A special place; intoxicatingly delicious flavours and presentation, superb friendly and unobtrusive service from the host owners and their staff, perfectly balanced atmosphere. First time here, won’t be the last. Off the high street and so worth discovering for yourself. Sublime pan fried dumplings starter and Hung Po chicken with fried rice main, and a tasty Pino too. I have not been here in a while and I think management may have changed?! Either that or they have some more motivated staff. I got the vegetarian Mapo tofu, egg fried rice, veggie spring rolls that came with sweet and sour sauce. And it was tasty! With the perfect level of takeaway Chinese grease that one would need for flavour!

Best Chinese take away in Stanmore, delicious food and friendly staff.

The food used to be great, however now it’s very bland and tasteless. Not sure if the takeaway has changed hands or the chefs have changed? Definitely something has changed for the worse.

This place used to be really good however they recently changed their supplier without notice and their food is no longer halal!

Used to be excellent taste and portion size - could easily last us two days. Unfortunately, although appreciate prices are going up everywhere, their takeaway portion sizes are clearly smaller (can see they are using smaller tupperware boxes!). Also if you ever have an issue they are extremely reluctant and quite rude to do anything about it, even if you’ve been ordering there for years. What a shame. Prianka

I have been going to Hings for years. Food always excellent but lately it has not been great. Broccoli in garlic and ginger I could not make myself to eat it! Portion sizes are smaller and prices of course have risen! Sorry Hings but I have to be honest

Order chilli chicken for collection and asked to make it extra spicy , called and mention few times to make it extra spicy but it was just waste of time and money. Chicken wast cooked properly. Called to make complaint about food and I was told to bring it back and we will extra chilli??? No sign of any apologies and rude attitude. Won’t recommend to anyone to go there. They don’t care about customers and their health anymore

Advised on order a time scale for delivery, well out of timescale advised on, when called advised waiting for one dish to finish cooking then will be on way, when tried calling again as another 30 minutes later cant get through to then constantly engaged. Food arrived half cold half warm. Wont be ordering from here again.

The best Chinese/Malay take away in North West London. The food looks and tastes like you'd find in a sit down restaurant. When we moved into the area, we tried numerous places, and settled on Hing's and never looked back. I tend to collect, as it's quicker, but the times I chose a delivery, the food was just as fresh and delicious. 10/10 without a doubt.

This restaurant is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I want to go to a good lunch, this place comes instantly to my head. outstanding and all sorts of food and a rich cuisine.great staff members, and pleasant ambience. Also important, the price is reasonable. I sent my friends to this restaurant with pleasure.

Hings has become our go to Chinese takeaway. We have always found them to be super friendly and open to cooking orders not on their menu, such as black bean broccoli! The sweet and sour sauce is one of the best I have ever tasted (my family used to own a takeaway and the sauce tastes very similar to my mums - she used to take so much care in making it). The portions are also very generous. The picture I attach is where we had already started eating.

It’s New Year’s Eve, I placed my order and 2.5hours later no food. We called for 30mins and no on answered so My husband drove to the restaurant to be told order hasn’t been prepared.I have a young child who hadn’t eaten dinner and they didn’t even care. So if you want to have a good meal, on time then order from somewhere else. Save yourself the headache and your money

Quick service and good tasty food.

Okay, so you order, it says 45mins, it takes 2-3 hrs, know one answers phones, or always engaged. Food arrives cold. First time you think its just a one off but today is the 3rd time, avoid at all costs , honestly a, terrible people to order from, when I did get through once , nasty and rude

We love eating out. Yesterday we found this fine place which friends told us about. We had a lovely time there with very good meal and a well-trained stuff and a talented cook. We put this venue in our list and we will surely come back very soon. Highly recommended.

Made an online order during off peak hours (5:55pm), got an email confirming the order and delivery to be within 60mins MAX. At 7:15pm we called Hings as we hadn't received the delivery. After 5mins of being on hold, a member of staff apologized saying they are really busy and the food will be another 20/30mins and no compensation was offered. Spoke to the manager Sisi, who again apologized but said they 'too busy' and are cooking our meal now (clearly forgot to cook or order) but yet again no compensation. Apparently too busy to call customers informing of delay but yet not too busy accept new orders. Would hate to think what delivery time would be if we had ordered in peak hours. After 15mins of waiting on the phone, she finally admitted they messed up and hadn't actually started on our order. A total wait of 2 hours for 4 items is a joke! Only compensation offered was £10 off our next order as we had already paid for the current order online. Waste of a compensation offering as wont be ordering from here again. PS: I was also informed in future not to order online and to do by phone (why offer this service)

Very good food, tasty, large portions. But plan ahead as they get very busy in the evenings. 60-90 min wait is the norm. Clean, never made any mistakes with my order.

