My son Paul married Carron at Hogarth yesterday. I want to express how happy we were with the venue. The staff were so professional, friendly and accommodating. Paul's Dad was in a wheelchair and the staff helped immediately with getting ramp and assisting. Food was fantastic I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding, as they made it truly memorable. Heartfelt thanks from proud Mom. Julie Quigley x

I attended a function here and would like to say that it's excellent. I have certain dietary requirements, which were catered for really beautifully. The food was delicious and well presented throughout. Service was amazing and the place was absolutely spotless as well. Thank you.

I went here for a birthday lunch for 12 yesterday. While the physical location is gorgeous, the service here was shockingly bad. No one offered to help with coats when we arrived, the hostess who seated us dishes explain that there was wine pre-booked for the waiting area, our birthday guest of honor received her food at least five minutes after everyone else, a promised children’s meal booked far ahead never arrived. There was bread pre-set on the table for two people but not for anyone else. Perhaps most strangely, the waiter served the white wine but wouldn’t serve the red - so I walked around and poured it myself. I had the salmon lunch. It had great flavor if a lot of sauce.

This is a long one, to summarise – they will put you in a room directly over the wedding rooms, when you complain they will only have a lower class of room available and then will offer you ZERO compensation for it ruining your plans. We were in a deluxe double room (for my husband's 40th birthday which they were aware of at time of booking) above the wedding reception area, we weren't told prior to arrival there was a wedding taking place. The noise was unacceptable. The bass from the music after 9pm was really loud and you could hear everything from the women's toilets below, conversations and hand dryers. No equal or higher grade rooms available so had to be moved to a standard double. Refunded the £20 price difference but couldn't offer any form of compensation otherwise. Emailed following our stay to complain , took them 4 days to respond and was essentially told that the £20 refund was compensation!! No Natalie, Revenue and Reservations Manager, that is not what compensation is, that was the refund of what I was owed. She essentially then just stopped replying to my emails. Very bad customer service. Would not stay at a Hogarths again based on this experience.

Unfortunately the Christmas party was a mess. The room was small with only four tables even though we were a large group. From the very beginning the atmosphere was not Christmassy at all. The bar was makeshift, the starter portion was appalling, instead of brie there were only four blobs the size of a thumb. There was no background music, even the candle in the wreath on the table had no batteries. It was not even possible to lower the temperature in the room. I am really disappointed.

Just come back from my work Christmas party on Friday the 6th. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. On arrival we passed 2 rooms that looked fantastic, with lots of people, a DJ, dance floor and atmosphere. To then be shown to a small room down a few corridors with just 4 tables, 2 for my company, was such a let down. There was zero atmosphere, no dance floor, hardly any room and no DJ or music when we got there. No bar, just a young kid behind a table who had to keep going to the main bar to get supplies. There was literally no point in booking this venue if this is what you end up with. You are not allowed into the larger rooms so you are stuck in a small, hot, stuffy room, and the windows wouldn't open. How this establishment think this is OK is beyond me. We would have been better off having a party in the office or going to the pub. NEVER AGAIN!

Wedding reception, great food. Be a little less belligerent at kicking out time though lol ....by which I meant at 11pm, when people started collecting chairs up around the guests.

Stunning Manor House for a Special Event. We had a magical wedding day here. The staff are outstanding. They work together so the whole event was seamless. They were attentive, helpful and always happy. The grounds gave lots of opportunities for photos and the black and white beams of the building made a great backdrop. Inside there is a calm, warm ambience. The open fires and armchairs were the perfect place to enjoy a glass or two. The food was amazing and plenty of it. We were so impressed with the quality of the food, the whole family have booked Christmas day and we can not wait to go back. We stayed the night and the views over the gardens and fields were beautiful to wake up to. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained hotel. This is a top class hotel which I highly recommend.

I have stayed at the Stone Manor on many occasions predominantly because I have a large breed dog and the hotel is dog-friendly. This morning the hotel have contacted me to let me know they are charging me £50 because my dog allegedly urinated on a chair in the hotel room. I have made it quite clear that my dog is house trained, is not allowed on the furniture (and even if she was, she is far too big to be able to sit on the chair in question!). I also informed the reception that I sat on the chair on leaving the shower so the chair was likely damp because of this. They have put 2+2 together and come up with 5 simply because there was a dog in the room and have promptly charged me £50 for a damp chair. I am not concerned about the £50, but am very annoyed at being charged for something we didn't do. Beware!!. If you take your dog with you, be prepared to be charged for anything that could be misconstrued as pet-related damage. The hotel has attempted to show me alleged photographic 'evidence' that clearly shows a simple area of liquid on the cushion. It does not show evidence of urine etc. Still appalled and not returning!

Didn’t stay overnight as was there for a funeral wake. Pricey bar (a pint of lager and a pint of orange juice and lemonade £12.50). Polite service, but unreasonably expensive.

Stayed here as it was our son's wedding reception venue. We received a friendly welcome and because of arrangements we went to our first room which was excellent. We had to transfer rooms to one that had come as part of the reception package and a transfer of luggage was arranged. The second room was of higher quality with a massive bathroom and was very comfortable. However there was a smell of drains in the morning which the hotel was quick to sort out. The breakfasts were lovely and the food at the reception was superb. The hotel sits in well kept large grounds in open countryside and was very quiet. Perhaps the only downside was the price of a pint.

Had a great evening for a friend's 40th Birthday party. the hotel has a great atmosphere, great food and most crucially, great service. The staff were wonderful at all times. If there is any criticism, then it'll be the breakfast, the orange juice was off and the pastries were not great but this is a minor quibble to be honest. Otherwise a great stay and considering a Christmas dinner as well.

A 60th birthday surprise from my sister and what a lovely ‘afternoon tea in the woods’. Nothing was too much trouble, food was lovely, catering for vegetarian, food allergies and also taking time to include the two dogs with us, service was perfect. I am only sorry I didn’t get the name of the gentleman waiting on us ( he did say his birthday is 26th June so hopefully you will know who he is 😊), would definitely recommend and hope to return very soon. Thank you so much. Debbie

We had our wedding at Hogarth's Stone Manor and from the initial wedding open day to our wedding day the team that worked with us were great. No question was too much for them and they tried to cater to our every need. There was a single little hiccup but the team sorted it so quickly we didn't have to worry about anything and we both had the most amazing time. Our guests were all complimenting us on our venue choice and everyone enjoyed the food and their rooms. We had our wedding around Christmas time and the hotel itself looked lovely and rustic. The reception room was dressed beautifully too. The whole process was stress free and the team were great at reassuring us along the way. The hideaway is great for close relatives too and it was nice that we could all disappear up there at the end of the day. Thank you Sam and the team for a perfect day!

A lovely night away linked to a trip on the Severn Valley Railway. From check in we were met with pleasant and professional service from all sides. The grounds of the hotel are a lovely place to walk around and relax. It worked perfectly for us with a dog and a baby in arms, as a walk to get baby to sleep and give the dog a safe place to roam and sniff!

Oh wow what a gem of a place...really busy with a great atmosphere. We had a couple of drinks before our table was ready...great drinks and reasonable price. We ordered Chicken Malai Tikka, Chicken Garlic Fry, Chicken Korma, cheese and garlic nan, mushroom rice, salt and chilli paneer and onion bhajees, all of the food was exceptional...full of flavour, presented brilliantly and such good price. Staff were absolutely rushed off their feet but they were all so friendly and really looked after us. We don't live local...was just up for the football but would do the 3hr drive just to come back for another curry it was that good !!! Wall 2 Wall please open up a restaurant in Suffolk 😂
