We had long heard about Higgsys and a visit was long anticipated. Today (Saturday 10th) was that day! We arrived about 2.30 and after a fairly long wait was told that much of the required ingredients are sold out.....however, having settled for a couple of 'double dixies' one with pineapple in, I can honestly say neither my good lady or I had any regrets. They were the most delicious burgers we had ever tasted, I thought five guys were tasty, these knocked spots of them! Pricing was good, cheerful service, it was worth queueing for and Higgsys rightly lives up to it's hype on social media. I will return, maybe a little earlier next time, top job guys, an absolute delight.

Banging every time. Great food, great business owners. Chatty and make you feel welcome! More people should come here. They even had a competitive eater in!

Every time I go to higgsys im impressed , from the banter and fun conversation whilst you wait and anticipate a delicious burger to the improvements they make to the van and it surroundings . I’ve tried most of the menu now …..yep I’m fat !! No I just love burgers!! Ok I’m a little fat ! Anyway I digress!! You can’t fail to fall in love with a red neck or daisy duke …..simply put you must try a higgsys for not much more than a McDs meal you won’t be disappointed …..i must get round to doing the 4 burger challenge

I had heard a lot about the place and seen all the fantastic reviews so I thought I’d give it a go I had a fairly basic burger around about £6, quite expensive I thought. There was quite a wait as well., but I don’t mind that so much as clearly everything is cooked freshly I was extremely disappointed, it certainly wasn’t for me. It was greasy, the cheese which was a 4 cheese mix didn’t taste of cheese at all. Didn’t think much of the bun either, and I’m really struggling to come up with anything positive . But there are far too many good reviews to knock the place, it just wasn’t my cup of tea at all. Sorry.

At last a place that knows how to make a really great burger. The Smokey frankfurter just topped it off. I had a Daisy Duke with an extra patty. Just to keep it simple. And it’s the best burger I’ve had. Beats another burger place, just. Top guys as well. And genuinely appreciate the positive feedback as it shows how much they put in to it. There once was a little burger shack, next to Norman's cross. People who went there were cast a spell and only spoke of magical things! Let me tell you all this story only ends in one way .. Travelling back to Bristol and stumbled across this burger hut and decided to give it a whirl as the queue outside was around 20 deep! If you're craving delicious food served with a side of humility, look no further than this delightful burger hut. I had the Redneck with fries. Juicy and well caramelised burger. Blue cheese sauce went really well. Hot sauce on the fries were great. If I was local I would be attending every week!

After months of following Higgsy’s on their Facebook page, we finally had the opportunity to have our first Higgsy's today. It did not disappoint! We all had something different, with items added or removed. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners are lovely too. Chatted away while our order was being prepared. The food was great quality and really tasty. My order was gluten free and totally delicious. 😋 I messaged them the day before to let them know I’d be over at lunch and they arranged for a gluten free bap to be available for my burger order when I arrived. Thanks guys! Can’t wait to visit again soon and try a few more bits on the menu.

Have been a few times now and yes the food is good but just a little expensive. The issue isn’t the food it’s the owner. The woman that works there is absolutely lovely however! I’ve seen many other reviews mentioning arrogance also. I’m sure this review will be classed as “someone who’s never been” or “fake” The arrogant attitude unfortunately puts people off and seriously why is there “merch” for a burger van? Very bizarre indeed…. I think if the owner humbled himself and actually took the criticism like an adult instead of making Facebook statuses like he does, it would look better on them all round.

I have been wanting to try Higgsy’s for a long time now as I've been following their socials and the food always looks so good! Me and my partner decided to finally go try it as a bank holiday treat! We couldn’t decide between the chicken burger or beef burger, so we got both! We also got the breakfast topped chips. I can honestly say it was all banging! Every bite of it was incredible. It’s one of those meals that the next day you’re left thinking I wish I could eat it all again! We will certainly be back to try more of the menu. My partner is also keen to do the food challenge.

Went to sample Higgys delights today and I am not ashamed to say that my husband and I are going back tomorrow to try something else...it is that good! The Dixie burger was delicious and a good size too! I know one of the owners and he is so lovely and his partner seems super lovely. Excellent food from a great couple! A MUST try!

Wow 🤩 what can I say. Higgsy’s were awarded ‘The Best Burgers in Cambridgeshire’ and I have to 100% agree! We had a Redneck burger each with a side of fries. From the first bite you can tell they use high quality ingredients, everything was full of flavour, not over seasoned and so, so juicy 🤤 they really know what they are doing! They are the nicest people you will ever meet too 🥰 My advice to you is get there early, they sell out really quickly and if you are a first timer give the Redneck a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Me and my partner were really excited to try Higgsy's are seeing them on social media and hearing about the food from a friend. We arrived and were greeted by two lovely people, super friendly and couldn't have done more for us. The food smelt amazing and everything was really clean and hygienic. My partner chose the redneck burger and I had the rooster and they did not disappoint! Absolutely incredible, it's the best chicken burger I've ever had. My partner said the same for the redneck. Just a brilliant local business. We went after seeing the outstanding reviews on here (ignoring the usual whingers that seem to blight every successful company!) And we were not disappointed. The food was hot, freshly cooked with care. So tasty and grease free! We loved having a chat with the owners who were super friendly and accommodating of my strange sauce choices! 🤣 We don't live locally sadly, we were visiting friends and wanted a bite while we were up, but if we were we'd be there every week I think. Also, the chef was sweating while we were there too!! But working over a griddle what do you expect 🤣🤣🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

