Hisar Meze Bar West Wickham in Bromley

I was really looking forward to trying the lamb shank, which was the main reason I visited, but unfortunately, they were out of it. Despite that small disappointment, everything else was spot on. The food was deliciousand the service was warm and attentive. I’ll definitely be back to try the lamb shank next time!

The food is good although like all meze restaurants the portions are small as you are expected to order several plates. I also thought that their prices were steep for what is just a small high street eatery.

All food was nice, Service was great, Its high class relaxing atmosfere and Staff was helpful and smiling. only they charge extra for bread which bas experience for me only in this restaurant. Bu we cannot judge only 1 bad experience side of 100 amazing experience they wort it more then 5 star. definitely recommend to everyone. Thank you guys

Went for lunch and had borek for starter and Adana for main, both were very nice, the main meal was quite small however it was part of a lunch deal.

When we went there was live music playing which was great. The young lady serving us was good, entertaining, and funny. See you again soon

What a lovely atmosphere, I came here with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were attentive, friendly and in good spirits. We ordered a 3-course meal and a couple of drinks. The Saksuka was incredible, the Swordfish was a little overcooked and the desserts were amazing, I didn't want them to finish.

First visit. The service was excellent. Food tasty and we just lingered after eating. Chatting. It was truly lovely.

This is a great Turkish restaurant. We have had the lambs ribs and lamb chops several times and it very tasty and a good price point for take away or eat in. Very tasty expresso as well.

Was here on Saturday 11 of May 2024 for my partners birthday. 1 of our favourite restaurants in west wickham. Great friendly happy staff as always happy to see you and make you feel very welcome. Great food couldn't fault it 10 out 10 to the chef and all the staff that was working that night. Always a pleasure 🙏 with good value for money

Went to experience Hisar yesterday. Could not fault the food, portion a bit small for price. Service appalling, waited over 5 minutes to be handed menus, no offer of dessert/ coffees. Had to try to flag someone down to pay the bill!

Order a lamb shish via Just East and the meat was still raw in the middle, so I couldn't eat most of it. Very disappointing portion sizes for the almost £19 price tag. Tiny box of raw lamb, tiny container of rice and a tiny plastic container of salad. Poor value for money. Definitely won't be ordering here again.

Every time I visit Hisar I love that they make you welcome with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is amazing and comes really quickly. A great restaraunt that stands out from others in the area.

Delicious food, nice ambiance and excellent service. There are many vegetarian dishes to choose from and been genuinely surprised. Food was served quickly and at right temperature. Really enjoyed the visit.

Meal for 5 last week, food was good and reasonably priced. The waiter (manager) was great, friendly and chatty even when raising the menu spelling mistakes with him. The bill was a little less than I was expecting as we had drinks, beer/wine/soft drinks. A good evening. :) Update June 23 - another great meal, goats cheese, mixed shish and sticky toffee pudding. Staff are friendly....if a little cheeky but great fun. Good value for money.

Went it to this west wickham branch for the first time with my husband and son...we usually go to the Beckenham branch that we go to all of the time and thought the level would be as good. Unfortunately the waitress got our starter wrong even after she reconfirmed and 2 of our mains completely wrong again after double checking when taking the order. We had to wait a while for both starter and mains because of that. All be it the waitress was very friendly but we believe she was probably very new and didn't know what she was doing at all, after the wrong order someone came and apologised profusely and took over. Unfortunately the waitress avoided us completely and didn't even come to apologise, we understand that mistakes happens at time. The food was very average. My husband had a hair on his chips but by this point we decided we weren't going to say anything anymore. The manager did give us a discount at the end, which we thought was effective customer service...

Went there on Sunday 30th April 2023. The waitress got our starter and main menu order wrong. The bread was cold and the lamb chops were really dry. We did get a 10% discount for the wrong order, which was nice. Hisar in Beckenham is much better.

One of the best restaurant on Turkish food ever. I fell in love with the friends service, taste of the food. Highly recommended.

