Fish & Chips were tasty and good priced. Guy confirmed no beer in batter so Halal friendly. Tried fresh donuts and these were yummy too! Recommended

The best for a meal in Yarmouth, they go above and beyond to help, happy friendly service, I had a gentleman in a wheelchair and they brought his food out to us and got us all the condiments we needed, won’t use anywhere else, good family run business

Just love fish & chips and always on the hunt for the best. HJs is very popular and service is very quick and friendly. A couple of young lads were constantly cleaning the tables ready for the next customer. The chips were probably the best I ever had. The fish is the reason why I didn’t give it full 5 stars. It was cooked properly but the batter was more like a bread batter rather than a nice n crispy. The fish did lack flavour and batter was very bland. But I have to appreciate that they were very busy and had admired the staffs teamwork. My son had the burger and it was really delicious. I will not forget the chips. They were probably the best I have had. Would I recommend : YES

My nephew accidentally collapse the table with the food on it and the good when everywhere and they was so helpful they gave him a free bag of candy floss and done our chips and slushes all over again I just want to say massive thank you to the team you really are all amazing!!! 😁

We love coming here every time we are in Great Yarmouth It's the best chippy in the golden mile! While you are here try out their FOOTLONG Battered sausage! or their new Loaded Donuts!! There are plenty of options on the menu with veggie options too like veggie burgers. The staff were very professional and polite with good service. The food was delicious. I recommend the cheesy chips!! There was plenty of seating space outside.

I came here for lunch and the bloke he was very nice. He said that if I wanted to go back there there is a back garden that you can sit and look out from and the seagull won’t annoy you but the chicken nuggets were very juicy and delicious and the chips, oh my God, they were to die for. I’ll definitely be going back here again.

What a lovely day at Great Yarmouth and a fab place to stop off at for a bite to eat. They cater also for Halal which is great for us. The staff are on the ball & move very fast. The place is very clean, tidy & spotless - The staff which we noticed clear up straight away, in readiness for the next customers. Tables are clean too which is good to see. Thank you, we will be back real soon xx

Superb food at very reasonable prices. Had 3 meals here… so far, fish & chips, jumbo hot dog & 1/2 lb cheese burger. Great friendly staff. All fresh, hot & delicious 😋 Highly recommended.

Delicious food and most importantly proper chippy chips!! There is plenty to choose from. Service was brilliant the man that served us was friendly and helpful. The food was definitely worth the short wait in the queue.

Best fish and chips on the seafront. Coffee is excellent too. Topped off after with the best selection of ice creams. It was packed and we were served quickly and efficiently by some very helpful and friendly hardworking staff.

Very poor service from the young Man service the ice-cream today. Selling "super sundaes" advertised in large tubs, but sells then in very small tubs. When asked about it, he responded "you didn't think they were that size did you?" - well yeah I'm expecting to receive what is advertised especially at £4 per item.. And "when you see billboards they aren't the same are they". How rude and should not be working with the public with this attitude!!. Very poor attitude and needless to say my family will not be coming here again, even though we always go to this stall after visiting the model village. Also with the false advertisement of sizes, since they are clearly not "super sundaes" - this will be getting reported to trading standards as well for false advertisement, which I hope the owner of the establishment understands is illegal.. Very poor experience with this, will not be going back. If I could rate negative stars I would.

After finishing our short break this week we made our way especially to the seafront for our icecreams from HJ's. We originally found them a couple of years ago when having a wander down the seafront and were impressed with the variety and this time round was just as fab! The kids had a scoop chosen from the vast selection and myself & hubby got a medium plain/strawberry whippy combo which was generous and delicious. If you are in Yarmouth, i'd definitely recommend you pay them a visit

You are spoilt for choose with 60 different and unique flavours to choose as well as waffles, donuts, milkshakes. You will need a few visits to try your favourites and it's worth it every time 🍨

Fish was very greasy & oily but also found the batter cakey. The battered sausage was nice but still oily. The Chips was every nice. I always go to this chipy when in Great Yarmouth but probably wont return as the price to quality just didn't match. Not the same as it used to be!

Had great fish and chip meal here. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Sat inside out of the cold, the dining area was very clean and comfortable.

What better way to warm up of a chilly February day than good old fish n chips, or in my case battered sausage. Proper, tasty seaside scoff. 😋

The best place for food on Great Yarmouth seafront. No question.

Could of been better. Hygenie is a bit questionable, while waiting for my order, I saw a fly land on the bacon which was in a storage pot near the dressing table. Could be a one off but easily preventable with lids on pots. Brings into question if over simple things have been overlooked. Food itself was fresh and tasty. Prices what you expect for a prime location.

Wonderful place, defo top 5 for fish and chips.! Very accommodating, especially as we had a party of 8 on a family holiday, always met with a smile and a hello, will return when I next come to Great Yarmouth.!

My family was in great yarmounth from 6th to 13th August, we visited the fish and chip place many times while we were there, the fish, chips, sausage and mushy pease was excellent, the manager and his staff are extremely friendly, helpful nothing was to much trouble. My family and I wish you every success for the future, you really do deserve it

Do not eat from here, 3 children all had sausage and spent the rest of our holiday with food poisoning! Only people in our party to get poorly had eaten the sausage... obviously cooked and reheated 😡🤬

Today, I have been charged £12.60 for 2 double ice screams. I was shocked when I heard the price while I did contact less payment. I came back to make a complaint but he disappeared when saw me walking back...

Fantastic service with friendly staff constantly cleaning everything and making sure customers enjoy there experience. Even cleaning the feet of the tables after use and offering to help OAPs to there tables with there food.

Servers touch the serving cups/plates and icecream cones with no gloves or tissues. When asked they retaliated impolitely, no good customer service...avoid!!! Plz goto other well behaved nearby shops handled with much care.

Ice cream cone was taken out of protective sleeve and touched by server (a young lad) without gloves after he touched money. Ice cream also touched the plastic screen while he played jokes before handing us the ice cream. Stop copying things you see on Instagram and just serve food safely! Wouldn’t go back.

Really tasty fish and chips, probably best I've had in years but priced accordingly. £9 for large cod and chips but may pass as regular portions elsewhere. Service without a smile but seating was convenient.

Always a hot spot for me to visit when I come to Yarmouth. The ice cream is the best on the beach walk!!

Probably the best seaside fish and chips I've ever had. Very well priced and delicious food. Myself my wife and my 2yr old son thoroughly enjoyed our food and will definitely return in the future.

Not good, I've been going there for a long time but things have definitely changed ,,very small amount of chips, especially for a large portion, think they trying to skimp on portions to make their money during this pandemic, and their sausages taste like they've come out of a play-doh factory, and very limited on sauces especially if u want a hot dog or burger, won't be going back there again.

Food was fantastic had baked potato with topping and salad best ive ever had this place is id say the best value and food in great yarmouth 10/10 cant wait to eat there again. Visited this place again yesterday with my matr this time was a let down old spud was dry hard like a old prune was very dissapointed consistancy for quality like before had gone was fair to say dissapointing.

He loves it that much he's asleep, I suppose for being a 12 year he's a little sleepy he's had a long day
