Good hotel generally with good sized rooms & desk area but breakfast is poor. Cooked English was cold - almost every item was tepid at best. Even the coffee machine was dishing out lukewarm drinks.

From reception, the hotel looks modern and smart, but it’s a different story in the rooms. Bed was AWFUL. Neither of us had much sleep - bed was hard and lumpy. (Accessible) room was a good size, with plenty of room for my wheelchair, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired - battered folding door; large mirror a foot in front of you when sitting on the toilet (who needs that!); and I was unable to unhook the feeble-looking shower seat, let alone risk sitting on it! Breakfast was possibly the worst hotel Full English I’ve ever had - dry, powdery ‘scrambled eggs’, cheap sausages and chemical-tasting mushrooms. My husband asked for poached eggs and had to ask again 20 minutes later, by which time I had eaten what I was going to eat of my breakfast. If you’re looking at a city trip to treat yourself, don’t pick here!

Rooms were basic and okay for a night, but uncomfortable beds and lacking in amenities. I don't expect the world from a Garden Inn, so that on its own is fine. I am giving two stars for the appalling service on check-in. I'm a Friends and Family Member who checked in online. Was repeatedly asked for photo ID to 'identify myself' in a frankly embarrassing manner. Not something I've been asked to do in any Hilton before, and something I'm clearly happy to do with notice. Following this, I wasn't told of any amenities or services -- no water in rooms, no mention there was a facility FOR water in reception, no mention of breakfast or parking... nothing. The decor and TVs here are like something from the early 00s, and heating was automatically on at 24.5 degrees making for a pretty uncomfortable stay as it took the room ages to cool down. As a positive, Tom (I think) who stored our bags the next morning was a delightful bloke, and the location is great.

Came to a conference at the ICC BIRMINGHAM CONFERENCE CENTRE so checked in on Friday the 24th of January, I had no idea where the ICC was so I asked reception who explained it was about a 3mins walk I was really surprised and very happy as I’ve never been before. I checked in and proceeded to my room, on first impression the room was very tidy the bed was great too had a real comfy sleep! I even ordered fish and chips from the Resess restaurant to take to my room, it was served on a tray and they even helped me pressed the left, I’m gonna tell you now if you stay here please please try the fish and chips you won’t be disappointed!!!!! It was ssssoooooo gggooood served with curry sauce which I judged at first glance but my oh my the entire dish just came together so well! And the mushy peas were really tasty to my surprise. All in all my stay here at the Hilton was second to none and I would stay here again for sure!!! It’s conveniently located to the ICC conference centre, sea life and Lego land. And also close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. And the place I parked my car qperk cost me 48£ Friday to Sunday.

The staff were very welcoming as soon as we entered and reception staff went out their way to ensure we were welcome and comfortable. The rooms were clean and made lovely. Nice and cosy and easy to navigate. They have lifts for easy access. I was there for a work event and it was easy to know where I needed to be. The staff hosting our party seemed weary of me being apart of the party and not very warm to speak to. We were not offered our welcome drinks that was paid by my company and were standing around awkwardly and had to ask. The location is great and very close by there are restaurants and bars. Easy parking Aswell. The area felt safe and easy to navigate! Please do not do beetroot wellington for vegetations, it was awful rather have a pasta or pizza

Avoid during December! A well-placed hotel, run by nice people - especially Connor in the on-site restaurant and bar. The rooms are OK, but the beds are not up to Premier standard and the bathrooms are a little cramped. The old TVs leave a little to be desired. Avoid lower rooms around the back unless you like being woken up early by the rumbling of laundry bins. Nice but compact little car park underneath with key code lock on the shutter door. The on-site restaurant and bar seem OK, but here's the issue - you won't be able to get to them if there's a private function in the evening. This of course happens towards Xmas weekends. We had to go elsewhere in the evening for a drink as the bar was taken up by a disco and the guests of the private function. Nice self-service breakfast.

Very dissapointed in this hotel. Staff on reception were not particularly welcoming. I had when booking been asked if we were booking foe a special occasion I advised it was our 40th Anniversary of meeting and was assured that the hotel would be able to 'do something' for us ! Nothing is what they did ! We went to the bar in the afternoon hardly any tables the room was pretty empty of places to sit, again, not the best service apart from the very pleasant young gentleman that served us at the table. He was great !! They had removed all the tables and chairs from the bar for an event I understand Christmas parties etc but spare a thought for those of us that had booked this as a special treat. Nowhere for us to sit and relax at the end of the evening with a nightcap. Breakfast was good, though again struggling for seats !! I think this hotel is not value for money my advice book a premier !

