Popped in for a cuppa having ridden past so many times and thought how lovely it looked. Inside, spotlessly clean and lovely American Diner decor. Really nicely done! So glad we stopped here. Owner very friendly, made us welcome. We'll worth a visit and I will defo return for something to eat next time! Geoff Grove

Awful dirty room dirty bathroom and the carpet was awful. Blinds all broken and it was dreadful. Needs full revamp and it’s so not worth the £30 a night. I have a beautiful £18 room a bit further away from where I am working but it’s spotless and full use of kitchen.

Been driving passed the place for months, thought I would give it ago, now know why it's always empty, food was so expensive for the amount you get, had to take out a loan to pay for the four of us, best thing was the milkshake but that cost around £4 each, son asked for a cookie which was terrible and cost £1.50. Unless you have plenty of money and no taste buds give them a miss.

Would like to try this place after covid. I don't think the masks and physical distancing did it any favours.

Honestly the hugest disappointment. Firstly - COVID. Working in hospitality myself I'm well aware of the necessary procedures to have in place in the current climate. However the diner take an extreme approach that I've never seen from any bar/pub or restaurant at all. Why the two members of staff wear both masks AND visors is beyond me when they have no interaction with the customers at all. There are no menus, you have to go up to the order point where there are lots of bits of paper stuck up over the plastic screen with different menu items. All food is served on small paper plates and drinks in plastic containers that you throw away yourself in a bin at the end. What amazed me is they dont actually bring the food over to your table - they leave it all on a small table at the order point and you have to go and bring your own food over. The most extreme approach to COVID restrictions I've ever known in a food establishment. Secondly - The food. We were really looking forward to some American milkshakes and good sizeable grub! Actually everyone in the group was so dissapointed with everything we ordered. This is overpriced cafe food - and not even a good cafe unfortunately. A great selection of milkshakes that sadly didn't deliver on flavour. The tiny English Breakfast on a paper plate made me for the first time ever regret *not* going to a wetherspoons. A genuine shame for a place that visually has so much potential. A note on the service as well guys - it's really not hard to say 'thankyou goodbye' to the only group you have in the whole place. Your customers are all clearing the table for you and throwing it away in the bin as you ask. A simple goodbye really is just basic hospitality. Such a shame.

Food served in plastic trays with plastic cutlery, food overcooked and/or tasteless. Charge way too much money for quality of food/service. Would not go again.

The service was brilliant and the milkshakes are nice, but the food is rather lackluster, leaving a lot to be desired as the food was dry and overcooked. All-in-all a nice place, but nothing special or memorable. Mediocre at best.

I took some of my family to the restaurant in Maldon, Essex, on Sunday 21st January 2024, at lunchtime. Whilst I have no complaints about the food, I was disappointed that a number of basic ingredients were not available, and the server had to check that there was even some basic coffee available. Bearing in mind it was lunchtime, I was surprised that basic ingredients were not available. I have since herd that this restaurant has a bad reputation, which accounts for the fact that there were only two other people in the restaurant at lunchtime.

We had a table for 8 on a Friday night the atmosphere was awful we didn’t get asked if we wanted a drink for 20mins and had to ask. The food was not all good and the service was terrible. Hate to think what it would be like if they were busy as the tables were empty. Will not go here again.

It’s 2020, the pandemic if rife, school spots are limited. My wife finds this preschool for our cherished daughter in Arnold. As an Annapolis resident I had reservations. Pros: “academically” - we’re talking about babies here - the school is worthy of 5 stars. My daughter has learned a lot - difficult to put into words but I’d say they passively learn through tasks and the curriculum teaches useful skills that seem to keep a firm eye on setting them up for kindergarten. The key point is that they are learning and this isn’t mere daycare. I have zero complaints. Teachers? The teachers are incredibly influential at this age - but having had three years at the school with two daughters I can say with absolute confidence that the faculty are professional and emotionally vested in their children. The school employs a full range of age groups within the faculty- which means your child will have the benefit of youthful and experienced teachers. I found the older teachers seemed to LOVE their work and this showed with the children’s intimate interaction. Cuddles etcetera. Negatives: The only negative I have experienced is that, for one of my daughters, her peer class size could have been bigger. A large part of my negative is subjective and thus it doesn’t negate the “5 star” review… my daughter‘s birthday meant that she was three years old in September, whereas a lot of her classmates were half a year younger. That made a big difference with her interaction. If the class was bigger, she may have had more children in her age group. Six months means nothing to us, but put a 2.5 year-old next to a three-year-old and you’ll see there’s a big difference. Generally, the class sizes are however exactly what they should be… In sum I was surprised by how good the school is… if you’re reading this, I assume you’re like me…namely, you’re concerned and want your precious children get the best you can provide. I am mindful that I am writing like a cheerleader here but truly this preschool is/was an excellent choice for us; albeit, initially, a reticent one for me! Best of luck.

Food is constantly at a high standard. Potatoes they use are of good quality, not the cheap, tasteless whites most restaurant's use . Fish is cooked to perfection every time, not overcooked, unlike every other chippy for miles around.
