Closed No one is there. Shut up shop it seems no notice on door either. It was very nice. Food and staff were very accomodating its a shame

We had a great time at Chingon (Hatch End), food was great, all different tastes and textures. James was fantastic, he gave us very good ideas on what to select from the menu and we weren't disappointed! He did warn us about the chilli sauce, what a scorcher! One of the best margarita's we have had also, we will be coming back!

Came here again with friends for dinner recently. We were seated right at the back of the restaurant away from where the staff and other guests were, which meant that we weren't attended to at all for a while. Strange decision, given that there was plenty of space elsewhere in the restaurant! When we mentioned this, the staff were happy to re-seat us. Service afterwards was friendly, the food was great as always, and at a reasonable price. Overall, a blip at the start of the evening, but otherwise a decent time out.

Came here recently with friends for the first time. We were seated quickly, and the service was fairly friendly. Food came on time and tasted amazing! Prices are mid-range with decently-sized portions, worth it in my view. Good range of choices for vegetarians which was good to see. Overall, came away with a very good first impression - would recommend!

Having previously experienced genuine Mexican food we were keen to try Chignon and we were not disappointed. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we had a cosy table for two with great cheerful service. It's not a massive menu but plenty to choose from. We decided on this visit to sample the starters and tacos, omitting the mains, as we thought it would be too much. We were correct. We shared starters of tostadas, one sushi-grade tuna and chicken tinga - both delicious. We then shared tacos of Spicy confit pulled pork shoulder and Sautéed garlic prawns - again so tasty. So having no mains we decided to share a pud and opted for the CHURROS a great decision. So, all in all we loved it and will most definitely go there again. The white Italian wine was great as was the selection of bottled beer. Price very good at just under £70

Restaurant was very busy on a Friday evening and the place was short staffed however ambiance was good. The tacos were soggy and churros were dry. The waitress also confirmed all the desserts apparently contained gelatin too so nothing available for vegetarians. Much better options to eat out on the Hatch End parade and for Mexican I prefer Wahaca.

Nothing amazing about this place, waited ages for water, food is okay but nothing to write home about. Best dish Baja fish. Had to ask for them to take our order whilst 5 just coated around the bar and left unattended. Then left again after clearing plates, came back to ask if we needed anything else! Well deserved would be good was the response! Not stupidly expensive at £65 a couple but wouldn't rush back.

Great food, great margaritas, great seasonal cocktails. Love the open front of the restaurant it makes you feel like you’re not in hatch end! We’ve never had bad service here - it’s not intrusive and always polite and smiley staff and they usually find us a table even if we haven’t booked and we never feel rushed. Deffo recommend here when you don’t want a huge plate of food - it’s great for grazing and cocktails

Absolutely perfect Mexican food, drinks and service. James took our booking and was attentive and thorough with genuinely great recommendations. Our whole family enjoyed an array of great Mexican starters and tacos we had no room for a main dish.

Nice good but the service let it down. I went with a big group and the rice was uncooked, the server also knocked some food on the floor without realising but it wasn’t replaced and no money was taken off the bill. Despite being empty the service was also quite slow and we waited a very long time for even just some tap water :(

Went there for my wife’s birthday lunch. Waitress slapped four menus down and without a word went back to playing with her phone. Took Drinks orders without any charm and went back to her phone. Then served the food with zero interaction and nil charm and then went back to standing at the bar playing with her phone! Paid the bill (removing service charge) If it was my business I would sack her lazy and unprofessional ****

Tuna starter delicious. Lots of tasty fillings for Tacos to suit all pallets. Very attentive service. Will be visiting again.

Not a great meal. Service was quite unattentive. Food was bland and mediocre - I ordered a chicken main which was flavourless and full of bones. Cost £50 for 2 which was a expensive for what we ate. Music was overly loud for a restaurant (loud music is more appropriate for a bar). Will not be returning

The decor in the restaurant is lovely, drawing from the Mexican origins of the cuisine served, and more than aptly accompanied the meal. Their service was fantastic. Specifically James Radik, whom I believe is the owner, who was happy to answer any and every question we had in a patient, polite and informative manner. They have an amazing selection of cocktails, some good beers, and overall a very varied drinks menu, which maintains quality and taste whilst sticking to the Mexican theme. There were some rather tropical fruits involved with the cocktails that we tried, namely Lychee and Passionfruit, which were very tasty. The food itself was spectacular, having been to visit Mexico myself I feel that I can say with a degree of certainty that it really is spot on. So good I had to go back again and explore the desert menu for dinner and I was even more impressed. I feel I must add that I cannot speak on the quality of the meat dishes as my family and I are vegetarian, which was not a problem at all in terms of options or food quality, but I am certain that if the non-vegetarian food can even belong in the same league as the vegetarian food you will be pleased. 10/10 experience that I cannot recommend more highly. Many thanks to the staff for fantastic food and sublime service.

Fantastic food and cocktails and very helpful staff. They have a limited but good wine menu and everything is very reasonably priced. Favourite dishes were the ceviche and tacos al pastor. Highly recommend.