Every dish I’ve ever had from here (and I’ve tried MANY in the 8 years I’ve lived in Stanmore) has been excellent. The starters are great: special mention to the salt & pepper wings/ribs, the prawn toast, the chicken satay and the aromatic duck. The main dishes are superb: special mention to the Hunan chilli chicken, the beef in XO sauce, the Indonesian fried rice, Japanese udon noodles with king prawns...I could go on! Service is always friendly and they try to be as prompt as possible, even when they’re busy - which is most weekends! We usually collect as there is generally less of a waiting time. Best Chinese takeaway in the Harrow borough by a mile!

1hr 50mins and still waiting for my delivery, Tried phoning for last 40mins, always engaged. Avoid this place if you actually want your food , useless, never again !

Ordered Kung pao. Got something that tasted more like sweet and sour

This eatery is very local to us and being a vegetarian I tend to order mock chicken in black bean sauce. I’ve tried one or two of the other mock chicken dishes but have always liked this one more.I found the quality of food good on most times but have also had times where the sauce appeared to be watery and egg fried rice to be raw.My partner always orders sweet and sour chicken and salt and pepper chicken. No complaints from him!

Felt like i need good Chinese food n i bought a portion of Chicken Noodles from Hings Kitchen after a recommendation and i was so impressed about the taste and the huge portion for only £8. The chicken Noodles were beautiful cooked and the lady was very polite and helpful with the recommendations The best Chinese food in Stanmore Highly recommended 👌 🥰

Really disappointing meal. The portion sizes were extremely small, and the vegetable vegetarian Singapore noodles were flavourless and bland. The noodles had no vegetables what so ever. Very disappointing meal for the price I paid.

We have been looking for a decent chinese for a while but most haven't come up to standard. After recommendations on our local group we decided to try Hings. The food was excellent and tasted delicious and portions were of a generous size. We would highly recommend.

Delivered via the Hings website. Arrived on time, tasty, hot (temperature wise), good size portions and would definitely reorder again. I thought the order would have taken longer than indicated due to the current lockdown but it didn't. The delivery driver adhered to social distancing when giving us the food. I think we've found our new local takeaway!

We ordered for the first time last night. Online ordering was straightforward enough but wasn’t entirely customer-friendly in that the menu only named the dishes but didn’t describe them at all or list any ingredients except for the most obvious. We chose to pick up our order because the waiting time was half. In its favour, the order was correct, the food was hot, it was fresh tasting and not greasy. My only disappointment is that the food was quite bland. If I had had more information about the dishes I had ordered, I probably would have ordered differently. The printed menus don’t have descriptions either. We may try it again in future.

Every dish I’ve ever had has been really very tasty. The duck is delicious, the salt and pepper ribs are outstanding, the Hunan chilli chicken is one of the best. Never had a bad meal from here.

This is my 1st time ,it was 100% good , would recommend this place to evey one ,spar ribs meat was tender, chicken was tender , will be ordering from them again 100% , what more can I say , no negative at all. Love this place best in and around stanmore and Edgware, and burntoak ,

I live near Watford and there is not one decent Chinese in the area. So went on trip advisor and saw Hings. It’s only a 10 minute drive so thought let’s try it as good reviews. Phoned to order exceptionally friendly staff. When I arrived to collect lovely ladies serving. Got home and the food was piping hot even after a drive home. Exceptional quality. Can’t wait to order again. Thank you for serving great quality food

This is, as the name suggests a take away establishment, with delivery service. Generally the delivery service is efficient but the whole system has to wait for the kitchens to deliver up the food which could be delayed by customers coming in off the street.. The food is good, tasty, arrives approx. within a reasonable time. The portions are good and the food fresh, matters are really defined by what time you want your food, busy times may give delay.

Couldn’t fault. Ordered via Just Eat. Great quality, nice delivery guy and generous portions. Fair value. Arrived 30 minutes early, always welcome! Came with a 2018 calendar - nice!

Food is always made well and is tasty. There is a minimum delivery but as a big family we always order enough. The delivery never takes too long and the food is always warm. What more can you ask for?

The food is good but the hot and sour soup can be a bit too hot but if you ask for it to be milder, they comply. I have had takeaway from there but on one or two occasions it has arrived seriously late although still hot. On the last occasion, my friend booked it and we collected the meal on the way home. We were kept waiting a little while but not too long beyond the agreed pick-up time.

A good quality Chinese takeaway. Everything looks and tastes freshly prepared and the prices are very reasonable. Delivery is quick and efficient, and you get what you order! Recommend the Honey Roast Pork.

Love this hidden gem in Stanmore. Takeaway always hot , delicious, tasty, VFM and throw in bottle of pop too if u spend over certain amount. Negative-if you wanna eat at 8 pm order delivery at 7 pm especially on weekends gets very busy. Collection is 15 mins. Worth the wait. Never go anywhere else .

Great food. Would have been 5*. But, if you pay by credit card you are a second class citizen and delivery is one hour minimum. Guess they just like cash!

Order from here regularly, the food is excellent! Always fresh, non greasy or gloopy like most, king po prawns and the satay chicken main dishes are delicious!
