We usually have dinner in one of the local restaurants, when going to the Opera House, but decided to give the in-house Hippodrome restaurant a try, when we went to Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty. This really is a great idea! You can have the table all night, which means that you can go back to have your dessert, in the interval. The restaurant schedule is tailored to the performances, so there isn't that mad rush out into the cold, and then having to queue at the bar when you get inside the Opera House,( as happens when you go to another restaurant). The Hippodrome experience is altogether more calm and civilised. The food is good, although the menu is a bit limited, but , to be honest, it's as good as anywhere else, and certainly not any more expensive, and staff are delightful. We were totally converted, and will go to The Hippodrome every time we frequent the Opera House from now on. It means one taxi, there and back, and being dropped off at the door. Just want to commend the office staff also, for going to great trouble to get us a programme for the ballet, as there were none on the night we attended, and we e-mailed to ask if they would have a spare one? Not only did they reply almost immediately, but they arranged for my husband to collect the programme in person! Now, that's what I call going the extra mile, to keep people happy. Fantastic!

Absolutely Superb Family run Cafe on the Belmont Road in East Belfast.. First thing that struck me was how very clean & well maintained the place was.. There are also some Beautiful Historic Pictures of East Belfast on the walls.. Something that I believe is always lovely to see.. The Service was prompt, polite & all you could ask for.. As for the Food, I had the Vegatarian Fry & it was Superb.. Very Tasty with a very good mixture of items.. (Items can be replaced by request when making your order).. My Friend had the Soup with Wheaten Bread & she said that it was Delicious.. She also commented on the cleanliness & First Class Presentation of the Establishment.. This was my first visit but I will definitely be back.. I Highly Recommend this Cafe for Food or Drink at any time of the day..

Was here for a event. Cant believe in a pre arranged event they ran out of Guinness before 11pm... particularly since from what I could see there was very little Guinness sold...I wonder could the barman just not be bothered changing the keg???

Throughly deplorable service. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. If you want your day spoilt go here

Looked good from the outside but a little grubby inside. They maybe need to freshen it up a little. We had a cheese sandwich and sausage roll and a couple of tray bakes. The sandwich was pretty poor but the rest was nice enough. Average prices. Waiting staff very pleasant and helpful as seems to be the case in Belfast overall.

Gran lugar para reunirse con el personal del café muy amable, por lo que el propietario tiene excelentes precios, lo que lo convierte en un excelente blanco