We have stayed in the queen family room with my wife and 7 years old kid. The main trouble is the bed. It is a super small size, the smallest bed I have ever experienced in the hotels. Very uncomfortable sleeping for 2 people. Kids extra bed was good. The shower is just a curtain inside the bathroom with bad smell from the sewers. The water does not go out from the sink, they should clean the sewers definitely. The location is good. You need to pre book the parking at Q-Park, cause it is always full. There is an another parking in 10 minutes walk, but also overcrowded. Overall, that is not the best Hilton I have ever stayed. Will choose another hotel for the next trip to Birmingham.

First time staying here. The check-in was quick and easy. We found our room easily, the room was spacious, clean and had lots of storage space if you wanted to unpack, also a good view. The lift was close by, and the restaurant wasn't far, which was handy for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from. There was a cooked breakfast, cold breakfast options such as cereal, yoghurt and Granola etc. Milk alternatives also. There was jams, spreads, marmite, pastries, juices and even a waffle maker. There was a lovely lady making custom omelettes or fried eggs. Couldn't fault it.

Good location, the staff are nice and helpful enough. Had to ask to change room as mine still had previous occupants dirty towels in the shower. And the rooms in general, a bit tatty/outdated and in need of a serious face-lift! Shower also a bit old school and lacking decent pressure/power. It's strange as the lobby and communal areas all look very up market and modern, but I've genuinely experienced nicer rooms in a travelodge. Bonus star as the breakfast was great, a bit expensive for what it is but obviously all you can eat had a lot of decent options. Car park also really good, right underground and secure which is nice.

We stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn, Brindley Place, the night before our wedding and the night of our wedding. Honestly speaking, we had originally looked elsewhere, at a local hotel that was rather more expensive, but their customer service was awful, which we are so grateful for because having found The Hilton Garden Inn we ended up having the best experience. They allowed dogs (our dog Teddy was included in the wedding and was able to stay over too), catered for breakfast, and when we told them the hair stylist and MUA were going to be arriving at 06:30hrs they didn’t even bat an eyelid. The staff helped with all our bags and getting up to our rooms. Our photo and film team used the common areas to take photos of my dress, and again the staff were so accommodating. We had 4 twin rooms that needed to change into doubles for the Saturday night, which they were really helpful in sorting out so we could move our belongings before leaving for the church. We were even able to leave a few things at reception as it was just easier. We cant thank the staff here enough for being so friendly and their exceptional customer service, it made the prep part of our wedding so much easier and took away so much stress that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Thank you again for making our wedding day so calm we are so very grateful. Love Gemma and Stu

Great location in a safe part of Birmingham. Stayed here after a Villa game and it was easy getting to and from Villa Park. Will be staying here again next time I’m in town for a Villa game. Only con was that the body wash was missing in the shower but that’s not enough to knock it down a star. Great service from the front desk also.

Overall a nice place. Staff are extremely friendly and customer focused. The breakfast Offering needs some tweeks of improvement. They had the usual Hilton trademark waffle machine, but no sirup, and none in the kitchen when we asked. We went there at 845, the egg station person had disappeared even though we were 45min before breakfast closed.

Our room was a decent size, the bed was pretty comfy- I've stayed at some Hilton locations where the bed appeared to be a slab of concrete, but not here! Staff were very smiley and helpful too. The hotel seemed pretty well kept and clean (not always the case in some Hilton hotels) and USB ports by the beds are always helpful. We'll definitely stay here again if we're out that way.

A super overpriced hotel. You pay for the Hilton name and the 4 stars, but behind you will have 2-3 stars level: small rooms, furniture installed improperly so you can’t open doors (see picture), weird ventilation, poor quality breakfast, untrained staff at checking in. Only good points for me were good wifi and super friendly staff at breakfast. But I won’t ever come back here. This hotel is a disgrace to the Hilton brand

Rooms are clean and modern. Great buffet breakfast. Plenty to choose from including hot porridge and a waffle maker. Lobby and food area spacious and clean. Reasonably priced.
