week on a Friday guaranteed. Has a full menu listing. Make sure you order fish,battered sausage,pies on entry as it's listed on the menu as what to order on entry.

This is probably one of the best fish and chips shops there is . The staff are super kind and friendly. Their food is amazing and has a good price .

Rude staff looked like they had just done their home work. No please or thank you and very bad customer service. Fish was dry looked like it had been in the warmer for ages when I asked for fresh cooked fish I was told they had just come out I took there word for it ( mistake) chips soft and greasy. Just called again to this fish and chip shop and was served by two blond bimbo’s who if they smiled it would probably hurt them no please or thank you’s and very greasy fish.

This place is always busy which has to be a good sign for any food place. Food always hits the spot and they do not skimp on the portion sizes! Not good for my waist line but great for the soul!

fish n chips 9 chips!? Large fish and chips about 14 chips??? Absolutely shocking two young girls had no clue what was going on. Never will I go back.

Where do I start I visited the fish shop on Saturday, on going in there was a woman who do you want fish not would you like fish great entrance ( rude ) as tho she couldn't be bothered, whilst waiting to be served there was a young lass making curry sauce playing with her long hair not covered as it should be when preparing food stuff, after being served there was no thank you or anything great customer service ( not and once again rude,chips were pretty much thrown at me Got home eating my chips and curry sauce there was a long hair in there once again hair should be covered and hair net on, thankfully I had my body cam on which caught everything from front to back of shop this footage will be sent to the food standard agency. Thanks for a miserable experience

Called in yesterday afternoon for a treat, as not had F&C for a long time, shared a well sized portion of F&C with a friend and they were, delicious. Fish was chunky and tasty plus i thought the chips were perfect, nicely cooked and cooked proper, being slightly browned as they should be, NOT like some chippies that serve their chips anemic - yuk. Amazing food thanks. Like i say well portioned and good value for money in my eyes even with todays 'price of living crisis'. Well done, will be calling again for sure. Keep it up :)

In my opinion best chippie about. Fresh. Fast. Good value for money. Fish butty is my fav, they put few chips in and scraps, I always have a few peas on top too. Just perfect! Staff always helpful and friendly. Excellent choice in manu and always well stocked with drinks! Don't miss out on this local hero!!

Fantastic fish and chips. They don't prepare too much so you know that your food is fresh.

Normally very good but recently went and fish was very small and scallop potato wasn't cooked properly.

Great food, fast service. They’re quite close by so it’s nice to be able to call ahead and go to pick my food up. They also didn’t have ant issues with me bringing in my bike while I waited.

Was extremely busy and was waiting for sausage and 2 people were served sausage that came in after me, the food was hot and fresh

Called in today and as usual the quality of the food was amazing. My only criticism is that the young lady serving at the counter could hardly be bothered engaging and when she did, she didn't listen properly and seemed to be distracted. Shame because it would have been five star's.

Quite expensive food but only average quality. Staff are young girls who seem uninterested and disorganised. I will go again but not often.... I can't afford to at their prices!

Used to be really good fish and chips called today prices mad £15 for fish and chips twice and they were dry and tasteless never again this was last chance going down hill fast fast

Seniors menu just enough, comes with bread, butter and tea or coffee (free refil), either curry peas or gravy for £7.95 reasonable. Piping hot and crispy chips lovely. Highly recommend, lunch or tea-time.

Over priced £6.80 for sausage n chips n a teacake, !! Chips was cold to top if off. £2 for a teacake with margarine.. Would advice avoid.

Terrible place. The staff are rude and don't make you want to come again. The chips looked and tasted undercooked. Won't be going here again.

Very disappointed with tonight's special fish and chips. The fish are usually chunky but tonights offering turned out fish very thin. Been going nearly every week since it reopened and usually very good. Not sure what happened tonight? Card reader was not working either on first arrival so went out if way to get cash and go back. Might have to give Friday night chippy tea a miss for a few weeks.

Normally love fish and chips from here. But have to say the last couple of times the chips have been terrible. They are soggy and lots of brown bits on them. Not sure if it the potatoes or the fryer. That's twice they have gone in the bin....
