Shop has good selection of clothes, gifts, plants etc. Cafe is a nice area but it’s a cafe and food prices are too expensive for food served/quality of food eg shepherds pie and veg £9.95, chicken dinner £10.95. I could have gone to a lovely bar or restaurant and had similar from a lunch menu served to me in better surroundings for same price, maybe even less. Whole shop lacks atmosphere and could be great with some improvements.

Visited recently and the first thing was lack of disabled parking - three spaces. Inside very badly laid out for wheelchair access - some sections not accessible at all. e.g. seed display. This store is on two levels with only stairs to access lower section. The alternative is to exit and go right around the perimeter and re-enter from the rear. Very poor selection of seeds and a few bags of seed potatoes. The lower floor consists mainly of garden chemicals and barbecue related items. A limited selection of shrubs/flowers in the outer yard. So as I said it is not a Garden Centre but a clothes come fancy goods shop. Did purchase a few items and I have to say the staff were friendly and very helpful.I did not visit the cafe so cannot comment on the food.

Garden centre is fines, cafe on a is overpriced and not a very pleasant experience. You're asked what you want to eat before you've seen the menu or are aware of your options. You then have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it, which in our case was a quiche, mince pie and chips. Quality was ok, but not good enough to bring us back. Hotel prices for school dinner experience. Don't forget to clear yourself a table before you sit down. If they do discounts for pensioners I might be back for lunch in 10 years.

Scones here are huge and I loved the cherry ones with plenty of cherries all through them - until today! There was a cherry at the bottom on the outside which identified it but when I cut it open I discovered that was all there was - just the one cherry on the outside of an entire very plain scone. I won't be rushing back.

We called in here for coffee as we have done before and produced our "free coffee" card only to discover that they'd done away with it and replaced it with a new "Privilege" card. We got 1 point on it for each pound spent but we don't know yet what this will bring. The girl stated that offers would be displayed in store or on their Facebook Page (really useful when I'm not on Facebook and don't intend to ever be!) But apparently, I'll get a monthly email as an update. Anyway, time will tell. Coffee and scones were as good as usual.

Called in early on my way to a meeting for a quick coffee. The staff were still setting up - fair enough but I stood at the counter for 3 or 4 minutes as they worked behind the counter chatting to each other before they acknowledged me. I wasn't the only person there, there were two other ladies who were seated having coffee so I didn't see why I was being ignored? The short queue at the counter was quickly served, and a pleasant lady took our order, leaving us time to select our scones. Both coffee and scones were well made : we both enjoyed consuming them ! The tables were well spread out, available to seat two, four or more people. Despite being fairly busy, we had no difficulty in finding a table for two, and were pleased to note that the volume of noise from surrounding tables was not intrusive. Altogether, a very pleasant experience - and one which we intend to repeat shortly.

We visit here quite often but only because we like the freshness, variety and size of their scones. This is because their filter coffee is weak and watery so to get a decent cup of coffee we have to order their "americano" variety. They don't come round with refills but they do operate a loyalty card scheme, whereby if you buy something like 6 cups of coffee you get a 7th cup free. Unfortunately though if you buy 6 americano you still only get a cup of filter coffee free! Staff are friendly and helpful and there are always plenty of tables available if you go at about 10.30 - 10.45am.

I did get my OH to query this as it meant we paid £8 for a slice of nothing special quiche served on a side plate smaller than his panini plate, and we were told that the coleslaw substituted the veg and potatoes!!!I think you really need to look at pricing, and some staff need to look at their ways in managing customer queries we did not ask for money back but we were made to feel very uncomfortable for querying our meal.

My friend and I would meet here once a week for a catch up and would often sit for an hour or so for lunch and coffee. Our first visit was ok, I ordered a panini and my friend had a scone. I noticed the staff never wore gloves when handling food- this is a little off putting, especially since they were then handling money. I decided not to make a fuss so went with my friend to a table. The panini and scone came and although my salad garnish looked wilted, the food was ok. Came the following week, ordered the same again (scone and panini) and still the servers weren't wearing gloves. Again, i walked to my table, as I convinced myself that the staff would be washing their hands regularly. We were brought over the panini and scone and it started out just as the week before did- Except the giant hair that had been baked into the scone. We reported our findings to the server who reimbursed us but didn't seem too bothered when she apologised but my friend and I understand that the mistake was the kitchen's fault. It took us 3 weeks before we visited again, and we did so only because we wanted to get a gift from the shop. We decided to try again, and another scone was ordered, still no gloves on the servers, and we went to a table. Scone was brought over, and my friend seemed happy, until she pulled yet another mousy brown hair out of her mouth with a chunk of scone still attached (friends hair is jet black and mine is red). Again, we showed the server who again reimbursed us and apologised, but then went back to serving people with no gloves. Unfortunately, due to these hairy scones, we won't be back. I'm surprised, as the overall food prep areas seemed quite clean. Perhaps they should make Immac flavoured scones next time!

When it did come, it was inedible, it tasted more like an omelette with flour in it than a pancake. The scone I had was massive and it looked and smelled great! However it was dry and bland. Having eaten many times at the restaurant in Hillmount Garden Centre in Belfast, I was really looking forward to lunch here. But the cafe serving staff in this part of the Hillmount group were quite unfriendly, which took me aback, as most eateries nowadays pride themselves in being really helpful and welcoming.