A real focus on quality from these guys. Decent beef, top notch frankfurters and awesome service. These are some of the best burgers in Cambridgeshire, if not the UK.

Can’t recommend enough! Lovely people and lovely food. Have seen lots of comments regarding hygiene recently but after checking it out for myself I can be sure to say that hygiene isn’t an issue! Finally Managed to Get to Visit Higgsy’s as i’d heard good things on social media and Friends had been raving about the food they had tried here ………. Turns out We Weren’t disappointed at all . We arrived to be greeted by two friendly People with happy Smiley faces from behind the grills ! The smells coming out of that hut were amazing !! 😳😳. Great Simple Menu , didnt take me long to chose the Redneck ( i may have added some fries …….) and my wife chose the Hillbilly …… ) Wow ….. We visit Florida every year and i may have tried a few American Burgers over the years and i can honestly say Higgsy’s is on a par ( or maybe even better!!!! …..) smash burgers cooked to perfection , no fancy garnishes , just honest well cooked to order food using fresh ingredients , served with a smile , the couple who served us turned out to be the owners !!! Great chat , couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome and to make sure you got exactly what you ordered . The hut looked extremely clean and Hygienic so no worries there ! I have never done a review on here before as I’ve never really felt the need. After my recent experiences I feel I should now. I have never known such a rude, ARROGANT man in all my life. Me and my husband (pensioners) have followed this couple since they started as they are local to us. Yes the burgers are nice but not nice enough for the constant rudeness of the owner. Never known a business owner who can not take any criticism like him. They used to come across so nice and welcoming. The man who owns it called Adam likes to ask for opinions on food but unless you agree with him it does not go down well. I’m now blocked and removed from all Socials for my opinion. Absolutely pathetic people who will get nowhere with this type of behaviour. Zero business skills or people skills for that matter. They are just fake to your face and happy to take your money if you agree with them. If you don’t then they remove you. I will never eat the overpriced burgers again. Also, after watching some live videos I’m glad he’s been so rude to push me away. Absolutely no hygiene rules are followed when preparing food. Wearing the same gloves whilst handling cash, “tucking himself in” and wiping sweat off his face then touching food is appalling.

I love a good burger and I love cheese, so The Swamp made sense! And I was not disappointed!! Omg i could eat again and again, it was just simply amazing. As was passing me and the Wife popped in to give a try, tbh wouldn't be somewhere we would usually eat, however after trying it I'd now go out of my way to have one of their burgers. Looks like they are prepary fresh and are made ready to order, fresh topping, lovely people running it. Fresh, filling and tasty.

I went there to treat my work team to lunch and they were more than happy to handle the large order. After having heard the hype and positive reviews I can happily say they are true. The couple running it were lovely and the food was amazing. Everyone of my staff who I got lunch for thought the food was delicious and we were all stuffed as the portions are big. The burgers themselves are made with quality ingredients which showed as there was virtually no grease and the flavours were great. Excellent food!

I can tell you that I’ve visited Higgsy’s twice and these are the best burgers I’ve had and excellent value too but the real proof is the constant queue, repeat customers and sell out days. Go on, treat yourself.

I came across this place on my travels through Cambs. I thought it looked a little random but I'd give it a try as I was hungry. The food was very nice but a little expensive for a shack. The guy serving me was very arrogant. I also feel hair should be covered when preparing food especially beards that long. It was very unhygienic and off-putting. I wouldn't return unless the hygiene was "upped".

I've had a few higgsy's burgers now and they never disappoint! The bacon triple dixie that they were just doing to raise money for young people's counselling service was unreal! I think the fact that they were donating £1 for every burger sold to a local charity shows exactly who Adam and Amber are - a lovely, genuinely kind couple who like a good laugh! There's nothing wrong with a bit of light heartedness on social media, and people creating accounts on here just to slate their social media strategy is disgusting. Especially those who are shaming Higgsys for shaming others! Absolute hypocrites. Anyway, awesome burgers and awesome couple, and that's what it's all about.

I have visited Higgsy’s numerous times and I have sampled most, if not all the menu now and I’m struggling to find fault. The food is always cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I love the fact it’s cooked to order. At times this has cause a small wait due to the popularity, but so worth while it and I have no issues waiting for what I can only describe as a ‘Party in my mouth’. Both owners are friendly and seem to love what they do.