Staff were brilliant catering for a very large group some of which had very specific dietary requirements. Came for a family birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and good portion sizes. The houmous was my favourite but everything was very good. I would very much recommend it. Disabled parking right outside on the road and a reasonable prices carpark on the opposite side of the road.

Nice addition to my Turkish list of eateries. Was going for a Meze but found the restaurant had added set lunchtime meal at £13 or for additional 2.50 you could have lamb shanks or ribs with chips or rice or bulgar wheat and a salad. It also came with a small starter, and I was pleasantly full. No need for dessert. It was enough on a cold day for a hot meal under 16 quid. Miche the waiter was lovely gave you time to choose and back when ready in a snap. On his own he managed to give full attention to all the guests. The usual nightmare of trying to find parking on the High Street - there is some but not enough. But more available in the side roads for free.

Quite a nice place to eat, wasn't impressed after being seated with my partner and then being moved as other people have walked in, the table was abruptly moved and I found it quite rude as we was having a conversation and was disturbed. Also the staff kept looking over and coming over, bending over the tables to clean them when they should of just waited until we had finished all of our meals.

Way Overpriced and portions are really small. I’ve been to many Turkish restaurants before never seen portions like that. Taste was ok. Won’t order again.

The wife and I ate here this evening (New Years Eve 2022). We booked a table for 17:15 but arrived a little early at 17:00 & were seated straight away. The guy who saw us to our table offered us two separate tables and said that they had further bookings for the tables in 3 hrs or 3 1/2 hrs respectively. We knew that both options would give us more than adequate time to dine so we just made up our minds and sat. We then got ourselves comfortable by which time another member of staff asked if we wanted to order drinks whilst we perused the menus. We duly accepted and two minutes later our drinks were with us. We then discussed what we were having and yet another staff member took our order. I must say that all staff were excellent and very attentive and amiable. We ordered from the four course Christmas set menu as everything we’d choose from the normal menu was on their but slightly cheaper. The menu we chose started with a hot and cold meze platter. Both were very fresh and tasty. My personal favourite from the hot meze was the calamari which is the best I’ve ever had and I’ve probably had it at about 20 other restaurants. The borek was also lovely as were all the other dishes but we left some humus as judging by the generous portions we needed to save room for main course and dessert. I forgot to mention that my wife started with a cocktail - Sex on the beach - delicious and I had a lime and soda. So onto the mains. I had the mixed grill with chips and side salad with garlic sauce - outstanding. My wife had lamb chops with sautéed potatoes. Again delicious!! We were enjoying the experience so much that my wife decided she’d have another cocktail so she ordered a cosmopolitan. They certainly don’t lack on the measures. I tried it and it was very generous and again lovely tasting and well presented as was the SOTB. After a short intermission we ordered our desserts. My wife had the baklava and I had the honey and cinnamon steamed pudding. Each to there own but these were FANTASTIC. We tried each others and were both like kids in a candy store. We loved everything about the place. The staff, the atmosphere, ambiance and music. We enjoyed the experience so much that we had to share a liquor coffee. Tia Maria was the final chance for failure but again it was excellent. All in all we weren’t rushed, we spoke at length to about three separate staff members and everyone was really nice. We will 100% be going back and can’t wait. One of the best meals we’ve had.

My daughter and I met 3 friends yesterday 27/12/22 for lunch. Nice atmosphere, superb, scrumptious & sizzling food. Loved it!!!! The waiter who started on the same day served us with smiles and was like he'd been working there for years. The waitress too was very professional and helpful. We drove 37 miles to lunch and we'll definitely do it again

Lovely food, beautifully cooked and presented. I don't often have dessert but the flourless chocolate cake was excellent, light and flavoursome. Very nice polite helpful staff too.

Absolutely amazing authentic Turkish food, that makes your taste buds come alive. The decor along with ambience is 5 star. The cherry on the cake is a particular member of staff by the name of Mishell. He was so pleasant, attentive and gave excellent service . West End service and food with West Wickham price. Definitely recommend and will be going back again
