Food arrived alot earlier than suggested

as always prompt delivery good food can't fault them

I placed an order on Just Eat on Saturday evening, and unfortunately, my experience was terrible. While the food was warm and tasty, the delivery took far too long and caused a lot of stress. Initially, the app informed me that my food would be delivered between 19:35 and 19:55. However, at 19:55, I received a notification saying that my order had been delivered, even though I hadn’t received anything. When I called the restaurant to find out what was happening, they explained that there was a delay and assured me that my order would be prioritized. I’m not sure why the system recorded it as delivered, but it caused me a lot of unnecessary worry. About 20–25 minutes later, the delivery driver called me to say he was on his way. After another 10 minutes, I went downstairs from the 11th floor to meet him, but when I called, I realized he had gone to the wrong address. Despite entering the correct address on the website, the driver somehow ended up in a different town. He then told me it would take another 20 minutes to arrive. In the end, an order I placed at 18:26, which should have been delivered within 70 minutes, only arrived at 20:31.

Total time for delivery 2.5 hours - after asking for an update, still late

Phoned to ask for more money for delivery fee. Food was cold and order was wrong.

Ordered food at 7pm it’s news year eve so will b await was told 90 mins it’s nearly 915 pm and I’ve rang they haven’t even cooked the order not even a sorry still waiting as to late to go else where it is now 945 food still not here they are not answering their phones now such bad manners will not be ordering from here ever again

Very nice meal and good portions.

Food all arrived hot and delicious with receipt to make sure everything was there. The wait was long (around nearly an hour) but worth it.

Never received my order. Waited over 1 hour rang and they said they have cancelled it

Nice food as usual but over 2 hrs delivery is unacceptable, I accept it may take up to an hour but as soon as you click to pay the delivery time jumps right up and then get a text to say it going up even further!!!

Waited over an hour and a half for food, I ordered one beef curry and one lamb curry as well as other items! Nothing was marked and when I phoned to ask what curry is which and other items the person laughed down the phone and said just try it I’m too busy to mark the food. I told them this isn’t good enough due to allergies and they continued to laugh down the phone and say I have no time to mark my food just try it !! They don’t care if you have an allergy or anything STAY CLEAR!

Sad to say we feel “duped” this take away is featured as delivering to Wootton And in fact is 15 mins away max - we ordered our food via just eat and twice now have been “held hostage” to an extra £1 or our delivery driver won’t come ????? Then do not advertise on just eat as delivering to Wootton ? Sorry Hoi Tin but deliver or don’t !!!

Food was delivered late. Said it was delivered on the app and enjoy your food but food actually came 15mins later

took 2 hours for them to deliver food, delivery driver then asked for more money? food wasn't nice either. would not recommend and will not be ordering again. shocking!

When order placed at 5.30pm it said delivery at 7pm then changed to between 7 and 7.20 actually delivered at 7.30. On the app it said delivered and 7.05. Food wasn’t very hot

Lovely tasty hot food that arrived well before expected delivery time. Would recommend.

When I booked it said between 45-60. Food didn’t turn up until a further 50 minutes and 2 phone calls. When it arrived I had gone past hungry so threw it away. Complete waste of money. Wouid not use again

Although the containers were hot. the food was cold. it looked like it was re-heated in a microwave. the pork should be a little crunchy as it was sweet and sour, there was barely any. Very disappointed!

Waited 2 hours for our food, no updates from Hoi Tin and had to call twice to receive an update. The delivery time kept increasing without an explanation. Will think twice about ordering from here again.

Sent the same dish twice and argue with me on the phone that the massamam dish should not have patato or peanuts in the dish. We got the same dish twice. Will not be ordering from here again.

Please don’t order from here, I found a piece of metal Brillo pad in my chicken ball. Luckily I didn’t eat it.

Food is average. The really annoying thing is once you have ordered, the estimated delivery time more than doubles. They also do not update on the app of what’s happening.

As always lovely food—very tasty and generous amounts but for once I have a small complaint—-disappointed that there was less duck meat than there was fatty unpleasant skin. Please take it off next time.

This used to be the best Chinese takeaway in Bedford, right now I consider it the worst Chinese I have ever had in my life. Either the chef was changed or the owner is trying to scam on cheap quality products, as the food is disgraceful. Complete lack of any flavour.

This was my top chinese takeaway few months ago, right now half of the food ended up in the trash bin. Terrible quality and tasteless food, you won’t recognise the difference between red or black or any other sauce, they all taste the same. Massive disappointment and won’t be ordering from there again

Everything looked okay food hot and delivered early however the taste was not so great the chicken in both dishes had a peculiar taste to the point both dishes were discarded

Be cautious as dispite paying top dollar for delivery as quoted before ordering , the owner called direct to extort more money from me for delivery for agreeing to delivery our food. Food was average after all.

Hoi Tin is our favorite Chinese take away. The food is so good that we have no need to order elsewhere. Delicious, fresh and arrives hot every time. A++++

Do not waste your time for this place. Staff is rude and lie, food was delivered after 2 hours of placing order. When finally arrived chicken was undercooked and springrolls half frozen! Waste of time and money

the food was poor quality very disappointing chicken was so dry I had to spit it out...couldn't chew it and 1h late for delivery , driver did not read the note where I asked to call upon arrival instead he rang bell multiple time and knocked the door in a combo late at night with 2 small kids sleeping

Useless service, meal arrived, wrong! Phoned up to be told by restaurant ‘I had to check my meal was correct’, driver come back, exchanged bags, by which time driver jumps in car and clears off, checked my bag and yet again incorrect! I pay a delivery charge, driver should check before he gets out the car he has the right order/address! Never again

Best Chinese I had in a long time, food was tasty and good portion size.

2 hours from ordering to delivery thats not normal. The chips were disgusting and inedible overcooked and stale it wouldn’t surprise me if they were lunch times leftovers reheated. The crispy chicken was soggy and horrible. I can’t remember the last time I had such a bad takeout.

I've always bought from hoi tin for years now. Delivery today took over 1hour and wasn't particularly hot. Disappointing.

We ordered food at 18.50 we called the restaurant at 20.03 the woman on the phone said the food is gonna be cooked fresh now and then the next driver will deliver. £25.00 and 2 phone calls still no food and the time is now 20.35.

Tbh I was disappointed with the chicken curry I ate about 3 mouthfuls and didn’t eat the rest the sweet sour pork was good rice good fritters good,

Ordered the food at 7:52pm and it came at 8:02pm this Chinese place is 5 minutes away from my house and i ordered about 6 dishes. The food was really cold especially the rice, the chicken was dry as a rock the chips were freezing cold. It made me and my partner have food poisoning, that shows there food is not fresh at all it’s all re-heate. Worse Chinese in Bedford HOI TIN, guys please don’t go there you will have a really bad experience. As you guys can tell from what i said. You guys will get ill!! Im not just posting this for fun, im posting this to make awareness to people that go there. The lady from there also she can’t even speak English properly she wasn’t understanding a word of what I was saying. And she was just laughing at the phone when I was telling her we got food poisoning from them. DO NOT ORDER FROM HOI TIN PLEASE!!!

Food was lovely. It’s a shame the delivery driver left the food on the floor rather than waiting 25 seconds for me to open the door.

Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive and we also had to pay the driver an extra £1 for delivery because our address was too far! However the food was piping hot and tasty if your prepared to wait 😊
