Boardwalk Social in North Down

Perfect in every way! The decorations and furniture are colourful, very modern without being too cold or corporate. Dog friendly but we chose to sit outside on this visit. I had the veggie benny and my boyfriend had the French toast. The French toast was colourful, and the fruit was fresh. The brioche bread used was thick and the portion size looked reasonable for the price. The veggy benny was also lovely. It has maltaise Hollandaise which is blood orange! It looked beautiful but I hadn’t realised it would be orange before I ordered. The staff were extremely lovely and accommodating and remade the dish with a normal holllandaise. I felt bad for my mistake but they provided excellent customer service and were very kind. We also had iced lattes. The coffee was smooth and the extra syrups we had made them even better. I also had one of the cookie sandwiches as a take out and it was exactly what you would like in a tray bake. All in all, it is the kind of place you would keep going back to as it has nice atmosphere, produces consistently good food and drink, and the service is amazing.

Don't normally leave reviews but very disappointed. This morning we went here and had cold hollandaise sauce with eggs benny and vegetarian eggs benny. So it was warm eggs, toast and bacon/halloumi, entirely covered in stone cold hollandaise sauce. It was odd and just sickening! We checked with the waitress, as we assumed a mistake had been made, but she assured us the hollandaise was intentionally cold (which I am still unsure is correct?). Very poor experience, would not recommend.

Great little place for coffee/brunch/lunch, food freshly prepared and nicely presented. It may be a small place but has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff... will be back

What a great place. Went for brunch with my daughter. The food was amazing. I had Bacon Pancakes which came with maple syrup, fried egg and biscoff cream. My daughter had the best French toast she had ever eaten. Coffee was great. Everything was served hot and beautifully presented and the service was so friendly. Highly recommend a visit when you are in Bangor.

This is a great looking little spot, we’ve given it a few tries since it’s been opened but every time we have found the service to be extremely slow. Today we went in for brunch and it took a full hour for our food to come out. We ordered avocado on toast and a breakfast bap, and the only cooked things in each were bacon and eggs, which each do not take an hour to cook. We also didn’t feel the food was that hot when it arrived either. We appreciate it was full at the time we went, however only 2 other tables had food before ours came out. By the time our food came our drinks were completely cold, and we normally would save some of our hot drinks to have with the food so this was also disappointing. The staff serving us were very friendly and apologetic, and they only charged us for the drinks which was definitely appreciated. However, we would’ve much preferred to have paid full price for prompt food service. This place is a good option if you are only grabbing a coffee to go, but if you are wanting to sit down and have hot food then there are definitely other places to go.
