Holiday Inn London - Brentford Lock, an IHG Hotel in Hounslow

This is one of the best options in the area when all things are considered

Hotel is nice and the staff are friendly. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with power point near the bed.

We held a small public event here, and despite the venue being very popular and therefore fully booked, the events team went out of their way to provide us with an ideal space in their lobby. We were very well looked after by all the staff who very professionally managed several other very large events taking place in the building simultaneously, whilst making sure our little event ran as smoothly as possible.

Being a IGH member ,I am used to Holiday inn and love always my stay. But I have to say I was disappointed this time with the poor service. I checked in the evening, after a long day at work. I was starving thefore I went straight to the restaurant for some food as I wanted to have an early night. After approx.10min waiting with no one to take my order I gave up. The young bartender told me to have a seat that someone was going to take my order,but he was not busy and past by me twice but still did even approach my table despite seen me.It was 7:15pm, the restaurant was not busy, there was just two tables ocupied. Very disapointing. I belive the chef(s)was having a break. The following day, another frustration as I went to get a drink at the bar bar they coudnt charge to my room, eventhough I had pre authorised my credit card during check in. So I had to go all the way to the reception myself(again, the bar was not busy at all) to sort out the problem. According to the guy at tbe reception, who was ghe same one who did my check in, for some reason the system blocked the transactionit so it was a problem with their system and not my card. Totaly disapointed with the service. This was my worse stay at Hokiday inn. I know Holiday Inn can do much better than that! There was a positive outcome after all. Due to lack or service in the restaurant, I went to walk in the neighbourhood and found an amazing and cozy italian restaurant by the lock( 3min walking from the hotel) ,called Siracusa. They serve Authetic italian food. Their service and atmospher were great. They even gave me a Frangelico shot as cortesy.No need to say that I had my dinner there on both nights. I highly recomend it, if you are staying at the hotel, do get a table at Siracusa. The two waitreses were smily, profesdional and very friendly. The vegetable soup was delicious so was their pizza! They also have very good selection of south italy wines.

Had afternoon cream tea groupon deal today. Very nice service with nicely decorated hotel.

When we arrived the man on reception hardly spoke. No greeting or welcome, compared to the service from the lady in reception in the morning and the staff at breakfast were excellent

I attended a business networking meeting at the hotel. Lovely venue. Catering was great and service was very friendly.

A nice hotel, we got a warm welcome on a cold winter's day. The room was very warm also despite the thermostat being turned down. We had a lovely breakfast and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

Only problem was chaotic breakfast. Had to sit on the bar, get our own cutlery etc etc.

The hotel is very good, the rooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. In the bathroom there is soap and shampoo and if you need it they can provide you with free feminine hygiene. We have missed hair softener because the shampoo and water are very hard. I recommend that you get breakfast, although you should know that it is free for children under 13 years of age. It has public transport nearby, both bus and tube, but even so it is very far from the center of London or any tourist attractions. It has views of a pier, all very picturesque and London.

Good location for Kew Gardens 8 minute drive or 30 minutes walk lots of bar restaurants, room was nice and comfortable.

I was there for 2 nights during my vacations. Very comfortable rooms and the breakfast was good. The only bad thing is that hotel is far from big ben and the interesting things to visit, so it is mandatory to take taxi, uber or metro. The zone for me was secure enough to walk during night.

Didn't honor room, don't book to Booking.com. plays the case with Hokiday Inn not following through. Same hallenedbat Sutton and Leicester. The hotel is little shabby, not 4 star anyway. Saving grace, lady working on new years eve. Wanted to be annoyed but she was just too cool! Name was Silva perhaps??

Went there for the Christmas Ball and it was epic ! Loved it and for £60 per new fit was pricey but worth it. Only complaint is the bar staff so agonisingly slow and irritating as if youre a woman and well dressed they were all over it but if youre a dude you were ignored. That’s not great service ! That was noticed by many of us !! Please have a word ! Otherwise the hosts of the Christmas party the guy and the lady were nice folk. Food was also very good for a Buffett style !

Shared Christmas party last night. Should be welcome drink and canapès as did not get any food for over 2 hrs! Drinks way over priced. Needs more coordination or to be served dinner, the buffet was a nightmare with long queues! Food was cold, plates were cold! The air conditioning was on all night even after we had asked x5 to turn off. Could not hear the man talking on mic. The outside area was wet and cold, no heaters!! Lovely staff and good atmosphere but disappointed on the whole.

Holiday Inn London is a chain of hotels you can return to. The rooms were clean and well-kept, and the breakfast was delicious, typical English. Helpful service. Good location, close to shops and a bus stop.

The hotel failed to register my car in its parking despite me following their instructions, which resulted in me having to pay a fine and a penalty far over the daily charge. I contacted them by email to fix the issue but no response. Take care next time when parking at this hotel.

