Food arrived late and cold £3 something credit to account for the whole order unedable

I was in need of a snack before a meeting. I passed Hing's saw a parking space and stepped in to read the menu. I ordered a Chicken Satay takeaway. It was superb. Piping hot plenty of chicken and vegetable and a very moreish satay gravy. Sat in the car and ate the lot. Thoroughly recommended

Very disappointed. We waited an hour and 30 mins for our food, possibly longer. It was honestly the worst Chinese takeaway we’ve ever tasted.

I ordered this for my son and his girlfriend it cost £44 and they said it was awful. The food tasted bland and greasy. I’ll never order from here again what a waste of money

My son and his girlfriend ordered through JustEat but I had the unhappy experience of trying the food too. Bland is the best way to describe it. Chicken Chow Mein was colourless as well as flavourless. Duck was as dry as a bone. Ribs, the less said the better.

Absolutely lovely food, last ordered from Hings when on holiday in Weymouth 9 years ago and on holiday here again and ordered from them again, wasn't disappointed at all, just as good as we remembered, great flavours on all of the dishes we ordered.

Fast delivery. Piping hot. Good portion sizes. Delicious!

Sweet & sour chicken - Great. Chips - Great. Fried rice - Looks as if it was mixed with last night's fried rice but passable. Chow mein - Must have been from last night. Overcooked, slimey, tried one bite and had to bin it. But the chicken and chips was great!

Just went to collect an order, no option to pay via card and was told cash only! Had no means of paying cash so had to leave without anything! I'm all for keeping cash circulating but to have no option at all in 2024 tells me someone is avoiding paying tax!! Avoid

Ordered through Just Eat. Half our order was missing so we phoned up and a young guy said our order was sent out in two bags and that it was an issue with Just Eat not delivering the whole of our order. He said it was sent out with another order so the driver must have delivered some of our food to the wrong customer. We said we had received two bags but hadn’t received all our items to which he responded that perhaps it went out in 3 bags (??). He explained he couldn’t just give us the missing items as he can’t give out free food. We had been waiting well over an hour for our food and was starving by this point. It was also a birthday meal. As Hings Kitchen would not arrange for the missing meals to be delivered, we tried to claim a partial refund through Just Eat for the missing items which was rejected because we could not prove it.

It made a change that the food was hot, but very enjoyable

Not great. Food tasted 'old' the noddles were plain and greasy. Sauce very watery. Sorry I wouldn't order again.

Just had a takeaway having been fed up of trying the other local ones that have been very poor as of late. Not been here for a few years but thought what the hell let’s give it a go - must say it was fantastic!!! Not oily, not oversalted, best takeaway we have had locally for a very long time

Quick and easy delivery to the nearby caravan park where we were staying. Food was hot and delicious.

Needed a quick chow mein dinner for a Friday night. Waited quite a while for two portions with pork balls. Had a few mouthfuls and decided against eating the rest. Somehow the noodles tasted old and the pork balls were in fact minced pork. It all tasted horrible, money wasted and still hungry.

very disappointed in the quality of the food, mushroom fried rice, mushrooms weren't cooked, no egg in egg fried rice, noticeable difference in the sweet sour chicken!!! Increase in price does not kevel up to the quality!

Had a hot and sour soup and special chow mein 😠 The soup was not good and i asked for the chow mein to be spicy. No spice and i could have made this at home as it has no flavour of a good chow mein from a takeaway!!! Would not recommend and i am not happy 😠

Ordered Thai green curry tonight and Singapore noodles. Never have I had a worse meal in my entirety. If you like searching for any kind of meat in any of the above dishes then you are a better person than me. Thai sauce was non existent an of you like big shavings of carrot and BROCKLEY in your meal then this is the place. STAY AWAY.

I first used this takeaway in the late 1990s and, at that time, I commented that it was the best Chinese takeaway I’d ever used….crispy chicken balls, great quality meat in their curries. Sadly this has changed; soft batter on chicken balls, and the beef used in the curry was a disgrace! Almost entirely of a chewy consistency and virtually all gristle. Not a pleasant experience.

Apart from their ingredients, the dishes I received bore no resemblance to what I ordered. The dishes were heavily salted /the sauce base was Thai sweet chilli sauce, clearly not home made Chinese sauces at all. I ordered egg fried rice and received instead plain rice which was short rain, broken rice, the cheapest product available and itself was dry and flavourless. Frankly this food tasted worse and less authentic than a chinses takeaway i ordered this week from a supermarket This "culinary" experience was further worsened by the super long wait in a stuffy waiting area with the young man on the counter clearly unable to deal with any of the increasingly frustrated customers asking for the status of their dishes. Why employ anyone to coordinate orders/ deal with customers complaints if he is unwilling to get off of his seta and enquire with the 'kitchen" what is happening with food orders. Clearly they were busy wen I visited (good for them) but they should focus more on managing their customers' expectations. With fond memories of this place when growing up in weymouth (when it was owned by a resident family), i was very disappointed by this experience and wont be patronising them again. While the prices were fine, the service and product received were very poor and it smacks of "rip-off Britain" where service and reputation no longer appear to matter.