Overall good welcoming structure good English breakfast. If you go to London to see the national rugby team the location is 5 star otherwise to get to the center you have to sacrifice 1 hour of your time. The nearest tube stop is 2 stops from Heathrow Airport

Stayed for a business event locally. On check in there was a mix up with two bookings in my name. Reception desk lacked social skills or knowledge of bar opening times. I chose the hotel as I am an IHG member but this was not mentioned and I was actively encouraged to join followed by a note shoved under the door with information. Entrance was filled with prams and other junk. Only one lift was working with no explanation. Arriving at the room there was a pint glass in the hallway outside the room. Entering the room the bin had not been emptied. Calling to reception to highlight all of this only suggestion was to move rooms. Breakfast offering had limited vegetarian options. Friday evening had to wait for bar staff to serve drinks at 9pm and no member of the 4 strong team at reception made any acknowledgement. Saturday AM welcome team for breakfast again lacked any social skills and did not take me to a table or offer additional drinks. Only one drinks machine had caffeinated beans in, leading to a queue at the only other machine. Emailed the General Manager during the visit to highlight check in issues but no follow up. Shocking - would not recommend and will not stay here again. Plenty of other options to choose from at a similar budget. There are clearly issues in this hotel which need addressing.

Poor customer service, book a room 2 hours prior & no rooms were avaible once on site. Night manager was a pain in the *** and never offer any accommodation or even try to find solution. Good thing : there is a pub inside and customer are amazing!!

Nice and modern hotel with a beautiful view on the canal. The staff were helpful, lovely, and polite, even under difficult circumstances. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice. My room was clean and comfortable. I was only there for one night, so I didn't get to do the walk along the canal. Will definitely like to stay here again for a longer time.

Very helpful, courteous staff. We were there for the rugby and were made to feel very welcome. Car park very convenient. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was great. Overall very pleased.

I have visited this place several times. My friends stay here for business trips. The hotel is nice. There is a big venue on the ground floor. There are empty seats to talk with friends, do some jobs, and make meetings. Some facilities like umbrella renting are very nicely managed. Easy for tourists. The restaurant on the ground floor is big enough and has a competitive price. As I remember the dinner with 2 meals and dessert was about £25. The location is close to Heathrow airport, good for tourists. The distance to London City is an hour or an hour and a half by public transport. There are several busses to travel to the centre.

We had booked 4 nights with breakfast. I traveled with my son. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. We were very impressed. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We'll definitely be back.

Typical holiday inn experience so functional rather than outstanding. If you have breakfast I recommend asking for an omelette. Note if coming by public transport you will need to take the bus as tube and train are quite far.

My husband and I got the last room available, having made the reservation with no advanced notice, after our original accommodation for the night fell through. We were concerned the last room available in the hotel would be not great, but to our relief, the room was cozy and quiet, the bed was warm and comfy, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious! Holiday Inn really saved the day for us! Next time we'll just plan to stay at the Holiday Inn (forget AirBNB!). Thank you!!

The hotel is good and front desk staff Ms Manpreet Kaur made it even better. So grateful for her. She made our stay a safe and comfortable one! Breakfast cafe is also warm and cosy, serving a simple but very good buffet. Thank you.

The environment is very good. As regulars, we are always treated with kindness by both those at the bar, and at reception. We never have anything negative to say. The food is also very nice. Highly recommend this hotel for a drink or to stay for a holiday. Special thanks to Kane and Vicky at reception, Lauren, Mark, Constancio and Tareq at the bar. They always ensure we have a positive experience!

I only passed through for lunch and later, coffee. I liked the location at the Brentford Locks.

Rooms are clean, but not cleaned every day, the tea and coffee is replenished and bed turned down, but that's it. Parking is an additional £15 a day. Location is OK. Restaurant - breakfast is good. Dinner menu is terrible- make sure to check with the staff any gluten, food allergies or vegetarians/vegans. Because the menu is green and the font is tiny I assumed a Nasi Gorang with egg was vegetarian and even said when I was ordering that I am a vegetarian. No one informed me otherwise. First bite I knew it wasn't right. Checked again and asked them to ask the chef, oyster sauce. Was charged for the meal and drink as it was my fault I couldnt read the x6 font. I didn't get angry, but I felt sick and haven't eaten meat for 35 years, so this was not acceptable. Gym has nice views but it's not open early enough to enjoy before work.

Been staying here 5 nights for work. Room was spotless. Bed very comfy. Great service all around. Nice view from my room. Plenty of parking spaces £14/day. Good breakfast, love mango smoothies but ran out on day 4&5.

We held my Grandad's funeral here and it was pleasantly very good. Great views of the canal and the room we used was bright, lovely looking and very clean.