Order tonight was told it would be 30 mins. Took an hour before our order was ready. We ordered a young chow fried rice. This a was terrible, the rice was boiled for starters and very little else in it at all. 1/2 aromatic duck, the duck was cold and the hoisin sauce was oily and sickly. Egg fried rice, very minimal egg was just like plain rice. I am nice left with a horrible greasy taste in my mouth and have rembered why we have left it over a year since going there last time. Stay well clear if you like nice food.

We really enjoyed our takeaway from Hings tonight. The food tasted fresh and hot. Decent size portions with plenty of meat and vegetables. Excellent service when ordering by phone and also when picking food up (cash only). We will visit again. (Thought I'd post photos of the menu as the only online menu I could find was not very easy to read, so hopefully these might be slightly clearer.)

What an absolute waste of time ordering from hings! Lost food and it turns up cold, you phone them and they cannot / won't accept responsibility for their lack of customer service! I wouldn't use them again!! Be warned people.

Always used to have our takeaway from here. But within the last 12 months, food has been awful. Complained once, my peking ribs were usually in a sauce, but they arrived all dry with a sloppy watery sauce poured over. Tonight's was worse. 1 hour 15 minutes later (was told 40 minutes) food arrived cold, had to re heat in the microwave, everything salty. My duck in plum sauce had pineapple, if I wanted duck with pineapple I would have ordered it, didn't even taste of plum sauce. Staff on the phone weren't helpful. Asked me what they wanted to do. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be going there again

One of the best Chinese takeaways I've had! They do not mess about with portion sizes and the food was delicious! Food was ready to collect when I arrived after placing an order over the phone and the staff were super friendly! Would 100% recommend if you are in the area and fancy a takeaway

Absolutely lovely takeaway! Weren’t sure what to have for dinner on our short break but so glad we gave this place a go! A bit of a strange special fried rice (special fried rice topped with a whole fried egg, chicken and pork slices then a sweet savoury thick sauce) not your typical style but none the less delicious! The ribs were crispy and juicy, satay chicken beautiful and tasty!! Would definitely order gain! Absolutely impressed!

Waited 35 mins after being told 15-20 , no apology just we are very busy. Got home to Portland and the order was wrong so phone them and they said bring it back I said we live on Portland ,ok he said we will deliver it ! How long would that that take ? ,,!! Told them I would not be using them again ,which is a shame as we have use them since ,1987

You used to get really good customer service here as well as nice food, now the food is late, the order is incorrect and they really couldn't care less about it. For the record I don't ever need an additional 2 pots of curry sauce instead of the chips I always order when ordering 2 curries. I also don't appreciate being told I was in the wrong.

Sadly I couldn't eat my king prawn chow mein. It didnt smell right, I ate 2 prawns, they were rubbery and didnt seem right. My husband ordered beef and mushrooms, but couldn't eat the beef. The beef was tough and jellified. So ate the mushrooms and half the rice. Huge disappointment. Never again.

We are from South Wales and were on the local campsite when we decided to have a take away from Hings Kitchen and we must say the food was delicious,far far better than we get in our home town. Also the staff were very polite. If ever we're in Weymouth again we know where to go go a tasty Chinese.

Ordered chicken and mushrooms and egg fried rice two nights ago and spent the whole of the rest of that evening and night being more thirsty than I've ever been in my life.

Very tasty Mushroom in curry sauce takeaway large portion too.

Took over 2 hours to arrive after saying it would be 45 mins and got really grumpy when I called to ask where it was. Will not be ordering from them again.

Have to say it was terrible chicken noodles were very salty and where was the chicken and as for the special fried rice the pork pieces was chewy and three small pieces of chicken and pork not very good at all will not be going back even if was the last Chinese takeaway in Weymouth

Used to use this takeaway a lot, was always ok. Used it twice recently and had problems with our food not being ready at the time we were told and being given the wrong order. Staff not interested when we told them this, they tried to say we ordered wrong, but we are unlikely to order something we don't even like. Food at joy work and golden kitchen.on the Abbotsbury Road is much better and staff friendly and helpful.

We're on Holiday here for the week and had a takeaway from Hings Kitchen 2 days in a row and would say it's up there with the best we've had. Looks clean and the staff were friendly. The food on both occasions was excellent and would definitely recommend.

Good food, good prices, welcoming.

Pretty fast service for a Friday night, even for a large order. We tried ribs, s&s chicken balls, ku pow chicken, chow mein, king prawn curry and rice's. They were also flexible and able to do veg in black bean, which wasn't on the menu. The food was OK, nothing a amazong but pretty good.

We have lived in Weymouth for a number of years and this is the first time of trying this takeaway. I cant recommend it highly enough. Prompt delivery, hot food and absolutely delicious. This will be our Chinese takeaway from now on.

Really nice little Chinese takeaway we tried when staying at Chesil Vista holiday park. We ordered in person, with only a 10 minute wait for our food. The staff member was friendly and read our order back to us. The food was delicious, we had soup, some starters and some mains. It was all very tasty and hot and the portion sizes were very generous. It's not the cheapest takeaway, but was good value for money.

Hings is a good chinese take away providing good basic chinese food. We have used hings ever since we moved into Williams Avenue 15 years ago and have never had a bad meal from them. If you want fancy pancakes and shredded duck, go down the road to the Mayflower.
